May change with the draft a bit, still I'm sure all that is factored in. This will be 2 years in a row(last year we had THE Easiest of all teams) where we avoid playing the top guns all year. That's fine, but with another easy schedule I expect 10 wins this year

It's not factored in, you idiot.   Neither is the draft class, the free agent signings nor guys coming off IR.....not to mention new coaching staffs and new schemes, 2nd & 3rd year players emerging.....even guys getting injured in OTA's and camp.

So no, strength of schedule can't predict a f------- thing.

Ease off on the personal attacks.

There are plenty of other places to go if you wanna do that stuff.

Personally, unless he made GIANT strides,I can't see paying him that amount of money. It will be interesting to me to see what happens if we get more WR weaponry in here. No word on Parker,so it would have to come in the draft. Pascal is fine as a BU,but we have too many BU WR's and not enough JUICE on the field. Getting a guy like Olave or Wilson who are both NFL ready WR's opposite Smith will show Hurts weaknesses and/or if he has made the giant leap to becoming that guy we want to pay the big bucks to. I don't see that happening, but have zero clue what they will do after this year. I suspect we hit the draft for that. if we fail to get 2 more serious WR's in here, then we really have no clue what kind of value to place on Hurts,so for me that is the key I need to see

Yep. I see it like this, if they want to give Hurts a true shot then they should draft a WR in the 1st. Hell, the top FA WR's are gone; right? Even if they get him another talented weapon I'm doubtful it will materialize. He needs serious work on his long ball accuracy and reads.  We'll see

6/7 is pretty good whatever science he uses idiot. I'm sure he will reset it after all that happens moron

I agree ... it was different than 2020 where it was clear it the WRs were doing their assignments perfectly... but the QB was the issue.   We need to give credit to Hurts, as the WR position had a lot of injuries last year...it wasn't as stable as 2020... plus he had to bring Smith along, who wasn't as good as Fulgham and the other practice squad guys

Our WR room is clearly a work in progress. Young guys improving. No more Reagor all the time holding things back. Feel we gotta get a playmaker to get this offense on good footing.

We were underdogs for one reason only.   Vegas didn't believe in Foles.   We were thr best team from start to finish in 2017, it wasn't really close.

Yep shutdown city with Darby and Mills. Those guys are still Pro Bowl. Big V still the best T in the game. You missed what made that season so special. It’s sad. Great story of a group of guys playing their hearts out for each other.

So you think the Eagles didn't benefit from their schedule last year.   Coincidence they haven't beaten a 9 win or better team that had their starting QB since 2019?

Many SB winning teams actually didn’t beat a bunch of great teams during the season. Giants I think beat one winning team….then we’re hit during the playoffs and won it all. This is big boy NFL football. Your excuses are pretty lame. But yeah….we are starting something new. Takes time. How many teams are their best the first few games with new young coaches? Yep….just not the way it works. Everybody is learning on the job here. We’ve hit some bumps in the road already. Gannon was giving up record setting completion percentage early on. It was pathetic. Not sure how you think a guy can install everything in one TC. Just not realistic point of view from you. You wanted Siri and Gannon to be ultimate polished coaches by week four. Just not fair.

Who cares? We stunk up everything in 2020. It’s 2022. Not much relevance in Then versus now.

The issue is... he is going on year 3 of a rookie deal.   There is no way around the fact that in 2024 if he is the Eagles starting QB... he will be making big money.  Whether it's 30 mil, 40 mil or 50 mil....  it really doesn't matter, there is no way around having to pay him.

Really after this year, if the idea is that he is good, they should have to pay him. Otherwise he will be seen as a lame duck going into his final year.

Now understand this... if the idea is that he is a great person with all the intangibles... ( forget the obvious elephant in the room with his appearance) ... the PR would be absolutely brutal if the Eagles don't pay a guy who has the skills... and those incredible intangibles.

The only reason not to pay him, will be that he doesn't show the skills.  That's it.   So either he is going to be paid next year, or it's obvious they will be moving on.

So as I've stated, if Hurts gets a second contract in the NFL, he will be considered a winner.   That contract will be huge ... unless it's elsewhere as a backup.

Just jumping the gun on everything. He’s had one year as the starter. We have two more seasons before even deciding. He needs to grow and show. Let’s just see what the kid has first. Two more seasons as the starter and we should have a much better sample size of what he brings to the table. Just sit back and let it play out. Who knows what happens? Everything changes so much in two years.

I’d say we need to get Hurts the weapons on offense if you trying to really judge. I just can’t say our WR room has been enough. I like Smitty and Watkins. But they are still learning and growing. Should be better this season. Year two in this offense should help. We have a good TE. Hurts is learning that part. Saw him really make strides there. He prefers the sideline passing more than the middle. So he needs to grow there. But maybe we could get him what he prefers also.

Hey, he went there first, so STFU about it.......if your delicate sensibilities can't handle it, there are safe places for you to go.

It was great to dominate physically the Panthers.   And light up the scoreboard vs the Rams and Denver.  I watch for the football...not for the novel that you are trying to write.   The team consists of 53... you pick out the weakest 3 parts...  look at the other teams...the Eagles were simply better than all of them that year, wasn't really close.

I don't want to get him what he prefers,I want to get what best for the next GOOD QB we get(aka get the TALENT in here). I am NOT building my team around a place holder. A running QB is not good for ANY WR. I want a QB with an arm,an accurate arm, who, in a bad situation, can run if he has to,but PASS first, not 1 read and run. Hurts "improvements' will also be offset by playing teams that have all their players and have watched the film on how to contain him(you know young defenses learn and grow too). Say what you want, but from a developmental aspect Shew is the better QB for these guys to learn from. Hurts is in many ways a 1 trick pony. Force him to run left and he is all done.I'm sure defenses will be working on that more this year

It should be. We even need better BU's than we have. We let this room slide. Every room should be a WIP. maybe Reagor learns(in time),but his attitude stinks and I would trade him if I had the chance

If you traded pick 16+ to the Jets at pick 4 for Gardner, would you do it? Thats a shut down corner for 5 years minimum

Besides taking a WR in round 1(Olave or Wilson I like both),here are some other guys to add to make our WR room better(in theory). If we really want to hit this room Watson in round 2. Round 5- Danny Gray-SMU(check him out) round 6 last pick-Tyquan Thronton-Baylor  The last 2 needs polished, but most do. But both have potential to become contributors, if not starters in a year or 2 and it's a minimal investment at rounds 5/6 to make for the potential they show. Watson in 2 COULD start if he has decent camp coaching. I also like Pierre Strong at RB in round 4 to keep that room fresh with hungry talent

Could be a total steal. Of course he has a QB with an arm (LOL)

Read that number again LOL and he is a Bigger WR. I suspect my dream of getting him in round 6 needs scrapped

Here is my late 1 early round 2 pick

SO,if we can't get say Olave or Wilson when we pick(or there is another BPA choice we are dying to have),I would be ok adding ALL THREE ,of the guys I just posted. round 2-Watson, round 5- Gray, round 5/6- Thornton. All 3 would seriously help our WR now and moving forward

Biggest needs: DL, WR, DB

Philly could afford to look to the edge or the interior -- perhaps both -- of the D-line early on after ranking second-to-last in sack rate last season (4.7%, per Next Gen Stats). Keep in mind that both Fletcher Cox and Javon Hargrave are due to hit free agency in 2023.............I'm still thinking DT and edge first 2
