With Thibedeux you got a serious bust factor. But the highest ceiling. If a coach can get through to him you got a stud.

Once again you just described Ojabo, the only difference is you can't see it LOL. Same thing, one guy is fine, and the other is not. Makes no sense at all.You are inconsistent

We have 3 picks..... you don't have to be safe or aggressive with all 3. It's different than other years.  You can go for one with higher potential that isn't " safe"  with one of those picks.

To me anyone's argument for or against this ....seems simply that they either do or don't like a specific guy.  Which is fine, just keep it there,, no need for scientific explanation  x

A question I would have about the idea of trading back and getting a 1st next year.   Is there a team that would trade up for a player ( I'm thinking it would have to be a QB???)

The Saints gave Winston bridge starter money. Someone could try to jump them for a QB.

So it's OK for Thib, but not ok for Ojabo . Why is he not a safe pick at 30-32? He needs experience, but all rooks do,he just got a late start. He can learn while he is healing. I think he has more upside than Thib, and since we're not going to the SB this year I can wait

I can’t say anybody in this whole draft has more upside than Thib. He’s the exact picture of high NFL ceiling

Then he will go back up before draft day

Ojabo is a pure pass rusher. Which is very coveted….but it’s a weakness. Teams will clearly run right at him. I don’t think it’s an area he can ever be good at either. But saying all rookies need seasoning and experience. But some are more project types with high athletic traits. Seems like most state this about Ojabo. So to me….he isn’t going to be a good player his first two years. If he turns out to be elite pass rusher the rest of his career I think we’d all deal with it. But it adds to the risk with him. Watch my small school End Cameron Thomas. He’s rated as second rounder. I’m not sure I’d take Ojabo over him without injury. Three years invested just to find out if Ojabo is any good is a tough ask. That’s how I see his situation clearly. Just can’t see taking him that early. Huge risk with massive patience needed.

Talk is Detroit would want to move up for our 19 pick. ,We could get a 1 next year the 32 this year

The guys have been overanalyzing this situation for so long. Gotta live a guy to take him top ten. Not sure anybody is feeling that way about him. He could be unbelievable. Or get you fired.

He was disruptive at Michigan with a better guy opposite him. he wont need 2 years LOL Thats a fallacy in your own mind. I say he will take snaps his ROOKIE year even if it's garbage time

I’ve just heard them talking about moving back. They advertising the two pick for sale.

Think the Ain'ts will target Olave right before us at 14 lol,in which case we go to plan B and take Watson on round 2

Being the other DE isn’t a point in his favor. It means the O was focused away from him. Kind of like how we constantly tried to get another guy by Cox. Being the top dog is a whole other story.

They need as much as we do,I dont see them trading back the 2 pick,I see them moving up for our 19 from 32

In my view,if they are sticking with Goff, they better get this team in shape NOW

I think they’ll sell two fairly cheap

They have the 34 also I think. So I pondered 32 and 34 for 19. That’s a tough one though. Not sure what I think there.

Don’t know what they do. They’re terrible. Saved our season curb stomping them and fighting the ship.

IDk 2 could be a QB for them which would help everyone below them out lol

IDK 5 milliion scenarios, but I think Howie moves around ALOT up and down. IDC as long as we fill those holes with GOOD picks

That’s where you’d usually think about trading up. You trade up to get your guy. Trading back is much riskier. Then your relying on your Board more. Scouting and draft prep is so crucial every which way. I want them to go blockbuster on this draft. Give up future picks or whatever is needed. Get these guys in here and developing. Quick turn around from such and old slow team just a couple of seasons ago. We really quickly can get much quicker and younger. Got a good start last year. This year added in could give us the base to ride on for years. Need to give up next year’s second to go get Wilson….do it. Rather fail big than play it too safe. Not confident in Rosie BPA. He needs to get his guy.

Very simple... you take 34 and next year's #1.  Throw in a 6th rounder if necessary.   But getting Detroit's 1st rounder next year could be top 5 you gotta target that pick.

You think Detroit GM doesn’t realize that? Think that’s just a dream on your part.

Our best chance at that kind of steal was this year with the Phins. If they would have fell apart midseason we would have scored. It will take a reckless GM to be one of the few terrible teams to give away what everybody would think is a high pick. Not even sure who or how many teams qualify. The few sure fire guys I’d be completely shocked if they thought of trading their first pick next year. Only way you get high like that is getting somebody then they get devastated with injuries to surprise be that low. I mean really, what team that you could trust to be terrible would give up their first rounder next year? Your looking for a sucker. Be great….realistic? Probably not.

Agreed

Why if they want a new QB they can take him at 2, then still add a nice piece at 19. 32/34 don't offer you as much and they have no plans to go to a SB for a few years either

Parker to the Pats. Another one gets away lol
