So my point is Rosie has strengths. Really good at negotiating. Really good at realizing how important the accountants and analytics play a role. I believe he got Lurie on board to really invest in these departments more than most. Think he trend set that area a bit even.

Who would you pick

I keep pointing out how the cap hits are being setup as an issue from Rosie. Because most GM can’t afford to be patient or do what’s best long term. So comparing him to shorter leash lesser in power GMs isn’t fair. Having more security afforded him the opportunity to get things squared away with the cap better. Could have cleared the cap more. Not sure why it isn’t glaringly obvious how paying for Brooks still now while we are trying to make our Championship run is considered wise? I’m not totally against pushing things towards the future and backloading are some point. I think you do that after you’ve cleared the cap and established a younger core team you can build on to run with for years.

Who does it better?

Rosie blew his job so terribly in 2019 and 2020. He made terrible decisions. Was loading up money on future cap just to do what? Try and make the playoffs? So now we are dealing with 2019 and 2020 paying for that crap. Easy to see how dumb this is. We are a contending team saddled with Brooks and others money. Seems easy to understand how much easier and dominant a team and contending window we’d be in right now.

UH we don't have a younger core we can build on? We said 3 years ago we wanted to get younger. We did except for a few guys we had to go "all in" for to make the SB run. So now it's a new year. Don't we have young core players in place?

We went to the SB last year??? We will contend THIS year? Is there some reason we won't? I'm lost here (no surprise)

It’s like some want to make Rosie out for being superhuman for being able to sign some of these players last year and this. But those same fans are trying to ignore how Rosie self created the difficulties in many ways. 54 mil in dead money this season. Why is our team saddled with this? How do you explain Rosie as the top GM when he’s got this unbelievable opportunity to have something resembling a dynasty. He did the good. But also the bad. New coach and QB. Rosie gets tons of credit for getting those two. But they just started last season to contend. One year of starting the Championship Window and the team already saddled with so much future grief along with the past baggage.

Consider if you didn’t have this squad saddled with 54 mil dead money.

Old guys left. Kelce,Lane,Cox,we didn't get anyone in to replace them? Maybe add Slay in there. ,Everyone else is fairly young now? I mean you said a 25 year old QB was over the hill so I guess you'll never be happy

I can’t say I’m nearly as knowledgeable of everybody GM nearly the same as Eagles. So not even fair to compare. At least I can step back and see that.

We lost CGJ, Epps, Edwards, Hargrave, Seumalo and Sanders. Could have laughed off losing them if we weren’t saddled with Rosie’s dead money from what he did in 2019.

I am knowledgeable enough to realize the GM jo isn’t to be looked at so short term like the media and awards like to do. Have to do the job well for a year or two to even be in position to have a strong offseason to win the GM of the year award.

But excellent point you highlight No Mas. How many people are familiar with every GM in the league? Don’t think most fans could make more than three. Why is Rosie’s ego so constantly craving the fame?

So then 3 good drafts/ off seasons in a row?

Off-seasons sure we have had some really good off seasons…. Last year getting Bradberry was huge, White at LB played well, CGJ at S, trading for AJ huge stuff for sure.

did anyone in our 22 draft class really even do anything though? I like the picks of Davis, Jurgens , Dean etc. but can we really say they were a good draft before they have performed?

Whoever it takes to win the Lombardi. Same point I keep trying to get across to you. You label my goals too low. But my goal is to win it all! Higher than yours evidently. Not every team is capable. But Hurts has this team in position. We should and did become the contender. But truth is we failed. Came up short. Listen to Hurts. He gets it. Don’t go crazy patting backs about losing. Good season. But easy for me to see how close we really were. We could….I believe should…have won!

Now we’ve switched positions on the bar. 2021 I just wanted that team to make the playoffs. Very good for that group to get there. You complained more about what they lacked. They did lack plenty. But that was the ceiling for that team. Think I even tried to explain to BG how I was seeing things.

Goal is to win the SB. That’s period. Can we all agree there to actually consider any real discussion about the team?

  • Author

So from my stand point of the goal being to win it all. Anything falling short of that is failure. 30 other teams in the same position.

Does Hurts? Or does Howie with the roster he put around him lol. And every year you come talking about the cap hell Howie puts us in and yet every year we manage to get guys we need.

oh the cap hell Howie put us in, go get AJ and extend him, get Bradberry extend him rework slay keep him.

You say this they you cry about the cap situation after 😂….. your points don’t ever. Add up can’t have it both ways.

The eagles really have not had issues getting guys. Could argue last years Roster was the most talented roster we have ever had right in the mix with 2017 and your right we probably could/should have won the SB if not for a terrible call by the ref.

It’s never a good look for a game to be decided by refs instead of the players but it happened.

It's hilarious.... all day a few months ago...pointing out all the things our OL does wrong..  a simple question is which OL would you prefer to have instead....took all day for him to sat the Eagles.

Ham would spend 3 weeks finding things wrong with Ted Williams hitting and Steph Curry's shooting before acknowledging nobody else he would prefer.

Or the fumble by Hurts... or brutal punt coverage..or a false start ...or if the field was legit.

Clearly...the stick needs to be removed from inside the rectum.
