Let's say  DeVonta Smith, A.J. Brown, Quez Watkins, Zach Pascal are all on the 53. Who's the 5th - Greg Ward, Deon Cain, Devon Allen. Ward shows up but think he's gone. Cain's been pretty solid and who doesn't like Allens' speed. Not just speed but that double move was enough to fool a lot of coverages.

The two guys you left off are leading for that spot. Reagor we have to pay this year and next….so just dropping him cost more. Covey is the minute speedy WR. These two are battling to be our return men as well.

Was hoping Reagor would get traded, on the fence about Covey

I’ve been wanting to trade Reagor as well. But really if we have a starter go down I’d want to haveReagor. He was always considered a developmental guy. Nobody really called him polished in his draft notes. He clearly has a higher ceiling than anybody else in consideration for that last spot or two in the WR room.

Wanted to draft that S Dax Hill….but we trade the pick. Several teams were bidding on the FA S so feels like there is a consensus that he’s a very good player.
As far as the other 31 teams…they’ve made moves to get S. Drafted them. Signed FA. Traded for them. We pickup leftover Tartt and bring back Harris.

Traded the pick for a 1st, 2nd and 3rd.... you act like they forfeited the pick.  You make that trade EVERY year.

Not how I see the trade at all. They gave up a third to move up in the first just like we have several times now. So we got a first next year and a second in 2024 for our mid first round pick. That future first could be a lower pick. We had an elite starter S in our crosshairs at that pick. Have a huge need a S. Pick Hill!

Decided to peak at how Dax is doing so far. Here’s the excerpt about his latest game: And how about rookie safety Dax Hill? The first-rounder who has been as advertised will be playing special teams when Jessie Bates III returns, but on Sunday he reminded everyone he's fit as seamlessly as any Bengals rookie has in recent memory.

He flashed his terrific speed and range with six tackles in just a half of 43 plays and his first NFL interception, a diving scoop off the turf via a tipped ball from Jones on the second series. On the first series, on third-and-five, the Giants tried to outflank him on an outside flare to running back Antonio Williams, but Hill and his 4.38 40-yard speed swallowed Williams a yard shy of the first and when edge Joseph Ossai stuffed the run on the next play, a fourth-and-one, the Bengals had the ball.

Early returns point towards the guy we needed being right there for the taking.

But yeah let’s go with No Mas theory of winning the draft day by adding a 2024 second round pick instead of the stud S we so badly need. I’ll take the stud player selection over winning drafts on paper. Especially when the stud player fits a position of need.

Well, I do not think they electrocute Bulls at the Rodeo or kill them if they cannot throw a rider. I am not condoning what Tiger did, so STOP IT. I am saying many others do it, but you seem to ignore them. Fletcher Cox Knowingly had an affair with a married woman. Is that OK? Cox was not married so he gets a pass? It is all over with these famous athletes it is not funny. I heard some talk show host comment that a high profile Athlete should not get married before he reached 26 years of age because they cannot handle it. They are at fault for sure, but these women are pros and are constantly making plays for them, regardless if they are married or not. YES, it is wrong to cheat on your wife. I never did it nor even think about it as I love my wife.

But Vic Knowingly mistreated dogs in ways that are shocking to hear. You really think he is sorry? Seriously? OK, I am done talking about this. You have your opinion and I respect it, even if I disagree. Let's move on.

It's "take a tab" where 31 teams have to wait around for the Eagles to decide who they want first

LMAO so out of the 8 holes we had to fill we filled 7 and you are unhappy we didn't fill all 8 in a year?? A rebuild doesn't happen in 1 year. maybe 3. Nice draft and off season the last 2. If we can do that again a year from now we will be in great shape. First we fixed the screw up drafting your boy Reagor with Brown,we got a bookcase CB to pair with Slay,we potentially have Kelce's replacement ,we got potentially the best pick in the draft in Davis(thats 4 holes right there, should I go on?) But because we didn't fill the S position with top tier FA, or draft pick, the whole thing comes crashing down? We're DOOOOOOOOOOMED. If we lose to Detroit in the opener Lurie should sell the team, the season is over 🤣. besides all the hole filling Howie also rolled it over and got us another 1 pick next year. IDK what else you could do Ham.If this offense 1/2 way functions like it should we won;t need a bunch of defense. So if you had to choose would you take Brown or your S you wanted? Signing Bradberry will be just as effective(if not more). Tartt is NOT a terrible S either. Let's see what this team looks like before we go jumping off cliffs

What does it take to win it all? To me it takes filling out the whole squad. Bringing back Harris was a weak move….borderline mistake. Signing the top FA S for what ends up being five mil less a season than market value seems wise….they balked at the price. Not that they didn’t covet him. Not that they didn’t pursue him. They backed out at 14 mil. S just signed for 19 mil. Do the math. Or how about we take the pick we have and draft an elite S talent that runs a sub 4.4 forty. Nope we bring in Tartt.

This isn’t what I’ve said at all. If you clear cap and build a team through the draft and affordable FA you can however afford to add the missing piece or two to complete the championship puzzle. It can actually last and be sustainable also. Seems like the most obvious basic simple concept…to me at least.

How do you build through the draft with trash draft picks? Reagor was such a WASTE. When you can't make proper draft choices, then you have to go out and spend money,we did both this year so what the heck do you expect?. Then you have stupid things like the JP debacle and paying Wentz to go away(contractual so there was no "out" there). So now it's Hurts team to lose. he will either be signed to a long term deal(for BIG money) or he will be replaced(if Strong is not the guy either). Anyway,I want to see this team in action for 4-5 weeks, only way to know what's what. Looks good on paper, but we know that's not reality

Rosie made some good moves. I’m not denying that. Just noting how much better we could potentially be this season (and future seasons)with an elite S. I’m a fan of Epps….but he can’t do it alone. Today’s NFL you need three S regularly playing.

Stud ROOKIE S or proven cpmmodity in Brown what's your choice?

SO forget Tartt and forget Brown because you wanted a S draft pick. if we're scoring 38 points a game how much defense do we need??? Just enough to hold the oppponent to 35 lol

Did we sign Tartt???

Both was the available choice

We had three first round picks

We tried the "dream team" remember??? How did that work out? Howie is building a team that will contend for years not just THIS one

Of coarse trading with the Saints enabled them to trade up for Olave. You didn’t want him did you? That forced the WR draft market to go higher. So you didn’t want a WR drafted early did you?

So taking an elite S in the first would stunt our future now?

Olave was my WR pick for us,you know that. We already had Smith, who is only a 2 year man. Another rookie Howie felt was not the best move and Hurts wanted brown here,so now you wish to not please Hurts and give him the player he wants?

Still leaves two other first round picks, no?
