Yes we really took our SB winning team and upgraded that each year. 2018 was more talented than 2017. 2019 stocked full of more talent than the previous two years. 2020 was All Pro players at their peak up and down that roster. 2021 we added so many high priced FA. This year we lost more than we gained.

Come on ...let's get back to 10 posts about our OL problems.

Didn’t say we did well I said we bought players…. We can definitely say that Alshon was a bad investment but wasn’t like we didn’t try or paying Djax again bad investment but the attempt was there… just like getting Long back and Bennett went out and got guys to make impact on the DL

Didn’t lack the ability to get guys after 2017 just didn’t get the right guys

I don't really care.  I think it was exactly a phone call that Gannon took from a dude he knew before and talked to all the time.

It's ironic the rules... had Arizona initiated conversations with Gannon prior to the playoffs or whenever the initial deadline is....then the contact wouldn't have violated the rules.   The AZ guy took the job after the deadline... so a call to his friend Gannon in that specific situation was in violation....even if it was.." hey how is the wife doing"

I don't care...I'll take the pick swap.  Worked well for us.

I mean this in the nicest possible way…but you’re an idiot if you think that worked out well for us ….losing the SB with a very talented D that stunk up the game lead by a coach focused more on his next job in Arizona than having our D ready.

You were correct.  Manipulating the cap is different than player selection.

Howie's issues...and Ham's legit complaints are due to poor player selection.

Having the cap space to make a bad player move ... or having cap space to make any move...that's something the Eagles do extremely well.

Compared to a team like Dallas who has to make a much higher percentage of good player decisions because they don't have the cap room to take more swings.

Like the SB champs lost both there starting WRs cut there aging DE didn’t replace him, lost there starting S and downgraded… can definitely say they lost more then they gained also

Ok...it's not unlike you to think everything is a conspiracy....life is a dramatic movie.   Couldn't just be Gannon got outsmarted by Andy Reid and Mahomes made plays?

Seamulo had a false start, Hurts fumbled....your punt....the 5 guys covering the punt missing the tackle.... that was all due to Gannon?

No offense...if I think the idiot might be someone else here.

If we cut the young safety Wallace... it creates $176 k of dead cap space..  but we create over  million of cap space.

The uneducated person looks at it and thinks...well we could have $176 k of cap space to sign guys if there wasn't that dead money.   No....the dead cap is a tool used to create more space.

" but we are still paying guys ...etc"    because paying them up front takes away the cap space right away...and the cap carries forward...so the cap savings by not paying up front creates more cap space going forward... and that can be used to " pay those guys now "

Think about it... the time value of money.  $ 1 in cap space now is worth more than $1 in cap space a few years from now when the cap goes up.  Not a tough concept to see.

So if you pay a guy two years at 20 mil.

Scenario one: year one 10 mil year two 10.
Scenario two: year one 1 mil year two 19 mil.

If you rollover the equal amount in each scenario team cap wise…which choice do you have more cap space the second year and going forward?

Does the rest of the world see it that there was a game plan used with the plays where KC used reverse motion... or was that something that Gannon would have done differently if he didn't go on a Zoom call?

And the fact that all would have been legal....again....legal...If there was an initial contact made a couple weeks earlier.

Reading articles that explain the rules is helpful....listening to gossip man Marcus Hayes doesn't make one smarter.

Cards called Gannon he admits. If that’s all it was even. Then goes to Arizona for the game. Gannon completely does terrible job. But you believe no fire where all this smoke is filling the sky.

Neither.... 2 year deals are awful tool for cap space.  2 numbers add to the total...don't effect anything.

It's why you don't see us do those deals.   Bring up a legit realistic example and we can discuss...show me a 4 or 5 year deal.

This is a very black and white mind set..

Go scenario 1- 10m even split you have less cap year one and year two you have more

but if you go option 2- lesser cap year 1 higher year two and the cap increases like it always does you could still have more cap year 1 and more cpa year 2 even paying the player more money in the 2nd year

They had drafted WR second round last draft ready to play this year. Added Valdes Scalding.

Let me ask.. and be honest.   Did you see anything unexpected from Gannon?  What was your opinion going into the game?

For me....I think our pass rush and overall roster made him look good as a DC.   With the slippery field...and going against Mahomes..  were you really surprised?

It’s like looking at Hurts deal are we better off paying him 51m every year or paying him low now and when his contract starts to get up to 30-40m and the cap has increased 4 times…. Also sets us up for a rework

Like us drafting a LB last year and adding Swift

Also added a Lb as well can say well he is a downgrade to Edwards I’d say scalding is a downgrade to Juju

At this time last year...we had less cap space....didn't have Bradberry, CGJ,  or any of the DL pickups.

The roster isn't done.  Stop comparing a finished product....which by the way...part of the loss was CGJ.... so let me ask...

From one year ago today to now....did the safety room really get downgraded?

Apples to apples when comparing.

The RB room lost Sanders....gained Sermon,  Penny and Swift

Tell me a year ago anyone would prefer to have just Sanders over these 3?

A year ago..  if we added Edmonds, Evans and Brown to the safety room on May 3rd..   would that be considered a downgrade?

Right now I do see Seamulo as a loss.  Good thing is we have time to see how it plays out.

Seems to me you are making exactly the point of it effecting ability to pick up players. Didn’t get the right guys because they cost more. Had to settle for the over the hill Malik, DJax….

Don’t think we settled at all think we chose people tend to forget Malik was one of the better interior DL at that time and djax was still producing at a decent lvl no they were complete flops but what we decided on…. I 100% think we did a bad job picking guys but again not limited on who we wanted to sign

Cowboys 48 regular season wins since 2018

Eagles 45

Rosie just annihilating that terrible cap managing team.

Eagles SB champs in 2017 dropped pass from NFC champ game in 2018 and SB runner ups last year….

What have the boys done again l?

But No Mas you want to put Dak versus Hurts on the GM and cap management. Hurts took the very team friendly deal. That’s a Hurts intangible quality you keep underestimating.

So as a fan.. you would prefer the Cowboys results?    I'll take our results....at no time were the Eagles sitting at home finished with their season watching Dallas play.

Again... Dallas made better player decisions for a few years there.  The WRs round 1 of 2020 as perfect example.

Our whole 2019 draft class as another example.

But the cap manipulation is like rebounding in basketball... it's designed to allow you to take more shots.   Hitting those shots is a different thing.
