My guys... 2017.   Dream team was your guys...  fastballs and a defense that was going to play with a lead all the time.   I like the middle of the defense set... DT, LB and S.   You like good 5th string CBs...with Omar Geather and Tim Hauck.  

Let's load up on specific positions we over value... and have scrubs everywhere else.  We need 6 DEs and 6 CBs... even though Lbs and S will be out there on every play.  Shocking the 2017 team where they got LBs and S...was a much better D???   Oh...the 2017 was not the best roster because of Darby and Mills...I forgot CB is all that matters...  Dream team style.

I want to see what Howie gets when he trades Hurts.  IMO,  it will be after next year's draft when a team misses on a QB.    Maybe 2nd round 2024 pick.   That would make 3 picks in that round.  Barring using picks in that round for the QB trade.

Kurt Warner could read a D and make throws.    Leaf ,not so much.   I think you confuse actual talent... with height,  weight and speed.    I'm talking about talent in playing the game.  You can take a major league outfielder who can run and catch...but not play WR well as far as patterns, blocking, timing of routes, cutting, body position...etc.   Not everyone has the talent to do those things.

You like the 2021 Eagles because they struggled and fought real hard vs garbage opponents with backups.   

You like the extra teams making the playoffs because you like the battle between the mediocre teams as opposed to me liking the shorter season and less teams making the playoffs so we can get right to that final 8 weekend where the battle between the absolute best teams begin.

Rudy makes a better story... but not better football.   Rocky was a movie,great story... Apollo and the Russian guy would win in the real world.

The real world, this team needs upgrade with some top tier talent to be relevant.   The intangibles will be a factor once they become relevant.  Difference between a good and a great team.  Talent can make you good... without intangibles it's hard to be great.   Intangibles without talent... you won't even be good. 

I believe Jalen Hurts is a winner ...because he made the league.   I believe that is his ceiling.   I prefer a guy who I would be dissatisfied with if he doesn't win the big game.  Raise the bar.

Also wondering what happens with Shew. he WAS a starter once,with a really CRAP team(not that we're better but he has starting potential). Even if Shew is better in camp,Hurts will start due to Howies ego

Brady didn’t throw deep in college. Also Michigan had that pitcher at QB also with a huge arm. That was the scout report on him.

At QB you gotta have the intangibles. Need that leadership. QB it’s magnified so much more. Guy with the lesser arm like Hurts can beat out the big armed top pick QB in Wentz. Intangibles are/were huge.

I absolutely agree we need more talent. I believe Quez and Smitty will improve and be much better than last season also. Reagor not starting will also help. Really tough for anybody to do but so much with that to start the season.

I’d say Tom Brady is more swimming in intangibles than he is supreme athleticism. He’s pretty good. Not fast. Not a cannon arm.

I like what House does with QBs. Just feels like a given he’ll be improved again as a passer this season. Get him a top WR and he’ll make an even bigger jump

Hurts should start...  they won't get much for Shew .. Hurts needs to start in order to try to salvage something for him.  Need some fantasy stats and atleast one team willing to trade for him.

At QB you need to see the field and make throws.    That's first and foremost.  Nothing matters without that.  The NFL level of doing those two things is much different than college.
