Agreed,I would have to trust the staff to make that call. If' 2 TE's makes the Matchup impossible due to BOTH being offensive stat weapons,I'm all for that. Quez is probably gone,so I would be ok with Mayer and an additional slot guy to give us a variety of plays

Mayer, Goedert, AJ, Smith and Fournette would be a nice package.

Exactly. 31st pick. 30th player selected. Paid as 31 st pick. Goodell will announce pick 31. I don’t want to go on and on about this. Clearly I feel I’m correct. Just was weak to have somebody try and correct me when their inaccurate.

Better recheck your "accuracy"

And a speed slot so we could have a load of different looks. I would be ok with that, but I'm not taking Mayer just to block

Good Oline could create huge plays with a playmaker. You want a 30 yard gain or 6?

I like a bunch of 6 yard gains....it sets up my passing game.  One lucky 30 yard run isn't going to change much on the defense.  The constant 6 yards is a problem though.

And Gains was playing well late. I would bring Scott back cheap if he wanted to stay.

I think Fournette fits perfect with what we do.I'm sure we would use him less than TB had to,so should add a little to his career. At 29 he may have 2 years left and we showed we can contend,so it's a matter of what he wants pay wise

Still waiting to hear yours,as always no answer

I’ll get there for you

Doesn’t look good. I’d hope he at least helped out before leaving. But let’s say you run into a tree….drunk. Would you stay? Or get out of there to avoid the DUI. Can’t prove drunkenness the next day. DUI? Or no ticket?

But you can check on your teammate and coach...what if that would have saved their lives?

And what if he got a DUI?   It's not the same as a normal person.  One of his entourage can drive...give Turtle something to do.

What if RB is the BPA?

I clearly stated…not taking a RB. Geez dude

If we draft Mayer it may be a moot point anyhow

OH but TE is ok? It's BPA or it's not LOL. We need RB more than TE? There are no other TE's?

Right...will be the 30th player taken.

Right... isn't Mayer the stud receiver? That's what I've seen.

C’mon FL read my post then respond. You try and correct me on the pick number….why would you even do that? Kind of just argumentative and ****. Which you’re only point was to correct me….and you were wrong. Then I stated exactly NOT TAKING A RB. Then you respond with….what about a RB. C’mon man. Step up your game here a little. I’m not going to argue for thirty pages about our pick number 31 that will be the 30th player taken either.

There is no Miami pick with a VOID next to it,there are 31 picks in round 1. Pick 30 will be the 30th player. If there was the maimi pick with a VOID,ham would be right, but it was REMOVED

So him or a Stud WR? You can make a case either way

Right... my whole point was if we get him that the offense goes similar to New England with Gronk and Hernandez where the 2 TE set is the primary formation.

In reality offenses have that flexible 5th option... 2 WR, TE and RB... the 5th spot usually gets the mix of the slot WR,  2nd TE, possible FB.

We get Mayer... that makes us go 2 TEs,without question.

Which we did half the time last year. Plus easily can have one if the TE play the slot WR role in the playbook some.

But as I said I saw no WR's literally make me jump out of my seat,so maybe Mayer is the way to go

We don't pick at 31,we pick at 30,this is hard to understand???? Pick 30 is the 30th player taken because there is NO MIAMI PICK with a VOID next to it

And even if you were right(which you aren't)pick 31 would still be the 30th player taken?

He looks to me to be pretty sure fire pick. High floor and high ceiling type player. I targeted top ten last year with the trade. But now we see the draft board specifically…looking like top 9 actually. We’ll see how it unfolds. See how Rosie has his board also. Maybe two CBs prove worthy of top ten. That would be best scenario I’m seeing. But will Rosie finally value DBs? He had to notice the success having them last year showed. Need a ton of DBs in todays game.

So BPA is not BPA unless you say so. the RB and TE are clearly BOTH the top picks at their positions, the fact you "don't want a RB" doesn't make him less a top pick

I agree with Ham here.  You are fixated on the position labels.   To me the 4th passing weapon is a hole more than RB.   Forget hole... impact wise the 4th weapon changes things more.   The rushing will come due to the blocking not the guy carrying the ball.  The modern game is built around the passing game.  Run game still important but that is built on blocking not the RB.

Case in point Eagles 2021... top rushing team splitting up carries with a few decent RBs.

Would be great if we could trade back and still get Mayer;. IDK if that is possible. I didn't see him at the combine, but I stopped watching after a short time

Right that's your opinion,it doesn't lessen the fact the RB is the top at his position. he could be the BPA,doesn't mean we have to take him
