And again...no issue drafting the rookie future RT... he just isn't starting this year.

Right... so if we can play 17 games vs a DL that slips...we can trade Lane.  I'm guessing that won't happen though.

Have Driscoll. Would need to draft a stud RT I’d think. Probably need to do that anyway though.

Yes team game....Our DBs couldn't cover scrub WRs..because our DL didn't dominate... yet did ok vs stud WRs.

Certainly it wasn't the DL that benefitted from our DBs doing a better job of covering the studs vs the scrubs?

The answer is neither did their job. Can’t say the Secondary rocked….can’t say the Dline rocked. Both struggling at the same time is disaster. What I’m saying. Need one to help the other.

So again... I'm asking now. I know you wanted to sign him week 3.

You bring it up because you want to make Howie look bad.

Now you bring up all the negative stuff this last week when it looks like we are going to have a shot at signing him for cheaper price..  like trying to downplay Howie not giving up the money right away.

Similar to pointing out a false start rather than a fumble giving the other team a free TD.

It's ok to give Howie credit every so often... it's ok to say Hurts made the worst mistake a player can make.   Nobody has to be all good or all bad.

Except it wouldn't clear cap space... and not going to get you 1st round pick... which means a pick around 60 if it's a contender.

I would think he could bring back a second and future third. But yes…would clear cap space. Just not this year immediately. But if you look ahead….tons of free money. That future cap is what Rosie uses to bring in guys.

But ask Hurts...tell him you want to trade Lane...what you think he says?

What will he be thinking in 2025 and beyond about it?

At 10 he would. But Driscoll already in position.

What was the success rate of Hurts QB sneak on short yardage? Unbelievable! So we get the first down. Pushed back…Hurts has pressure to make a play. Doesn’t happen without the false start. Maybe doesn’t happen if the Chiefs O wasn’t so dominant also.

Yes... need the DL to help the DBs...that is the point.

Obviously the easier matchup for the DBs was KC and New England WRs.  They should have been able to help our DL but didn't.

The same DBs didn't dominate the stud WRs in order to help the DL.  Obviously it would have been easier for them to help when they had easier guys to cover.

Our DL couldn't help those 2 games and our secondary got dominated by scrubs.

But not really though... and again...why not give your favorite all time player the best... he deserves it right?

Again... no excuse for dude to give ball away.  Stop making it for him.  He knows he f@#ed up.  It's ok.

I brought up the good and bad with CGJ. Why I capped out at 13 with him. That’s a good amount of money for a S. So obviously I think he’s good. But character is a concern. He isn’t a leader. Tackling has been an issue. Saw Bradberry jump at wanting to be here. Took less to want to stay. Better character guy also. Slay quickly threw his teammate under the bus. I liked how Bradberry owned up to the hold. Biggest spotlight ever. Crushing penalty. But he manned up. Guys that are stronger character and better leaders are worth more. Wanting to be an Eagles is fairly crucial also. Pride! Ceedy Duce doesn’t have that. So kind of sucks to have much of that around the locker room.  Not sure if football is his priority either. So what happens when he cashes in on this huge payday?

Feels like CGJ going to not be happy with getting some that pay either. Seemingly going to gripe and pout. Easily see him creating problems in two years holding out.

Why can't it just be a simple yes or no?  It's like you are afraid to commit so you can say " I called it" either way.

It's ok ..nobody keeps score.

Long road for Hurts here. Tomorrow Lane is what’s best. But I don’t see that lasting too long. Age maybe catching up on him. Fear he gets injured again this year. He body might be just breaking down. Happens to them all.

I’ve said since pretty much two weeks after we traded for him to sign him for 13 mil. Said it and explained my whole viewpoint on the player after season. 13 mil. Like the interceptions. But the fundamental S job he is lacking some. Pointed to his character. Pointed to he isn’t a leader.

I know he wants to get paid. But it’s a bad look here. We offered. Seemingly two different times to keep him

As far as CGJ... what I think happens now... he won't sign a 5 year deal.

He will look either 1 or 3 year deal. I think that's the thing that is being considered now.

I think Eagles want the long term deal..and said come back to us with your best offer.   He probably hasn't gotten what he wants on the average or guaranteed side... and doesn't want that average for the long term.

Howie then probably not looking to go as high shorter term..  or just staying patient.  I mean he also has the leverage of getting the comp pick.

So I’m starting to question now. Feels like he doesn’t care about playing here. Go wherever the money is. He keeps lashing out saying kind of dumb stuff on social media. Then deleted.

Right....draft the guy and bring him along...this way the play at RT takes as little a dip as possible.  Plus...this is supposed to be a run it back year...makes no sense to get rid of Lane.

Idk why you take it as anything against the Eagles.  It's obvious he isn't getting the offers from around the league. If it's because of anything against the Eagles or Philly...he would already be gone.

So I’m hesitant to bring a guy back that isn’t about being an Eagles. Especially when we just went to the big game. Not greatest for the chemistry. Hesitant to have such a high paid player on the team not care about the team. Worrisome from his latest tweet that he’s going to be bitter about getting all that money…feeling he’s underpaid.

It was reported... Eagles told both CGJ and Bradberry to get their offers and come back.  Basically means they would look to match.

Bradberry was happy to take less to stay..because he was happy with the number.

CGJ obviously didn't get the amount from anyone outside yet...or if he wanted he would be gone.

Obviously he wants to play here, just afraid to sign for too low and too long term.

Totally. But he’s going to be a hold out and a problem after two years. See that coming all day
