The top question reporters should confront Rosie and Siri on. The top negative question that is.

Ranking 31 last season on ST when you have Elliott just killing it kicking would seem almost impossible.

LMAO they are ranked based on stats, which you said I was the only one who worried about those 🤣

Rosie forced McDermott out as DC. Pedey with all his assistants. On and on…but Clay coaching ST a blind man could see isn’t working.

So is Clay allowed to COACH or is Howie "meddling" in his decisions?

OT - Barry Sanders getting a statue in Detroit next wk - one of my fav RB's of all time, tough runner. Remember like it was yesterday guys hanging on him but he kept on going. Could use a guy like that.

https://www.philadelphiaeagles.com/news/spadaro-eagles-vs-patriots-6-key-matchups-to-watch  As I pointed out earlier, the TE's are what they need to use vs us. I also said we should be in Mac's face all game long and I still think that. So Mac will be doing quick passes to TE's if they want any chance. Need to watch old man Elliott out of the back field. He is old but he can still catch

Pats defense(as all will be this year) have a plethora of issues to cover from us. We can hurt teams in every spot on the field. Hurts is smart and as was evidence last year, his decisions got alot faster,so if they pressure him he will take off. If they don't pressure him he will pick them apart. GL finding that fine line LOL  . Any over pursuit by their O line will be cause for RB screens,or tosses to Geodert. So once again I see no reason we can't make post season. Tougher schedule,I don't think we win 16 games, but 12 wins should get us into post season. So that is my goal this year. Tougher schedule so I will look for 29-30 PPG and 12 wins. If we make post season,we will truly have earned it. Great test for the whole team especially the young guys because there are no 'sleep overs" they will be tested out of the gate and while this is one of the more easy games for us,it will be a nice "welcome to the real NFL" moment for all the rooks.

Nebraska at Colorado should be a fun game to watch today

Idk...my guess is after taking over a bad aging roster from 2020....the long rebuild back that ..what was it a whole long 2 years,???   Anyway, my guess is that it makes sense that ST is probably the last unit to come along in that scenario as far as quality players?

After your boy left the team in shambles going into 2013, the previous guy Fipp was the complaint.  All of a sudden he learned how to coach after they got Sproles,  Jenkins , Burton, etc.

We shall see how the ST looks this year with the roster additions.

"Howie and Nick, while the rest of the world thinks you have done a fine job going from the toilet in 2020 to elite status after one season in between... why couldn't you also rebuild the entire ST in that short period of time?"

We need one of those reporters to ask that.  I'm curious as to why they wouldn't want to ask that?  It obviously would make them look intelligent amongst their piers.

This game isn't going to be as easy as some think. NE returns 19 of 22 starters on D and were top 3 in picks and sacks.

"Nick, taking over such a strong roster with such positive leftover vibes from 2020, how come you only won 14 games and lost by a FG to a franchise that has been so mediocre lately,  especially their QB?"

" Howie, don't you think you should look at how the 49ers front office has handled their draft picks and salary cap in recent years and the model franchise of the NFL?"

These would be very intelligent questions from our reporters.

Who is a guy like Barry Sanders?  Haven't seen one before or since?

I;m going to watch the Colorado game(on now) to see if the first win was a fluke or if Deion really has something going here. If it's no fluke they have some very draftable players

Hard to know, we haven't played them since 2019. They have never played against Hurts. Let them over rush,Hurts will destroy them

Using stats is one thing. You think they tell the whole story…and rely much too heavily on them.

Good video... this guy knows his stuff.  Basically showing why it's a huge advantage to extend the player while he still has the year left on his current contract.   You see that effective APY much lower.

Team lowers the cap hit,  player gets $$ in their pocket sooner, everyone wins.

You can see the comparison between Watson, Dak and Jones...waiting and costing the team the full APY....vs Murray, Hurts and Herbert getting it done early with a much lower effective APY.

We should expect Smith and Dickerson to get extended next year right away.

Some people the abstract and theories ... I like the facts and the numbers.  Sales people hate me for it.

When you see a video like this and look at this guy's site ...you see a team up against the cap pay a guy $34 million per ( Bosa) ...then you wouldn't question whether a team with $60 mil of cap space would extend their guy that is much cheaper ( Reddick )

Especially where he shows how the cap hit goes down year 1 after the extension.

Knowledge is power. This I like to see... you guys like to watch Appalachian Tech State and scout the future 5th string WRs... everyone has their thing.   It's all part of being a fan.   As long as the Eagles have guy's that do both well... we should be in good shape.

It's really up to the team and the player. Some players want titles - TB12 - who will do team friendly deals in order to keep the band together. Others - Tyreek Hill $30 mill/yr - just want money. Hate it when those guys say they need to feed their families! Jefferson wants to reset the WR market at even more. Teams have a really tough time juggling who they can pay top of the market money, simply can't pay everyone and one of the reasons RB's normally aren't getting that kind of money, that and their usually shorter prime careers. Lately our Eagles have a reputation of a great culture, respecting their players so it gets us a few more team friendly deals. Not all because we all know greed runs ( and ruins ) the world.

There are no more Barry Sanders's.

So many blowouts today. Turned off the PSU blowout to check out others. Guess Colorado's win last week wasn't a fluke. Deione's actually being humble in his post game, expected him to be his usual loud mouth - kudos.

I think the misconception with Brady and his contracts.

Having lower cap hits doesn't necessarily mean taking less money.   Getting it done early always puts the money in your pocket...but he did leave New England with a lot of dead money at the end.

The culture absolutely helps...Lurie so much better as an owner than the " Guy from France"   That guy had constant issues with not paying the players etc.

I think the Eagles have figured out the culture thing after losing Banner.  And once Howie has come back taking over control money wise..we can see how players get paid early or come here and gladly play on prove it deals.

The mistakes they have made were keeping some guys too long ...Peters, Alshon etc.  But other players see that and figure they get taken care of.

Nobody plays it perfectly, but the players and agents can atleast see the organization looks to be fair and take care of the player.

It's why you see a Malcolm Jenkins and a Reddick play without crying about things even when they feel they want and deserve more.

Btw....Dion Sanders will be coaching in the NFL soon.
