I don't put much stock in this. Schedule strength is based on last year. Free agency and the draft can turn a team around quickly as can injuries.

Welp until we play the "big boys" we really don't know what we have

Some things are hard to know. I don’t know exactly each call where the WR were supposed to be. Felt like they weren’t running the proper route all the time. Think Reagor and Watkins especially were learning the offense.

LMAO yeah keep playing the worst/weakest teams you can then wonder why you go 1 and out in the playoffs. If you want a SB you gotta run with the big dogs. If you're not the lead dog,the scenery never changes eh??

Trade back with Pitts 1-? Move up a bit using 5ths for Jermaine Johnson,OR stand pat at 16 and take karlaftis)-edge 1-19-Olave-WR 1-20-Wyatt-DT(from Pitts)  2-51-Jalen Pitre-S  2-52(from Pitts)- Faalele(OT) or Watson-WR ( I still would like this kid here,a bit raw may not start but the potential he has kicks my butt)

We were underdogs our whole way to winning the big game. So yeah I’m going to completely disagree. I think the Giants only beat one winning team before they hit the postseason. Think plenty have benefitted by luck and a fortunate week in the schedule. I’m totally fine with any of that. NFL schedule is what it is…I’m not apologizing for it. Toughest league in the world. If we catch a break by getting a better team on a Thur. Game or whatever….I’ll take it. This is big boy football. Not like your love of Ohio St agreed they okay nobody on the road that isn’t conference. Pro football. You are who you are. Complain about little injury here or there….we’ve dealt with our share there. So I don’t accept excuses. A win is a win is a win in the greatest level of all sports.

Blind faith….blind faith? Just not a doubt to anybody the Hurts lives and breaths football. He works hard and is coachable. It’s obvious a guy of his characteristics is going to improve.

Yeah Miami won the SB lol

Tua should be done after this year.  The supporting cast is there, so no excuses.   He shouldn't be bad as that supporting cast will be enough to prevent that...but will he be good enough to win?   If not, we should assume Miami becomes the destination for the next free agent or vet QB that wants out.

LMAO-too funny.

Hell even Miami stood strong with Tua didn’t hear there names mixed in with the QB market this offseason.

they said Tua was there guy and went out and got him help.

Same guy that has almost identical stats to Hurts through 2 years in the same amount of games as a starter

Right... so that's my strategy with Hurts.  Tua is on his show me year, no excuses.  I feel we get Hurts everything he needs and then move on after this year.   Surely though, the Eagles are being prudent by looking at all the other options.  They know what's up.

LMFAO, yeah means nothing if you play the worst teams possible. Please go be a moron in your own corner

May change with the draft a bit, still I'm sure all that is factored in. This will be 2 years in a row(last year we had THE Easiest of all teams) where we avoid playing the top guns all year. That's fine, but with another easy schedule I expect 10 wins this year

Warren Sharp’s 2021 NFL Strength of Schedule methodology correctly forecasted that 6 of these Top 7 teams would rank inside the Top 10 easiest schedules (only the Bengals did not).   Yep total BS,means nothing(even though it's accurate lol)

Thought he improved his accuracy without question

Really?   Because I thought the issue in 2020 for both QBs was the awful protection.  He had to throw the ball away constantly.   Say one out of every 10 or so pass attempts ( which is probably generous)   that's really taking 10% off his actual accuracy # in 2020... didn't seem like he improved much other than the fact that he was able to make short throws instead of having to throw so many balls away last year.

IDK if I recall(could be wrong) he had one of the top times as far as holding onto the ball. That DID improve some around mid season, but I still saw basically 1 read,so that point needs serious work if he's going to be here after this year

I agree ... it was different than 2020 where it was clear it the WRs were doing their assignments perfectly... but the QB was the issue.   We need to give credit to Hurts, as the WR position had a lot of injuries last year...it wasn't as stable as 2020... plus he had to bring Smith along, who wasn't as good as Fulgham and the other practice squad guys

We were underdogs for one reason only.   Vegas didn't believe in Foles.   We were thr best team from start to finish in 2017, it wasn't really close.

Would be interesting to take the schedule strength prediction at the beginning of the year and compare it to the actual schedule after the season is over.

So you think the Eagles didn't benefit from their schedule last year.   Coincidence they haven't beaten a 9 win or better team that had their starting QB since 2019?

The issue is... he is going on year 3 of a rookie deal.   There is no way around the fact that in 2024 if he is the Eagles starting QB... he will be making big money.  Whether it's 30 mil, 40 mil or 50 mil....  it really doesn't matter, there is no way around having to pay him.

Really after this year, if the idea is that he is good, they should have to pay him. Otherwise he will be seen as a lame duck going into his final year.

Now understand this... if the idea is that he is a great person with all the intangibles... ( forget the obvious elephant in the room with his appearance) ... the PR would be absolutely brutal if the Eagles don't pay a guy who has the skills... and those incredible intangibles.

The only reason not to pay him, will be that he doesn't show the skills.  That's it.   So either he is going to be paid next year, or it's obvious they will be moving on.

So as I've stated, if Hurts gets a second contract in the NFL, he will be considered a winner.   That contract will be huge ... unless it's elsewhere as a backup.

If it's accurate, I see no reason we can't win 10 games. Anything less would be embarrassing. We should beat the Wuss twice, gnats also, maybe split with Dullaz with a little luck, so that's 5 wins right there.

Personally, unless he made GIANT strides,I can't see paying him that amount of money. It will be interesting to me to see what happens if we get more WR weaponry in here. No word on Parker,so it would have to come in the draft. Pascal is fine as a BU,but we have too many BU WR's and not enough JUICE on the field. Getting a guy like Olave or Wilson who are both NFL ready WR's opposite Smith will show Hurts weaknesses and/or if he has made the giant leap to becoming that guy we want to pay the big bucks to. I don't see that happening, but have zero clue what they will do after this year. I suspect we hit the draft for that. if we fail to get 2 more serious WR's in here, then we really have no clue what kind of value to place on Hurts,so for me that is the key I need to see
