They played on different teams, how would you know who is better based on bench sitting? He has experience, would come cheap,he's a big receiver and the fact the Gnats didn't use him has no bearing on if we would. We need to cut corners this time and I think (no matter what you say) he is better than Pascal. We didn't use him or Ward either so what is your point???

They gave him a huge contract…then didn’t use him. Totally different

2 people died as far as what I read or did you miss that part? Yeah he posted bail and is back at the combine, but this raises character issues,so I still think it will take him down the list some. Guess we'll know soon enough

He wasn’t driving that car

Big time NFL pay check coming. Carter getting a top notch lawyer. Bet on that

He’s charged with reckless driving

Something HR said was we need more than 1 RB. Know we have a few on futures etc, think we pick one or 2 up tho

I wanted to stack that deck. Dominate and rely on our rushing attack. Have two top guys at RB.

Plus our QB1

But then if our top Rb goes down we don’t have to change up the approach

Too much blocking guys though for my taste. Stoll played half the snaps. Pascal played plenty.

Now imagine that TE from Notre Dame taking those snaps.  You get the blocking plus the weapon in the pass game.

The label of TE? Vs the label of slot WR?

Game is changing we are seeing those "hybrids" When I played it was back before the Gonzo era. Most TE's are just huge WR's now,or alot are,and they are getting faster. Everyone used to be enamored over speed. That's a great attribute but not the only 1. Those that are "speed nuts" think they are indefensible simply because they are fast, and we/ I know thats not true.."Oh he ran a 4.25 40. That's terrific, but does anyone test if they can do that 30 snaps a game?. So or course I look at speed, but for me that is just a starting point. What else can you do?? And why the Reagor pick was stupid, they didn't look beyond his speed. Gronk and Hernandez was an awesome tandem while it lasted, but Gronk was also awesome all alone,so IDK.I suppose it's whatever you want. Higgins(my 7 pick) may give you the same benefits, albeit he may not be a "star" on his own. So I will let the scouting dept and Howie do their jobs. Just get me good players. I will put up my mocks which are totally opinion based. This year is especially tough and as always, nobody has a clue what is on Howies mind

That's his fault? If I offered you 5 grand to take my trash out I suspect you'd take that, even if I put it out myself. And if you sit here and tell me his career isn't better than Pascal you have no credibility. We need to find CHEAP players who can still perform as BU's. Golladay fits that. Like them he won't play much unless someone gets hurt, but he can play better at BU than Ward or Pascal,so if I can lose 2 and get 1 better than either and save money doing it,why wouldn't you do it???? I merely said I would TAKE A LOOK. Does that mean I am screaming for a hire? No it means we should TAKE A LOOK.Funds are limited,so we need to nail draft picks AND off season players. Actually besides Pascal and Ward we could let Quez walk also,so it could be a 3 for 1. There I improved the WR room, saved some money(maybe even another FA WR) or another positional BU/player of need . I don't see why it was important for you to call me out when it's fairly plain a 3 for 1 and saving money is the route to go this year. Golliday will get BU pay,but we know he can step in and play better than ward, pascal  if AJ went down,so on a cheap deal I would be fine adding him and his experience to the room. You can disagree all you want. I would trust him to perform better over Ward and Pascal. Maybe you wouldn't.That;s fine but doesn't alter my position. So,Ham tell me which CHEAP BU WR are you looking at in FA?

LOL he could actually be an accessory if they wanted to press that. They were racing each other and people died as a result and this isn't his first Boo boo. Raises character issues. We'll see how it goes, but this isn't a good thing for him. He seems not to care people died either. That should be concerning

Why would be need a lawyer if he did nothing wrong? You stated he wasn't even charged(oh you bet your bippy he was lol)

Not sold on him so much

Of course, you never are with anyone I pick lol. But remember he wouldn't cost us a first either

He's making himself look like an entitled little child.

That alone is gonna raise a red flag with many GMs whether it's true or not.

Suspect Scott returns,we have Gains who played well. I like Spears in round 3 and my sleeper kid Brooks as a UDFA. I would look at Fournette. Think he would be fine in the RBBC if he comes cheap enough. Not alot of gas left there, but he would be in rotation here which helps out "old men" That allows Spears to get his footing sitting a year(or used a little). Fournette can bang. Did the league vote yet on banning the "tush push"? If so we could use a banger in short yardage

Don't tell Ham,he is the next GOD. But yeah I saw no remorse whatsoever with him. I'm sure he is a great player, but with a crap attitude I will let some other team have him. He was supposed to go top 5. Anyone taking him there is accepting alot of risk. I wouldn't do it personally. But don't ask Ham because I have been a clueless know nothing hater since I have been on this board 🤣

McDonald(edge) moved up my board quite a bit. Sadly he falls into that gray void we have between 30 and 62,although I wouldn't be mad with a 30 pick there because it seems he has alot of ceiling yet. But I also like Kancey at 30. He can play inside or be used outside as an edge rusher. I love that versatility(and he is a homer too-Pitt). My thoughts are to move back from both 10 and 30 for more picks. if we can move back a bit and take Ham and Joe's(sounds like coffee and a sammich 🤣) TE,I would do that. I still want a ROT and if we aren't doing that with pick 1,then I like the guy from Tennessee who protected Hooker on his Heisman run before he got hurt. I also wouldn't be mad if we took Hooker at 30. he plays just like Hurts.

Sure...I'll take Edlemen, Welker or Antonio Brown in the slot, just like how Gronk had it.    The main point,  the 4th option in the passing game needs to have impact... stats are part of it, but it's the matchup too.

Or we can spend a later pic on an Edelman/Welker. Just depends if you think Mayer is worth that round 1 pick. There is no wrong answer just a matter of opinion. Higgins has similar traits to Pitts. Not the same caliber(as of now),but he's around in round 7,so you just have to weigh the amount of impact. Njgiba would be a great pick. Would he make an impact in a slot role? You bet. So just depends what you are after. I will rely on the offensive staff to make that call

https://www.profootballnetwork.com/kayshon-boutte-wr-lsu-nfl-draft-scouting-report-2023/  Case in point. This kid will be a star somewhere and we could probably get him at 30(IDK he may go alot higher but thats where he is ranked right now). Those LSU WR's can play in or out (see JJ),so if we're talking about Mayer, then you can talk about this kid as well

Love this kid and as you can see he can strike from the X,Y, or Z. He's 205 so not slight.I can't emphasize enough how complete and NFL ready the WR's are from OSU and LSU. If he is around at 30 I would not hesitate. I know we need other things, but this kid will be a good one. Lose Quez,Ward,Pascal(or keep 1 on the cheap if you want) but this would give us the best tri-tandem in the NFL. Add Goedert and one of those will always be open. So I understand the Mayer pick if we went there, but I can't overlook this kid especially since he won't be our highest 1 pick. He is also an excellent and willing blocker. So Mayer at 10 or this kid at 30? Your call

I wasn't actually even considering a WR this draft, but since TE was brought up,I would go with Boutee all day if I had my choice
