Well...technically they changed the rules and the comp picks can be traded now.... I fully expect the Eagles to use 2024 picks as trade assets this upcoming draft.

Forget that tactic.

You can't trade what you don't possess.

Comp picks are assigned based upon numerous.factors, such as overall net gain/loss of FAs in the offseason leading up to the 2024 draft, contract values, etc. in determining number and round to be awarded.

Therefore, you won't be able to trade those pick(s) until 2024.

https://overthecap.com/compensatory-picks-can-now-be-traded-what-impact-could-that-have Hasn't been decided yet(although we would have none for this draft other teams could) Depends when they award them. Would be useful if they decide to award them a month earlier. I suppose they will decide at the league meeting. At least that's how I am reading this

I was really thinking KC was in trouble when Mahomes suffered the high ankle sprain…but seeing his press conference…he walked away from the podium with no real issue.

I'm wondering A) How good is he? B) Or what's he on for pain?

I was really surprised when he came back in for the 2nd half. The angle at which he came down with his leg/knee I thought for sure he at the least sprained his LCL. I guess we'll find out just how well he is on Sunday.

LOTS of things and players will decide the winner. I believe the offensive and defensively lines will decide the winner of this game MORE than anything else.

I think the QBs will be a big factor too.  Purdy looks legit... but Sunday will be a different environment for him.

This should be Hurts toughest test since Tampa last year... could argue even tougher.

But in both cases, the QBs have stud supporting casts... so which one uses them better, avoids mistakes and maybe makes a big play or two themselves should play a huge factor in the outcome.

Correct... but there have been deals made the last couple of drafts with the comp picks being a factor.

Ie.   The " conditional" pick.    Some of those trades have ended up being comp picks.

Example...Eagles trade a conditional 4th round pick in 2024 as part of a package... it could be where the trade ends up being one of the comp picks, instead of our " normal" 4th rounder.

Also... knowing the comp picks are coming... I'm sure would be a factor in using one of our own picks if necessary...plus we have the Saints 2nd rounder.

Idk about you...but I doubt we don't pick in rounds 4-6 this year... as a spot is on the board... we will probably have to use a 2024 pick somehow to get it.

Btw..all those factors you mentioned...will be known by this year's draft.   The small X factors will be playing time and any awards etc.  But salary and net  gain/ loss of qualified free agents, will be known.

It won't be official...but we all know they have it pretty much figured out almost exact by that point.

A month ago while I still had the cast on my left foot after arch reconstruction, I hopped down the stairs and went full weight completely sideways on my right ankle and still can't walk quite correctly. Had to get out my old carpenters knees to get around, that and on my butt. Then again knew a girl who could turn her ankle nearly 180. When Mahomes came back in that game just figured it wasn't as bad as it looked.

Blankenship's been good, he's not Maddox

Blankenship I’m not quite sure what roles he can even fill. Had CGJ moving to Nickel and back to S. FS type roles it seems is where he’s been utilized so far.

If healthy 2017 Wentz was the QB, I'd really like our chances this week.  But Jalen's done a good job.  I just think the run ends here.  Like last year when out college style offense faced a good defense.  We might see Minshew in the 2nd half.

AJ Brown changed a few things... less of a college style offense this year.   Much easier to shut down an offense without a threat on the outside... I can't see SF single covering our WRs like Tampa did last year.   AJ can get off of press coverage.

But I do expect some similar strategy that Tampa used.... but I've been expecting that for 18 games and haven't seen it yet... so who knows?

Flip the other side of the ball, our defense should hold their own compared to last year.

To me this one is 50-50... probably 51 for the Eagles... last year there was no shot.

Seemed last week Blankenship was the S in the nickel..with CGJ moving to the slot CB.

I assume the idea would be for Maddox to take the slot and put CGJ back to S.   Just use Blankenship in the dime?

Although, they may have a specific plan for Kittle? I can see moving CGJ on him with Blankenship back at S.

Moved to Dunn from FL (WHY???? lol). Any Eagles nest bars around here??? Nothing in Dunn that's for sure. The 'ol nest in FL will have 400 people there

The ONLY roll for a true Philly cheesteak - Amaroso! There ovens mist water on the rolls as they bake. Try mimicking it at home, gets close. Also has to be shaved ribeye, partially freeze it then put it on the slicer. I'm also no whiz - provy and sauce

The conversation about cheesteaks really shows the fanbase is more than just the local area.  Got my son a cheesteak from Slacks last night... delicious. I guess we take for granted you can get one anywhere around here.

Hell if I know.  Dunn?  Damn.  Do you work at Campbell or something?  I haven’t seen or heard of any bars around.  There is a spot here in Clayton that is owned by a Philly fan and has amoroso rolls.  I have his steak sandwiches a few times.  Good, just not enough meat for the roll and the price.   All the food there has been decent.  Just skimpy and pricey.   I have bought just the rolls from them and made the steak sammies at home.

LOL no I am retired, but I saw we are near neighbors,so thought there was a birds hangout someplace. FL had a bunch of them, really fun on game days. One place(Fort Myers,FL) the owner would pour a peppermint schnapps shot in your mouth with every Eagles TD. Terrific food too(typical bar/grill menu). Been in Dunn for 3 years in March, but they roll up the sidewalks here at 8 PM,no fun here at all

FWIW- Frank Reich played his first 3 games for the newly formed Panthers in 1995. Now he is "back home" lol

I seriously don't know if I have ever had an amoroso roll. I have lived a sheltered life apparently. The ones here come on toasted Chiabata

Fort Myers,FL where I moved from had 4 HUGE nests. Sundays were packed with ALL Eagles fans,it was a blast! All had different types of food,so you could pick and choose. Cheesesteaks with fresh mango Daquiris right on the water was my usual go to. Some had fresh grouper sammys and world beers on tap(not the crap kind)

Just got back from PT

Amoroso's have a crispy outside but a really nice texture inside.

Mmmmm - like anything mango
