But No Mas you want to put Dak versus Hurts on the GM and cap management. Hurts took the very team friendly deal. That’s a Hurts intangible quality you keep underestimating.

Yup team friendly deal highest paid QB in the nfl at the time before Lamar who beat him by 5m definitely just like Brady

Eagles SB champs in 2017 dropped pass from NFC champ game in 2018 and SB runner ups last year….

What have the boys done again l?

There was a Dallas fan... " in the last 8 years the Eagles have finished in last place twice, Dallas never has,I'd prefer  not to be in last place "

WTF is that?   Dallas fans are sad now..  Ham giving that example fits right in with how pathetic that mindset is.

Hired and had terrible HC. Yet still won more games in the regular season over that span…with bad HC….and terrible cap management. We had great coaching, the best cap management and GM….lost more games.

Extremely team friendly. Why don’t you look into the actual money Hurts is getting first few seasons. Sure the contract says 80 mil in 2028. Not happening though…we all know that….or you will when you look at it.

Hurts was made highest paid player in the league.  What you miss ... he had no leverage this year.   Why wouldn't he take the deal... he gets paid early, guaranteed 9 figures... if he waits he would never recoup the money.

Wake up dude...stop the fictional movie stuff....real life here.

Brady got under the counter pay. Not sure anybody doesn’t believe him and Kraft were working things out.

Yet we have done better in the playoffs I’d much rather lose more regular season games and do better come playoff time I’ll take that any day of the week

I know nothing about college football prospects.    I don't pretend to know.

When you don't understand contracts, salary cap...and the business side..   just don’t pretend to be an expert.

Just sad.

Brady got the can kicked down the road .. he was paid just fine.  Huge dead cap the year he left....well worth it.

I want Ham to acknowledge.    Hurts got $20 mil raise THIS YEAR.

Next year he could have been tagged.  What would his salary be compared to the money he is getting paid year 2?

Looking at the cash payout from start to finish..  I want to know if you were Hurts agent...and your ONLY concern was getting the most $$ in his pocket ..  not a one year high # for show...but building that bank account.

Forget team cap space or anything else...strictly and ONLY the bank account.

Do you take the deal that he took or do you pass?

Simple yes or no.

I don’t pretend to know everything about contracts. With Hurts the trick is the option money in 2024. I see the cap hits every year after on the signing, base and option. Does he get all that option money next year? Is it basically like another signing bonus?

Because they’ve had terrible HCing. I’d rather be us also. But to claim Rosie is brilliant and Jones is the worst….doesn’t appear so much to be such a clear massive gap to display this being the case…especially when considering their huge problem at HC(Coach Clap and McCarthy). They’ve actually won more during the regular season than us…that’s with us coming off a huge season to even get us that much closer behind them.

Terrible cap management and HC but more regular season wins.

Hurts cash....in his pocket

2023... $24.304 mil

2024... 40 mil

2025... 42 mil

2026 .. 51 mil

$157 mil cash in pocket in 4 years.

He doesn't sign and gets tagged...

2023 ...4 mil

Do we see $153 mil in 3 year cash...if there would be a tag used?

I don't think so.   The business decision was to take the cash.  No agent would have passed on it..  very TANGIBLE decision to take the most money.

I get a kick out of you guys arguing about one of the best seasons in Eagles history.

But let’s do the math for the next two years. How much cash does Hurts have in his pocket after two years under this contract? How much cash does Hurts have in his pocket after two years if he finishes his rookie contract then signs for one year 50 mil next season?

And since 2017 we have more wins the difference taking a year off can do…. Two SB appearances more playoff wins and we won a SB.

Fact is we have been better and this is also when people were strongly against our HC. You were bashing Siri most of his first year but now he is a great coach? Nobody want Doug but he was a great coach?

I’m saying it’s just amazing how with a terrible HC while squandering their cap money they’ve won more regular season games. We’ve had the better HC with Rosie Magic contracts…yet won less regular season games. Their terrible…we’re great….yet wins and losses don’t show that divide.

The tag would be $38 mil... why would he sign for $50 mil when the Eagles could get him for $12 mil less.

Then if he gets tagged again in 2025... it's less than $46 mil.

Add up the 3 years... 88 mil your way of not signing...  he got $106 mil by signing.

You are the agent what would you advise?

Keep in mind $51 mil guaranteed year 4...

I mean are you really going to tell him to not sign ....get money in your pocket now, eliminate injury risk.... why?  Because it's possible to wait and get $70 mil in cash in 2026 ?

That's what he would need to break even... except now he is early in his contract....where by signing the Eagles will be looking to extend him and give him a raise early... then the cycle starts over again.

You don't see that this is the agents job to understand the cycle of cash flow?   The agent needs to get their client cash in bank.... not a fluff # for show.

Siri deserved scrutiny. Playcalling stunk. Then he turned it over to Steichen. Is that not a fair assessment?

You say add another year on ….but you also must note we are coming off an extremely high year to work in our favor. Yet still less wins during the season.

But let's do just 2 years....seems like your magic #

Your way...Hurts would settle or $4 mil this year then get $50 mil next year...

Can we agree it's 54 mil total?

He is getting $64.3 mil the next 2 years.

Can we agree 64.3 is more than 54?

That’s just a HC difference as I  see it mostly.

You are in the same shoes..  tell me ..strictly for yourself... would you take Hurts contract or would you play for $4 mil and get tagged twice?

Who hires the coach?
