Purdy isn’t remotely ready for our pressure in the Linc!

Our D has to play the run basically.

The QB matchup ...you would think is in our favor.    Let's see.

Our power went out at 4 AM after 6 hours i broke down anf pulled the generator out of the garage.

Before i could get it plugged in the damn power came back on.  I guess i should have pulled it out 2 hours ago

Always how it works

I remember a game we lost to Tampa on a 60 plus yard FG.   We had a 17 point lead with the ball under 40 seconds left in 3rd quarter inside their 35.  Should have been a run, and next play would start the 4th quarter.   Proper game management.

Instead, an interception... they came back to win at the buzzer.   In that instance....starting in the 3rd Q. Three runs and a FG...gives you 20 point lead with about 13 minutes left.  That's worst case scenario...get a 1st down take off 2 more minutes.

You force them to score 3 TDs in a quarter.   They need to rush and if you get one first down yourself, game over.

Years of watching this dumb stuff, I apologize if it annoyed me so much that I really like limiting the opponent's possessions.

Bottom line... I get to a point in the game where I have a 9 point lead and the opponent doesn't get their offense on the field at the end... they can't win.

It's a math equation for me..  40 seconds = one play.  900 seconds in the 4th quarter.  23 plays.  I get a first down...that's 3 of those plays.  Take away plays from the opponent.  They can't win.

Yes,part of your math includes "making first downs". If that happens and it follows that exact plan there are no issues, the issues come when you go 3 and out after running 3 running plays for 2 yards each and nothing is set in stone,so we will just have to disagree. Every plan looks great, until it isn't

They have...if you look at it...they hold the ball for 50 seconds,  incomplete passes... and give the opponent the chance to come back.

Again...the " scoring " is a separate issue.    You have a lead... you hold the ball for 6 minutes miss a FG.   You hold it for 50 seconds...miss the FG...how is the second one better. And how does the time you held the ball change the missed FG?  It doesn't....two separate things. So why rush the offense?  Why rush kicking and punting when you can bring the clock down.   Those plays add up to extra minutes..and possessions for the other team....like plural.

Teams can score 2 TDs in 3 minutes...why give them those extra 3 minutes?

IDK why not stay on the gas and at least get another FG on that possession? Assuming missed kicks and whatever is nice,I can make up any scenario also. Once again the key is keeping the chains moving, everything hinges on that. That will be tougher to do now

Again...agree to disagree and all that nice stuff.   Math doesn't lie... with this part there really isn't anything to disagree with.

Now we could say that it looks like a change in mindset and teams look like they start to choke just trying to kill clock.   That is another discussion.  And I agree with that.  The offense still needs to have the mindset of getting 10 yards on 3 plays...regardless of how they handle the time.

So how do you know at what point your offense starts to choke? math is great if all the stars align, sometimes that doesn't happen. You start the stall too early and you can lose momentum,we've seen that time and time again,so yeah we will jut have to disagree

Doesn’t it always work out like that? Might be because you still have your Noob badge.

How can he post with the power out?? 🤣 He's not dragging the jenny out just to post on here

I wouldn't hate it with the late first rounder....but I would prefer waiting.   Again...it's a luxury to me.  Too many other needs. Rather have the other needs locked up for the extra 5th year.

I prefer that also. As I said, I DON'T have  RB on my mock, yet I can't rule it, out depending on "how things go"  We'll see how it shakes out AFTER WE WIN THE SB 😁

Championship Sunday

running backs will decide winner

Not IMO,IMO defense will(and that includes stopping the RB's on both sides). The other "Thing" is how good the pass pro is. Whichever QB has the most time will win the game. Why the D pass rush is super important this game(not like it isn't every game but this game is the  biggest test for us). if we can win this one I really like our chances vs the AFC teams left(either one). I think this is the "big test" right here, this week. Not that the SB would be easy, but it would sure boost my confidence to take down the 9ers

Stuffing Caff (actually it's more stopping him on pass routes) that we need to do. Mitchell is no slouch either. IDK who covers Kittle, but they have their work cut out for them

You've got to appreciate the honestly. I think he's going to get his this weekend and if not then he will in the SB. At times this year he's been the clear #1 and at others it's been Smith. That's the beauty of this offense.

I think we need him badly this game(and Goedert)

So it appears the earth’s inner core is stopping

They are speculating it may reverse

Seattle signed Geno to 3.5 mil contract this past season. Carroll and their GM stated they intend to resign him. Ian Rapport says if they have to…. they’ll tag him…which will be at 31 mil.

We haven't seen the Eagles lose momentum.

So Cook, you really don’t see how I get ganged up on? How I can have a differing opinion I share? I only feel I really argue is when I’m falsely represented. I feel I’m taking undeserved fire constantly now. You really sure it’s just me starting stuff really? I was just posting about the matchup and news.

Yes, both sides have gone too far by pushing buttons. If you want to end the constant bickering, concede they have a good point. Or don’t say anything about it. You don’t HAVE to argue your point or be right or get credit for EVERYTHING. Who cares?
I think people in general get tired of you beating a dead horse about YOUR point. At some point you gotta let it go. That’s the suggestion I would make. I do think others would not attack you if you would VALUE other’s point and not LABOR your point so profoundly. Up to you though. It is a free country. I love the Eagles and the Eagles’ community. I think it is sad that so many lash out at each other. Life is short. Lost a friend (Eagles’ fan too) last month to brain cancer…55. Enjoy the good fortune of a shared interest. Respect each other’s point of view. GO BIRDS!
