Most think fairly highly of Shew as a top backup also.

I honestly think it was a four win team if Hurts got injured in the PS last year.

I honestly saw that game as mostly Hurts carrying the team. He refuses to come up short. Pushed him into a whole other level of play that game. He delivered. If he was surrounded by so much help how did we not win?

He carried 1 drop in for KC. 7 points,we lost by 3. it's simple math. If Mahomes had dropped 1 and we ran it in we would have won

You say this they you cry about the cap situation after 😂….. your points don’t ever. Add up can’t have it both ways.

The eagles really have not had issues getting guys. Could argue last years Roster was the most talented roster we have ever had right in the mix with 2017 and your right we probably could/should have won the SB if not for a terrible call by the ref.

It’s never a good look for a game to be decided by refs instead of the players but it happened.

So you are flat out denying that the dead cap money from previous years and stacked future money is a factor here?

I don't hate Hurts,he played a terrific game, maybe his best, but the 1 mistake he made he could not overcome. I don't hate him he is human after all LOL. he will fight to get another chance at it and I'm counting on him to do so

I like Shew. But he is not the same type QB as Hurts. We built the team for Hurts and that is not Shews style. I think he will do fine in a system that is suited to his style. Shew was never a run threat like Hurts is,so it was a bit easier for teams to put the clamps on

Oh well I'm going to back off now. We can relive every moment from every year, but all that matters is how this team looks on opening day. Cap won't matter,it's all about the team we put on the field. It may have actually been a good thing we lost because now Hurts will have the drive to get it done. Defeat is a great motivator. He proved his worth,we paid him,now he needs to earn it and I think he will continue to get even better and that is something our opponents don't want to happen. But this team looks just fine to me. I'm ready to RUUUUUMMMMMBLE.

Not my bar. Your bar set too low. You want O stats to be the best. That’s your standard. SB win with a parade. That’s my standard.

So Hurts will fail unless he wins a Superbowl....I like that mindset.   You are getting it now.

If we can relive every moment... I'm going back to when I was a kid....NFC championship at the vet.....Wilbert hits the hole....and Boom....TD.

It actually had to be proven at the end of the season…your answer there….couldn’t win a single game without Hurts.

LMAO if you build a drag racing team, you're not going to win races with an Indy car. The driver won't matter

He needs to win the SB ...or failure.  Ham set the bar.

It's hilarious.... all day a few months ago...pointing out all the things our OL does wrong..  a simple question is which OL would you prefer to have instead....took all day for him to sat the Eagles.

Ham would spend 3 weeks finding things wrong with Ted Williams hitting and Steph Curry's shooting before acknowledging nobody else he would prefer.

That wasn’t my point. My point was that maybe this obsession with spending so highly on the Oline isn’t the best path to go. Giving up sacks and pressure. Stout is the man! Can he get a solid workable line for half the investment?

Or the fumble by Hurts... or brutal punt coverage..or a false start ...or if the field was legit.

Clearly...the stick needs to be removed from inside the rectum.

You defended the crappy P the whole season. You and Cook laughed at FL and I for even thinking the position mattered. Your defense was all he hadn’t screwed up and cost us a game yet. Blame Hurts if we need the P. You use season averages to justify and belittle the job. But then he kicked a low short Punt in the biggest game. Arguably the only real time we needed him to not screw up. He choked. No hang time and short. Not even close enough directionally to pin him to a side. It cost us. You only defense all season was exactly how he screwed up in the SB. Admit it screwed us. Admit it mattered.

But I’m just terrible because I had the foresight to complain about a P when we were 10-0

  • Author

I was always just worried about anything that could keep us from winning it all. How dare I ever have questioned the undefeated team. The negativity of me. I actually cared about what was important. Not going undefeated. Not winning week 3. Winning it all.

When you complain about everything...it's hard not to " call it"

I don’t see it that way. I was the only one being positive two seasons ago.

I saw what Hurts brought. I was almost the only one optimistic about making the playoffs. Some here pretty much were rooting for us to tank instead of fight for the playoff experience against Brady. It was a crucial early step. Helped. Now we got that big game experience. That will help also.

Was very optimistic about this season.

But knew 10-0 wasn’t the goal. Helped towards the one seed. But it always looked like it was coming down to beating the Niners to get to the SB.

  • Author

So sorry if I was always looking ahead. I was nitpicking what I considered a Championship team.

I really feel I’m the positive and negative guy. I can see so many things going on. So Rosie I can applaud the good but critic the bad. All at once.

  • Author

Aren’t you disappointed we didn’t get the Lombardi?

  • Author

You point out the weak schedule stuff. I knew it was going to come down to actually beating the best though.
