Sure, but in post season that gets magnified. Defending Kittle WILL be a problem for us. I'm hoping we can blitz a little more than normal. Like to see Davis in Purdys face

Lol... i hear you...I'm just saying... stop the run and get to the QB is like understood universal strategy.  Nothing new...regardless of the game.

Welcome to Philly kid.

The TE is free agent, the big LB... 4th year for Lamb and Diggs...etc.   they have $$$ issues coming up.  They lack cap space, they need Dak and Lawrence to redo and create more dead money.

I like our approach. Build your team through the draft and FA's cheap. When you think you are but a few pieces away go all in. VS Jerruah trying to sign the dream team every year. Will be fun for me to watch the implosion this year as they become they new Saints as far as having to lose majorly good players they can't pay 🤣

yeah, but again vet QB's will know ways to get around alot of that,a rook will panic and cave,so that's the advantage I see that we need to exploit. Purdy is good, but he is still a rook

You are facing Tom Brady....what is your strategy?    Mine...stop the run and get to him early.  That's a 30 year vet.... you got a different one being his experience?

If you can do it with 4 fine,if you need to bring more Brady will kick your arse all day and I think Purdy panics there

You put pressure on a QB...it shortens the time he has to make decisions.  Hitting him always helps... and the quicker you get to the QB it's less time for the routes to develop.

It's always the strategy, regardless.

This one.. all the stuff that Ham brought up is the specific ideas or this opponent.  I think if we give cushion in coverage,  it's a problem due to their guys ability to run after catch.  Tight coverage would be my team specific strategy vs 49ers.  Maybe use a DB on CMC.

Idk ..  Brady was struggling this year reading the pressure.  The lost art of disguised blitzes is a thing.   Then the whole team needs to adjust on the fly.  Sending extra guys isn’t the issue..disguising it is.

Seems to me the 9ers play that softer coverage at times, but have the speed from their DB's to jump routes. They usually have guys behind other guys(you saw the Dullaz pick), so positioning for me will be crucial. You can lure inexperienced QB's into tossing those passes they can jump

yeah I would like to see some stunts used, see if we can get to them with 4

Basics will be needed. Good tackling is worth alot to me. We need to avoid them getting YAC's which is hard to do with Caff, Deebo and Kittle

Purdy threw for 214 yds, 0 TD's, 0 INT's. Their leading rusher - Mitchell had 51 yds and TE Kittle caught 5 passes for 95 yds. Cowboys lost to that and what we host next wk.

It's why the cushion doesn't work for me.  Get on them as soon as they catch it.

Cowboys fans brawl as they watch team lose to 49ers in playoff game

How bout them Cowboys

I played TE in HS,but everyone on the team was required to learn everyone else positions. We had a defensive set call called Kitty Cat.That was a 3rd down code for the secondary to not actually lay off,but to not cover as tight as usual. That would entice the QB to throw so we could "pounce on" the route. Wasn't used alot, but was very effective in certain instances. IDK if they have this in the pros,I assume they would

Sure... but no 12 or 15 yard cushions please.   The one play Saturday night they basically handed the Giants the first down.

Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts has completed 50% of his passes 25+ yards or more (20-of-40), for 798 yards, 10 touchdowns, 1 interception, and a 125.0 quarterback rating.

Those numbers give Hurts the most touchdowns and the highest passer rating in the NFL when attempting passes over 25+ yards. His NFC Championship opponent, the 49ers allows a 41% rate on passes of 25+ yards (16-of-39), for 687 yards, five touchdowns, two interceptions, and a 106.6 rating allowed, which puts San Francisco in the bottom five.

Agreed, that is not loose coverage that is NON coverage

Remember when some didn't think Hurts could throw the long ball?

Hmm, long ball to me is 50+ as in the Air Coryelle bomb days. I'm fine with accurate 40's LOL

Last year he couldn't. He improved his accuracy unbeliveably

9ers have alot better weapons than the Gnats. We will be tested(and that's a good thing) I think we see all all out brawl on the field. Whomever wins will be ready for the SB because they won the tough fight. I'm glad the "imposters" did not slot their way in. 4 good teams left as it should be

Yep,that was a HUGE thing I needed to see and he delivered

Cowpies also don't have the receiving corps we do, allowing the 9ers to play single high. Wonder id we dress Pascal and Quez? Know Quez has been in the doghouse lately, but he's come up with some good plays.

I'm starting to become a Blankenship fan. He made some boo boo's,but he also made some excellent plays. As he grows the boo boo's will be weeded out. I think the 9ers will have as tough a time covering Goedert as we will have covering Kittle. I think we can also hit Quez as that could be a weakness in their secondary

As a former TE, I was in awe of that one Kittle catch, unreal concentration. I think that catch really took the wind outta dem boyz defense
