Will say the only thing that shocked me today was that we didn’t move at all thought for sure we would trade down to collect more picks…

All in all day we have done well first two days of the draft

If Kelce likes this kid as his heir, then that's fine. I just wasn't expecting to spend a 2 on one. I don't hate the pick, just where we took him. Like you I think we still could have traded back and gotten him anyway, but I guess they felt some kind of risk doing so

ASG said we are kinda in the mix for Honey badger. Love to have him and our secondary needs him

For winning in 2022 and moving down next year's draft... or to have the young badger in place for the future?

Future,I would expect to sign him long term like Brown although his impact would be immediate. I doubt the Saints are going to light up the league this year,so that pick should be higher than our own

He turns 30 in 2 weeks.

We have guys playing that are 34. Slay is 31

We came into the draft w/ 12 mill cap space. Don't see how we afford the badger after the brown trade. We're carrying 36 mill dead cap which sucks! We've restructured many of our players already, kicking it down the road. I'm debt averse, don't even have a credit card - cash or debit.

Brown is 4.5 mil against the cap

That's it? His salary isn't on OTC yet so haven't seen the breakdown.

Apparently so,he gets about 25 mil a year.but the way the contract is it's 4-4.5 mil against the cap this year. I'm not adept at this stuff

I’d take two strong picks in day 1 over 3 day 3 picks every day of the week

Ok. But you can either get this SAME guy or a potential stud S by staying put AND keeping those other 3 picks. Nobody knows if Baltimore would have taken the DT. PURE SPECULATION. And they may get the last laugh in that deal.

Welp 2 picks left tomorrow. The 7th I'm not worrying about. I hope we take my sleeper RB there. I have no clue about 154. SB a BU player,so who needs backed up?

OK, Brown gets just under 4 mill as the last yr of his rookie deal

IDK we signed him for 4 years at 100 million,so IDk if that rookie thing still holds true. Maybe it did or we gave him a little raise to sign

57 mill guaranteed, the rest will be in bonuses we spread out over 5-6 yrs

I'm doubting that he lasts until 154,but if he's there I'd take him. He has that "nope not on my watch" attitude I love

Was just going over the roster again and we have a lot of bodies in secondary positions. Surely the FO knows more than I do of what those bodies are capable of. Yes we traded a lot of picks away but on paper we got great quality. Some drafts I want a lot of picks, others like this I felt we needed quality. We got the possible future replacements for Cox and Kelce, a true #1 WR who leaves no excuses for our QB and a great deal on a much needed LB if he can get healthy.

Yeah I'm hoping with the quality intake we can lose some dead weight. Should be able to clear out WR and TE a bit. Maybe we see a little player trade for a pick going on tomorrow?  Only 4 S's which is why i was concerned. pretty thin

Doesn't mean I wouldn't have liked to have taken those late rd picks and try for Pitre, but that's coming from me and I have no idea who half the guys in our secondary are.

Liked seeing Dorenbos announce. Last time I saw him he was doing magic on AGT

And nobody knows if we could have gotten Davis at 15 if we stayed pure speculation

He's a fabulous magician. He wowed me!!

I still say the NFL should have increased the roster limits and salary caps for the extra game. Wasn't it only 12 games when we were kids?

I believe they did increase the PS amount some and changed some rules about bringing them up in the event they needed to suit up,so in a way that raised the roster count a little
