Every yr is just as confusing as any other. Draft's coming up, we all want "pipelines" at almost every position - which is impossible. Knowing HR we go lines, it's a proven way for success. Hurts had the 2nd most touches by defenders, mostly due to the type of QB he is, so glad we got Mariota. He's gonna need help, whether that comes w/ improved OL or more quick outlets we'll see. Would like to see another TE

Lane has said he wants to plar a few more years. Leads me to believe they won't go OL in the 1st.

I'm thinking CB or edge rusher now but DT has to be high on the priority list

They have 2 picks at the moment... there is absolutely a need get some young OL in here..we have Kelce at C as well.    And Driscoll is on his last year as our 6th man.

Now saying that,  I always had OL behind DL.   But the Eagles will target a player they like, so if it's OL better than DL, I'm sure they will take that guy.

I would be surprised if they didn't take at least one DL though... if they select twice in round 1.  To me that's almost a given.. or as close as you can get to one when it comes to the draft.

I'd be a little surprised if they go CB early... I realize the age of our 2 CBs...  but they prioritize the lines.... idk if I can see that changing this year.

As always it depends on who is available. Lane and Kelce are both old but Jurgens i think is Kelces replacement.. I'd like to see a DT but i don't wanna see them reaching.

I'd be surprised if they go lineman with both 1st round picks but them i'm usually wrong

Right....they will need to replace Jurgens at RG once he moves to C...and also get a replacement for Driscoll.

If I had to guess... I'd wager 2 linemen.. just the question of 2 DL or 1 of each.   I can see them taking a WR ... other than that I personally would be very surprised if they went RB,LB or DB... that's why I got receiving weapon or lineman in round 1.

Every year we have DB or LB as a need... Every year they pass round 1.  Every year I seem to point this out and someone says " this year it will be different "    ... and it's true, it absolutely could be.  But I'll go line or WR until that actually happens.     I'm rooting for it, just because I think we know if they go DB, LB or RB...we know without a shadow of a doubt that they had that player ranked at the top of their board when they were on the clock.

Yeah mostly linemen they have had in,they did bring in the texas RB,but that could be for a smoke and mirror move later. All we need to do it threaten to take him and the trade offers will come in,so I think that's why we brought him in. I mean even if you moved back 1,2,3 spots you'd still get your guy and another pick. No WR's brought in yet,but Njigba would be awesome for us,but I doubt we could trade back and still get him. Branch is the best safety. Not really a stellar class. 30 is close enough to round 2 Howie could do that. The line draft is very deep,so whomever they like which we are not privvy to. Still good linemen in rounds 2 and 3. Still think Howie could pull a deal using a pick next year as bait since we will have some comp picks. Like everyone on here I have no clue who goes first,it's a nice spot we are in. We will get  good player regardless of the position taken and the 30 pick should be a nice pick also. Some of these edge guys have also played LB. The game is changing and there are alot of hybrid players in this draft early. Having had both OSU OT's in  kind of tells me they are looking at that. 1 is a top pick, the other would be a "plan B" if they other was not available. But like I said I'm a bit surprised they have brought in so few of the 30 allotted

I don't really pay attention to who they bring in...they had a chance to interview guys at the combine.  They may bring in the OSU OTs to ask about their WR?  Who knows?    We got a long month coming

Yeah but you can work them out and do interviews. It's a bit more refined and you can focus in 2-3 guys instead of 40

They may also have already decided a " yes" on some guys to where they don't feel they need to bring them in.   Idk, too much detail to worry about.  Still a month to go.  A lot can still change.

I think I heard before that a lot of these interviews are about the future and not about this draft. So it’s teams kind of looking up when that player may one day hit the market.

Nah,they will see that after they have played and have a body of work. May be better or worse in 4 years

The guys they brought in correlate with the draft spots we have which makes sense. I'm wondering now if there will be a trade made and maybe thats why not so many have come in.And if the trade is offered they can make the call of "the guy we brought in is worth more to us than the trade". I'm sure they asked about Njigba. Maybe asked about Sermon also lol

I agree. Looking NFL ready in college doesn't always translate to NFL ready.

And if you don't draft them they are somewhere else for 4 years

I'll write em a check for 6.1 Billion

Chump change . I can put in $3.95 as long as you change the name and logo back. I could write one for 6.3,but I would be dead before it stopped bouncing 🤣

So they like Sermon. Nice to know. That was holding me up. Now I can basically skip that on my mocks. I still like my DITR Chris Brooks as a UDFA,but appears to me RB is off the board unless the top RB falls to 30

OK mock(with explanations) 1-10-Paris Johnson-OT-OSU(he played RG until 2022 when he moved to RT) which is perfect for us. He can play RG right now and take over for Lane later at RT. If lane goes down he can cover RT and Jurgens can slide in at RG(he will be fine and probably take over at C next year)  1-20 something-Lucas Van Ness-edge-Iowa. This would require a move up from 30 into the 20's. We can try and trade the 30 and a pick next year to make the move(in theory)  2-62-Gervon Dexter-DT-FL  3-94-JiAyr Brown-S- Penn  7-218-DTR-QB-Ucla 7-248-pick whoever you want maybe a slot WR here to compete with Quez??? I'm going with Tre Tucker-WR-cincy This seems like a 100% "what Howie would do" mock. UDFA-Chris Brooks-RB-BYU  Brenton Strange-TE-Penn

That was a good little statement Siri made about Sermon.

He stated how Niners were hoping to slide him to their PS. So they snagged him. Giving a bit of a vote of confidence in him….stating how he observed him making plays in practice some. Needed to give some kind of reasoning for keeping a fourth string RB on the active roster all year with no usage.
