Maybe we can get basketball centers to play WR.  Just toss the ball up there

We could have turned LeBron into a dominant TE.

Welp, this signing DOES effect the draft. It's not even a 1 year,it's a 3 year contract. I believe this moves WR to then back burner. Seems to me he will replace Reagor right away

Rugby is at least similar to football. Hurdling-not so much.

He’s actually played football though. But lining up and getting a quick start is massive for WR. Having speed and agility to separate is also a WR skill. Hurdling tacklers….icing on the cake.

The key here is in turn every stone. Don’t be so close minded that only SEC football players that are high picks can contribute to the team. Every team can draft Bama guys on the first two days. Willing to be open to any guy. Having that third string TE and fourth string RB contributing to throwing to the backup QB that played basketball….sometimes….that’s everything.

https://www.footballdb.com/players/devon-allen-allen0162 This leaves me SMH. He barely has any stats. And those were 6 years ago. To sign him to a 3 year seems insane to me without a 1 year prove it deal

Just nfl contract rule stuff. Doubt he’s guaranteed anything. Too deep into boring rule territory for me to care enough to dig into.

WHY would you sign a guy for 3 years that will be on the PS to start with????? Seems seriously stupid

He’s 27. Gives you control possibly for longer….if he did light it up. None of that matters. All about guaranteed money. Be shocked if he had much of that. Don’t sweat it. BS numbers crap.

I guess it depends on the terms of the contract.

I'd think there aren't any guarantees

IDK why you would sign him to a 3 year. He will start on the PS. Maybe he blooms quickly IDK. I would assume it's  cheap contract. He seems excited to get back into football,so giving him a chance is fine, just don't understand why not a 1 year"see if you work out" deal. But whatever. I just hope they are smarter than me

Give me the undrafted LB from Wisconsin. The QB that isn’t tall enough. The rugby guy that never played football. The QB converted to WR. The small school guys that the jump in competition is too great. If I’m a coach those give you the right environment. Real practicing and coaching. Not loafing Primma Donna too good to be taught or try…if it’s not a game. Brings back the days of Vermeil. This team will improve. Iron sharpens iron. Get these guys building that together and the chemistry runs thick. Outside noise about not being good enough underdogs doesn’t rip the team up or effect the team. NFL always seems to test each teams resolve. One bad call going to destroy your team’s day? Or is it going to make each player grab the other and fuel them to overcome….whatever odds?

Vermeil had football players. Let's not forget.  Taking things to the extreme on all the other stuff is what gets teams in trouble.

Sumo wrestlers for the lines.

The 49ers had Montana and Walsh...they brought in the track stud... " Rinaldo Skeets Niamiah"   probably butchering his spelling.   Dude had tremendous work ethic and intangibles to succeed.   Michael Jordan arguably the most intense worker ever in pro sports... didn't exactly light it up for baseball.

Give me guys that can play first... I can figure out the rest from there.

Yep... took us til 2021 to use that strategy... seems good so far.

Anyone need a fire put out... Eagles will draft a good fireman in round 1.  Intangibles off the chart.

Team friendly deal.   He can't get a raise, bit you cut him any time you want without consequences.

IDK I am LMAO, they are putting articles out like this is the signing that gets us over the top. The hype train is at full throttle

Didn’t we draft a skier a few years ago. Great intangibles there
