Mahomes

If Mahomes wants to survive, he's going to have to get rid of the ball super fast. He thought he had probs w/ da boyz pass rush?

I think some guys with the mentality of " Andy Reid is so smart, and Gannon is so dumb"  might be disappointed after this game.  I think if anything, we will see why Mahomes is the MVP.     Even with that, we should win the game as long as Hurts plays decent.  If anything, i thought he might have been exposed.  But good thing is our OL makes it hard for opponents to expose much.

Hurts was exposed of still being injured. About it.

Im not fearful of anything getting " exposed "   we have the best pass rush and 3 pro bowl DBs.   If any player thinks they can " expose" that...then what about the other 30 teams?

I'm sure SF had a plan.  Everyone does until they get hit in the mouth.

But hilarious with the MVP and the best QB in football the idea of " exposing" something is what appears.

Can't be simple idea of players just being better?  Needs to be scheme?

It's funny how all time great QBs " expose " things though...who knew?

Aiyuk didnt sound like he was bragging about players being better. Like you say, three Pro Bowl DBs. So you wouldn’t think it’s a missing or weak personnel issue. Almost has to be scheme based hole Niners had identified and were planning to attack. Or as Aiyuk put it expose.

Mahomes

SF pass rush got to Mahomes a few times,we're going to get to him ALOT more times. I hope he wears new cleats because we're going to make him run the soles off them

EVERYONE HAS a PLAN 'TILL THEY GET PUNCHED IN THE MOUTH MIKE TYSON ...

Aiyuk....football genius.

Shannahan most think is an offensive genius. None of this talk is believed to be Aiyuk own plan. He was in the room while top O minds explained the weakness of Gannon scheme however.

  • Haason Reddick (91.8)
  • Javon Hargrave (91.1)
  • Brandon Graham (81.9)
  • Fletcher Cox (78.2)
  • Linval Joseph (76.3)
  • Ndamukong Suh (76.3)
  • Robert Quinn (73.7)

That’s seven individual defensive linemen finishing with grades of 70.0 or higher. It’s unprecedented and frankly unbelievable that the Eagles defensive line is this dominant.                            Here's the line that sticks out for me

Question.   If you say we are " a man down with a 5 man line"

Obviously the SF plan was to keep the extra TE to block...  then how are we a man down?

Isn't it just 6 covering 4 instead of 7 covering 5?   That's actually more of an advantage for the D Isn't it?

That would work towards Niners advantage. Least amount in pass coverage versus Kelce, Deebo, Aiyuk with McCaffrey coming out if the backfield. Niners don’t have endless receiving options. The guys they have are tough. So nope, not more advantage to the D to have less guys in coverage. Get second level thinking beyond coverage and visualize tackling…even more disadvantage.

Except late in the season, no team has been able to "expose" Gannons D even if they have it figured out LOL. Even if they figured it out, they can't execute it SF-"We're gonna effing gut these guys" and we DID. KC D isn't even as good as SF was

Blaneknship, what a pleasant surprise he is. Going from undrafted to a SB his first year. Gotta feel good about him and for him. If I was the KC DE,I would try not to tick off Mailata. If you do, expect to be tossed in the air 5 yards

Kansas City Chiefs’ offensive line now:

Position/Player PFF pass block grade/Rank
Left tackle: Orlando Brown Jr. 76.6/30th
Left guard: Joe Thuney 89.7/1st
Center: Creed Humphrey 81.3/4th
Right guard: Trey Smith 69.7/37th
Right tackle: Andrew Wylie 61.3/90th

Wonder how much of this is based on Mahomes still struggling to read D? Mahomes likes to break the pocket. How often you see him just stand tall in there? He rolls out…a bunch. Makes things difficult on any T.

So,I have been doing alot of research. LOTS of linemen in this draft. I have my mock, but I could easily see Howie trading back the 10 pick for added draft ammo. It depends(for me) how much difference there is between pick 10 and a later choice. Only the Eagles would know what they will do. Some good picks in the Senior bowl that are promising. It would take a nice deal for me to pass up a top guy,but a "close to the top" with an extra pick may work for Howie. I think my default team Carolina moves up to pick 1 and gets their franchise QB. With the hiring they have done on the staff, this would make sense. A top QB, add a WR and a decent TE and let them grow together much as they are doing in Chi town

Cowboys put up a forty burger on Gannon. Exposed is a good way to explain that.

Where will he run to? Our edge guys are tough, then you also need to contend with Suh,Joseph and Davis. Plus we don't know how "bum" his injury still is. I suspect he will avoid running if he can. Our job is to get him running

Maybe Bears trade them Fields

Anyone out that game? 3 turnovers didn't help them?

Strange how you skipped our two best inside Dline in Hargrave and Cox.

Nothing wrong with Fields, they need to build a team around him. Changing QB's means you still have to build a team around him, seems like a wasted move to me

So 5 guys and Mahomes is going to run free in the backfield?

Dak threw for over 350 and 3 TDs. Prescott…yeah…him.
