So what did we learn in preseason game 2?

* Allen is fast AND can catch - so he is about to get cut.

* 2nd string D Is bad.

That’s it. Cant get those 3 hours back. Preseason os a joke. Looks like the coaches dont even want to play these games.

Did you ever join my fantasy league? We draft in 6 days(next Sunday). I am short 3 teams. I guess noone wants to play anymore. I pay for the league,it costs you nothing

OK so is it the athletes or are they trying "weird" plays or were they vanilla plays?. They aren't letting Shew get the rust off or letting Strong take experience reps? I know it's pre 2 and even though it's a long shot what if Hurts got hurt and out for the season on the first play? I thinki they need to feed them a few more reps- JMO

If Hurts goes down for the season week one we become a five win team.

Lots of variables, not all about money. Some will only play with certain teams no matter how much money you offer them. Some want more guaranteed money. Some want 5 year contracts when we will only offer 3,so there are alot of factors at work here

Definitely….but we were in the negotiations for his services. So you would think he’d consider playing here. Our problem is have no money ….so we have to offer future money MORE

Joke to watch, but the feedback for coaches is great. if you have 3 less than stellar guys vying for 1 job,you find out the 2 you can cut lol,so then you are down to 1 less than stellar guy who maybe has some potential in time

We rostered all these DBs that pretty much did nothing last season. Added to that this year. A couple of those guys need to prove to be good players. If the coaches can’t develop anybody in the secondary we need new coaches. Epps, Maddox, Bradbury, Slay and Harris were already developed. A bunch of dead weight on the roster last year having all these young DBs that didn’t play.

It was great for Allen to get that highlight moment in football before he goes back to training for the track world.

I'm thew biggest animal person on the planet,I do not need lectured by YOU. Did i say what he did was right???? Show me where i said that. I dare you to find it. So you are an expert in non promiscous men? Amazing stuff you can find on this board. I'll wait until you find that statement saying I condone dog fighting. I'll wait. Pity you cannot fathom one iota of what I mean, but that is on you my friend. GO TIGER,set up a statue in your yard so you can worship him daily. Just the epitome of manhood

I did not make any Statement about this. You did! "Cheaters will cheat again and again,so who changed and who didn't? " That is what you said....

BS you give Tiger a pass because he is a WEALTHY cheater. Complete BS. I'm pretty surprised to see this crap coming from you. Like everyone who isn't rich doesn't give to these places???? Tiger single handedly holds them afloat??? I'm thrilled you worship the rich cheater. I will not. They do it because its a damn tax write off and YOU KNOW IT. SO back to football and don't forget to polish your hero's statue before you go to bed. Like the article states that was the norm where he was raised,so go argue with his town/county. I'm sure poor inner city kids know right from wrong with no parents around. Tiger was silver spooned his whole life. So did you give up steak, chicken eggs and lobster yet? Those are not raised for pets either. Every egg you eat kills a chicken, but that's ok. Cows are not raised for sport(sans bull fighting). Better stop rodeo events also as that is animal abuse. No Thanksgiving turkey for you from now on. Cut out bacon, ham. Go visit Haiti and tell them they are all wrong and their society is all wrong and to fix it this instant(I'm sure they will listen even though that is what they have believed for centuries that cats are food and I'm certain you know better and I'm sure they will listen because you are "civilized"). I never said I condoned what Vick did,I said i UNDERSTAND it and there was ZERO reason for Tiger to cheat on his beautiful wife and kids and terrific life they had. he just did that because he's a jerk. I give to these places too,so I am a hero???? I have personally rescued over 700 dogs, so don't lecture me.How many years did Tiger spend in jail? If anyone who cheated had to do 2 years maybe that would help, but as it stands with the moral decay there aren't enough jail cells. I'm done with this BS. back to football(not golf)

Well, I do not think they electrocute Bulls at the Rodeo or kill them if they cannot throw a rider. I am not condoning what Tiger did, so STOP IT. I am saying many others do it, but you seem to ignore them. Fletcher Cox Knowingly had an affair with a married woman. Is that OK? Cox was not married so he gets a pass? It is all over with these famous athletes it is not funny. I heard some talk show host comment that a high profile Athlete should not get married before he reached 26 years of age because they cannot handle it. They are at fault for sure, but these women are pros and are constantly making plays for them, regardless if they are married or not. YES, it is wrong to cheat on your wife. I never did it nor even think about it as I love my wife.

But Vic Knowingly mistreated dogs in ways that are shocking to hear. You really think he is sorry? Seriously? OK, I am done talking about this. You have your opinion and I respect it, even if I disagree. Let's move on.

Dallas always gets hyped more than they should...every win means they are SB contenders.  Schedule matters.  They are overrated,  this group from the last few years.   All in on the wrong players.

I think Pollard is the better back right now... I wonder what Dallas does when his contract comes up for renewal...

NFL has a whole season to adjust to Hurts lot more film to watch of him. Teams will adjust now it’s up to Hurts to be able to counter it

You have to think it was one of his major training goals. To throw while moving to his left...?

I can see the NFL streaming practices and having people pay for the right to watch. With all of these 2 team practice sessions, it may happen. Cut the preseason down to two games...

  Something is going to happen....

We supposedly had all this available money according to some….but missed out on the top FA S after we were involved in negotiating for his services because the price tag got too high…..yet now these other top S are getting much more than he signed for 😳

What about the other 31 teams?

14 hours ago, cunninghamtheman said:

I believe if you clear the cap then you opens longer championship window. But if we are just going to spend anyway…then don’t balk at the top S over the money being too high…when the market at that position ballon’s massively after he is signed.

Boy, I if you were a Dallas fan it would be hilarious watching you complain. " clear the cap"  " sign every free agent"

The Eagles decide who they want to pay for, if they wanted your S, then they would have gotten him.    They obviously chose not to spend the $$.  They chose to spend on Kelce, Cox, Barnett, White, Redick, Brown, Bradberry etc.

So I'm curious... in 2022... because that's the year we are in now...  you want to clear the cap... you wouldn't have sign the guys I mentioned above?   I'm not arguing,  it's definitely a strategy to clear some cap to open up mote space to sign guys later when we have a legit QB in place.    But it's just hilarious after all these other moves you just focus on the one they didn't move.  Who is this S that we need to keep an eye on the next 4 years?

What I believe isn’t always the same as Rosie. Especially about clearing the cap. So if we aren’t going to clear the cap might as well sign really good players at what quickly becomes less than market value.

They didn't sign enough I guess....which team signed more players than the Eagles?

Right but what about all the players that Dallas doesn't sign?  They handle the cap exactly how Ham wants.  Apparently nobody wants to sign there even though " they were seen by most as an elite team"  ?

I would think some players don't go to a specific team because he doesn't like the Coach or the GM or even the owner. I would assume players talk to others and let them know what their experiences are with this or that coach, right? I mean he does not have to do with strictly money in some cases...

We were in negotiations for a lot of players services..  so were a lot of other teams with a lot of other players.    The player chooses one team.  That's why " clearing the cap" and relying on free agency is not the be all end all.  However you look at it, you can't go multiple years in a row with nothing to show for your drafts.  Your idea that you can save up all your money and just buy everyone in free agency isn't how you run a team.    They tried that in 2011... pay everyone else on the outside to come in and play and didn't think of how it impacted the mentality of the players already on the team.

The simple concept of choosing the wrong players doesn't seem to register with you?    They draft or sign the wrong players,  that's why the team is where it is.    It's player selection.

Shared.. the thing that matters to me is the timing.   Who is on the field during key plays.   That's where if " Sanders was special "  they wouldn't take him out... for 3 years running.    On key plays you want your best players on the field.    Gainwell seemed to be that guy right from jump last year vs ATL.

2 games is perfect.  One home game each team.  To me the games are irrelevant, but it's practice for the entire ritual that matters most.  Game day routines, day before and after are part of it.  Stadium crews getting a practice run.... parking and all the other stuff involved as well.  Each team, stadium and city getting one practice before the real thing is enough IMO.

Geography too.... like if a player was from a certain area ( take Louisiana as an example) they may choose to sign with the Saints for a little less?  Probably use other teams just to bring the price up a little?

Wanted to draft that S Dax Hill….but we trade the pick. Several teams were bidding on the FA S so feels like there is a consensus that he’s a very good player.
As far as the other 31 teams…they’ve made moves to get S. Drafted them. Signed FA. Traded for them. We pickup leftover Tartt and bring back Harris.

This isn’t what I’ve said at all. If you clear cap and build a team through the draft and affordable FA you can however afford to add the missing piece or two to complete the championship puzzle. It can actually last and be sustainable also. Seems like the most obvious basic simple concept…to me at least.

Or we can do the No Mas plan of maxing out so we can try and win a playoff game.

Or it got us just four wins the season before
