Because specifically the idea is the WR puts KC as a top contender... where as the trade could help us get multiple players ...which we need MULTIPLE... NOT JUST WR!

Why are you a homer..Homer... is Deebo from your area?

While there are no guarantees, round 2 players are not round 1 players. SO this theory only works if you locate 2 round 1 players in round 2. After about the top 10-15 in MOST drafts, the talent level begins to fall off,so you best be sure you don't pass up that stud pick to fill 2 -2 picks with lesser talented players, and while it's entirely possible to do that,It's hard for me to trust Howie to do it since he whiffs round 1 picks alot let alone locate round 1 talent in round 2

Eagles brought in Matt Corral for a predraft visit. He seems to have cooled off a ton after being thought of as one of the top QBs in this group.

Style wise though gots in that similar mold of Hurts that RPO style QB only difference I think Corral has a strong arm.

Personally would probably pass on Corral but wouldn’t shock me if we took him keep that QB FACTORY GOING!!!!!

I keep LMAO, what QB factory? Like me saying I build cars and have a Yugo factory.

Eagles are hosting another WR this week. Ohio State’s Chris Olave is visiting today, according to Adam Shefter. Alabama’s Jameson Williams visited already NFL draft is 2 weeks away. I think the Birds will come away with DL & WR in first round. What do you think they will do?

Thats the way I have had it awhile. WR and either edge or DT

So here is my thinking if we trade back. We would need to give up either a round 1 WR or DL player. I we traded back to say 29-32 somewhere in there, there is help there for our secondary in Elam and Daxton Hill. Ojabo is floating around in that area also and with the Reddick signing, allows him time to heal up and learn alot more. Then we would have to take either a WR or DL round 2 or 3. So there are a myriad of possibilities. Not as cut and dried when we have 1 pick per round. So,oit comes down to how the team has them rated. Is CB/S worth more than a top WR or DL guy? Going to be a really interesting draft and I suspect we use those 5 picks to move up a few spots when we need to

Like you I would pass and wait for next year when we have a shot at the top 2 in Young and Stroud. Stroud would be a reunion with Olave/Wilson if we got either this draft.Young would be a reunion with Smith,so sitting nicely either way as far as getting ahead on "chemistry/timing"

The Miami QB Van Dyke is the guy that is intriguing me the most for next year QB class but lot will change by this time next year lol.

But as it stands right now 3-4 highly rated QBs seem to headline the 2023 class

Why I threw it in there just for the laughs lol 😂

I could see the eagles pouncing on Corral or Willis if one of them slides far enough, but I think this is just a pretty nice smokescreen by the Eagles.  They are using their reputation as QB hoarders to get teams to trade up in front of them, but they are really just trying to create a better draft board available at their picks for the guys they like at EDGE/CB/WR.

What happens then would we sit a QB we spent a 1st on(I’d image would cost a 1st for Willis possible Corral) and still play Hurts? Do we trade Hurts and ride with the rookie QB? I don’t see us keeping Hurts and starting a rookie QB.

Yeah I'ms sure there will be alot of movement, always rise as the draft gets closer

You got me HAHAHA

Updated mock.  Move up down as needed. 1-15 Jermaine Johnson- edge-FL st.. I just like the way this guys "fits"   1-18-Chris Olave-WR-OSU. Really need to kick up this WR room and this will help(although we have WR's scouted through round 5) 2-51-  Pitre-S-Baylor(him or Brisker)  3-83- Tariq Woolen-CB-UTSA  3-101- Jelani Woods-TE-Virginia(lose Jjaw and a few TE's)  4-124-Zach Carter- DT-FL  5-154-Tyquan Thornton-WR-Baylor (yes another WR to boost the room) 5-162-Alec Lindstrom-C-BC   5-166- Otito Ogbonita-DL-UCLA(need to get this guy just for his name LOL)    7-237-Ellis Brooks-LB-Penn    UDFA Verdell-RB-Oregon Nick Zakelj-OT-Fordham  Isaiah Weston-WR-Iowa

Why do you assume everything is in this draft.  I would assume that if they trade with KC... they may look to add something this year, plus next year.

I don't get your issue...there are draft trades every year.  Are you saying the team that trades down loses every one of those trades?

I think if you step back from being a MUST to take a WR, into the " it would be great to take one" group,   then you would see the purpose.

Plus we all .. well not all of us... see the value in getting additional picks in the future for a probable move to get a QB.  Should be obvious the more we get the better.

Man you really like to pigeon hole your ideas about the draft.. gotta be this position or that position.   If not this position round 1 then we need to take it in round 2.    The team needs everything.

Or trying to accumulate more assets in a possible trade.

If you are KC .... thinking Pittsburgh wants to move up...say they offer 20 plus a 2nd round pick.   You can offer 29.... but now what do you have to offer to make it seem better.  That's 9 spots...a big drop.   You gotta come up much better than that 2nd round pick.  Much better.

Imagine... Kelce almost 6 million under the top 10 average OL... and Cox more than 4 million under.

Then imagine Hurts getting 40 million and Sanders getting 12 million.

This is where people need to realize when they talk up Hurts and Sanders... are you willing to pay these guys, because that's what it costs if you think they are so talented.

Why is trying to find the best value for ALL that we need "pigeon holing"??? Howie will try to do this very things on draft days

SO draft the guys that would cost you the most in FA lol

There's nothing wrong with sitting a1st rd Qb for a year.  Willis and Corral are both prime candidates to be redhsirted no matter where they go.  Anyways, Hurts is a running Qb who is likely to get dinged again at some point in the 17 game season.

Where do you see the hole in this current situation?

Hurts sat plenty his rookie season.

I’m jumping at CB. Think they are low comparatively.

This shows why all draft picks aren’t the same. Hitting on a pass rusher or Wr gives you so much more value than a Lb.

Wentz was supposed to sit his rookie year, then somebody offered 1st rdr for Bradford.

He was a round 2 pick
