Vikes-Eagles most streamed TNF game ever

No doubt that record won’t last long. Heck looking like even NBC and those games will be mostly streamed before long. More will be on Peacock than using a cable box.

I’m not thinking RB coach is the guy that has been forcing Gainwell overreaching. Seems very clearly Siri’s doing. Gainwell clearly was his guy and pick. Gainwell never had to earn his job. Siri wasn’t a Sanders fan from the jump. Sanders had really nice receiving numbers his rookie season not under Siri. Then Siri just showing biased and hating on Sanders. Now Sanders does seem a bit boneheaded with situational awareness situations. A fair knock on him. How can Sanders catch over 500 yards receiving as a rookie ….then not be capable in that role after? Sanders rookie receiving numbers are no joke for a RB. Especially such a low experienced rookie of college snaps in general…but barely utilized their RB as a pass catcher. So basically his first opportunity in the role as a pass catching option…he brings home over 500. Really very impressive. Would think it just obvious he has massive room to still learn, grow and improve even still…a second, third. …year of actually doing that part of the job. He got injured. But Siri just completely stripped him of the duties. Pulled him out so he could force Average Joe Gainwell. Even tried to feed Gainwell as much glory work in the Redzone as possible. Gainwell didn’t earn these roles. Given it day one as a rook. But then Sanders gets injured. Becomes so obvious Gainwell isn’t starter material. Not just at that time….but his potential ceiling isn’t even that lofty. So Siri was forced to turn to Scott. Scott is a better option and has been forced to earn everything…every year and every play pretty much it’s felt like. But push came to shove so Siri had to make the right call. Turn to Scott. But then Sanders takes over last season. Clearly showing he’s the playmaker and has burst. Fairly large gap between him and the Bench Committee at RB behind him. But still Siri showed forcing Gainwell for receiving. Stubbornly ignoring Sanders already proven rookie year receiving production. Siri still tried to force Gainwell in to the glory positions as often as he could. Leapfrogged over Scott last season by doing? Yeah nothing really happened other than Scott is that underdog underrated RB….while Gainwell was chosen by the HC. Comes down to the SB and Sanders just didn’t look healthy enough to be the right choice that day. Ok..,not problem trying to see if the playmaker RB can overcome for such a huge game. But took too long to notice he didn’t have it. Then so consistent ….Siri goes with his guy over Scott(the underdog that just has earned everything he’s done in the NFL). Gainwell is exposed for what he is. Just not good enough for more than a rotational role backing up. Played out to where that whole scenario is devastating to the SB parade cause. No RB contribution in the SB for us. KC D wasn’t the run stopping fortress wall. Cost us the title. Now just keeps coming. Whole offseason plan this time seemingly based on overvaluing Gainwell. This ego theorists trying to prove how the running game is all Oline and the RB doesn’t have much effect. But at least brought in Penny. Then almost like a miracle didn’t completely abandon the position lost in poor philosophical theory playing out…trade for Swift. Lions practically gifted him to Siri. The reason it actually happened. Thank goodness. Anybody that has watched Swift and Gainwell both don’t need to think or consider which guy is the better option. Swift is agile and can make some things happen. All while having better hands and arguably vision. Yet somehow Gainwell doesn’t earn becoming the starter….yet Siri gives it to him once again. Gainwell did decent on the first scripted drive of the game. But Swift not given a chance. It took Gainwell injured and couldn’t physically suit up for Siri to be forced going with Swift instead. Two players just aren’t close in talent. Probably saved week 2 that Gainwell couldn’t play. Without the much better RB dominating that game becomes really tough to envision victorious conclusion. How long would it have taken for Siri to switch from Gainwell to Swift week 2 if healthy? No idea..but not hard to believe too long. Enough is enough! Best Oline wasn’t enough in the SB for Gainwell to be effective. Before that Sanders injury showed Gainwell couldn’t be forced into a starting role….Siri was made to give it to Scott instead. I’m not a Gainwell hater. He is a versatile Rb familiar with all the plays. Good to have at THIRD STRING! Stop forcing the limited talent player always favoring and forcing him…just trying to make him look good and be the guy. Get over he was your handpicked RB Siri. Cost us the SB last year very likely((never can be proven). But pulling Sanders and now Swift for Gainwell is nothing but favoritism that Gainwell never actually earned. Huge gap between Sanders/Swift and a Gainwell. Who can’t see this clearly? Let the ego go man! Gainwell is very likely our fourth best RB. Shoved into being a starter. The problem isn’t so much Gainwell…it’s Siri with Gainwell. Gotta have blinders on to not see the huge difference watching Swift versus Gainwell. This is the easy decision making stuff. Couple of plays for both…easy call ..Swift! That’s first day of TC. If film study wasn’t already apparent enough. Siri’s tunnel vision granting Gainwell everything the whole time has already cost too much. All lessons have been clearly played out fir all to see. Always was a bad call forcing Gainwell so much like Siri has. But it’s just escalated the whole time somehow. I don’t like dogging an Eagle player like it looks I’m doing. It’s not Gainwell’s fault. He’s decent all around RB. Workable. In the rotational limited backup role I’m totally fine with him. As the guy to win the SB? As the starting RB this season? Emphatic NO! The problem in this situation is Siri…not Gainwell. Want that to be clear.

Is there cliff notes to this?

Dean not available for at least 3 weeks. We called up Morrow from the PS after having released him and bringing him back. He and Cunningham - no, not our Ham - played pretty well vs the Vikes. Those 2 and Ellis are all we have. Evans was a 1st rd pick in 2018, the timing of his release is weird even if he did ask for it.

Mind you Penny just looked slow on his few carry’s vs the Vikings

Scott gave you 40 yards 4ypc  .01 ypc more then Gains gave us vs NE a far superior D

Really not seeing how anyone is making a case that Gainwell is worse then Penny or Scott right now.

Absolutely not.... but need the carries to be split more.

I'm curious if they knew coming in to Sunday to that Swift would be getting more touches vs Minnesota and that's why Gainwell was used more.

I'm not really concerned about the running game... the QB needs to play better as we get into the tough games.  OC getting his feet wet etc.

Haven’t heard anybody mention this: but seemed like when AJ was blowing up on the sideline he came at Hurts. But noticing the slight details going on….DeVonta was right there also. Really looked like the three of them were maybe all involved. A very uneducated guess could AJ have directly said something about DeVonta is his rant to Hurts? Like why is he getting all these balls instead of me? Looks to me like Smith is facing the whole thing. But then even kind of steps towards into it a bit. Siri comes in to back AJ off….and even turns towards DeVonta. Either because Coach was concerned he bumped into Smith because he was so close. Or possibly because AJ directly involved him in the outburst. Just seemed like a possibility observing the whole situation unfolding like it did. Was Smith just coincidentally right there? Was AJ just upset at Hurts performance? Or was he jealous of DeVonta thriving? You could make some assumptions. AJ got more target attention last season. DeVonta clearly been getting more this season. DeVonta was clearly right there. He took a step into it just a bit even. Siri addressed AJ defusing.. but turned back at DeVonta during.

I might be over reading way too much on this one. But does plausibly fit everything.

You tried those Cliff Bars yet? Been out fir awhile. But just tried one for the first time. A crunchy peanut one. I’m hooked! Good stuff. Thinking it’s perfect to have along for a quality energy boost whenever.
But concerning my post: you’ve most likely heard all of it before. Just timing of coming straight off the huge Swift performance difference.

On radio guy said..." you would think be hearing the fans that the Eagles are 0-2. "

59 points in 2 games... and the complaints...lol.

To be honest, I didn't get home until right before they scored to make it 10-7.  So the 61 yards FG ...then 21 points in the second half...I really missed all the problems.

Also missed, apparently AJ Brown was visibly upset...the idea is that he wasn't getting the ball??

Lol the gainwell hate needs to stop are we really comparing Swift vs a really bad Vikings D vs Gains vs NE.

Swift is likely the better RB but again Gains is a guy that gave 4.5ypc last year overreacting because of a bad game vs a top run D is insane.

even more so when 8 of his 14 carry’s came on the first drive

If that’s all I was basing my opinion on you could be correct. But it’s just the most recent glaring visual evidence towards my point. I’m just not in your zone of Swift over Gainwell being "likely”. Huge gap for me. Swift is a playmaker. Gainwell is not. I just don’t see any explosion or allusive ability from Gainwell. Same Oline hole ply being equal: Sanders and Swift could take it to the house. Gainwell could get a 8 yard good play.

Siri never said what that was about. IDK if the players did,but he was trying to sweep that away. We don't need distractions.Smith just had the better match-up I believe. AJ Hurt me in fantasy, but he will have his day

Notice it's more expensive than the other flavors.   But not only the taste, it also seems to give more energy boost than the other flavors.

It was the topic of conversation today... how  Siri handled it.. saying he wasn't there...then they said he was on video talking with them....and then Siri said...none of your business....you go coach.

I mean.... look at the Thursday night games the last few years....just awful matchups.   Not much competition for last night's game.

Correct me if I'm wrong...but the opening Thursday game is always on regular TV...cable or NFL network?

Just assuming he was unhappy with his target share, but he should know by now you can't shine every week. The QB has to go to who is open and TBH,just a guess on my part. Glad Siri is not into the TMZ stuff. Got the win and much needed recovery time

Again atleast your saying swift now and not Scott…. Sorry if I take your rants with a grain of salt when you were spouting nonsense like Scott was clearly better with no evidence to back that claim at all last week

Amazon has the contract for all Thursday games for 11 years. The exception being the Thanksgiving week. At least that is my understanding

Don’t think any fan can judge Penny on anything but his past career. If Penny lost a step from his injuries then he shouldn’t even be on the roster really. Sanders went down Siri first season. No matter how blindly Siri favors Gainwell he was forced to go with Scott over Gainwell then. Even seemed like Gainwell didn’t do anything to earn jumping over Scott since. Felt to me like Scott was number two…but Siri just keeps forcing Gainwell up. Gainwell is a better blocker. Might give Gainwell the edge in route running also. But ball in either guys hands? I choose Scott. He actually has earned it also. Siri never expected to keep Scott around even. But Scott just keeps forcing his way in despite Siri preferring Gainwell so drastically much more from day one. Penny brings a bit more power rusher to the field though. With Swift and Scott 1 and 2..,Penny is likely a better compliment. That’s just if he isn’t the same guy ready to explode at the highest level like he has flashed previously. I don’t see any loss if Gainwell is fourth man depth not dressing on Gameday. Swift is clearly the top guy of the group I want getting touches. He’s the most dangerous weapon. Defenses have to prepare for him. But Swift I see as more a finesse style player. So Penny compliments Swift more than Gainwell. Saying he brings a different element.

Thought I posted that NBC thing earlier.

Yep, always wanted to see what Mailata could do with the ball in his hands. That and the look on the opposing DL faces!

I'm on these synthetic morphine patches and that is way too much to read Ham

Surprised you can even read on those. You must be up in the clouds. Sucks that you obviously need them though.

No disagreement here... Swift is obviously the " playmaker" of the group.   It's why I believe they want him on the field for as many 3rd downs as possible.

I know we disagree...you want bell cow on every play.   I want the duties split up.

To me Sanders was an early down RB, it fit with Gainwell and Scott going in on key plays.

My assumption this year was that it needed to be shifted because we want Swift on 3rd downs.  So we split early downs 3 ways...and Swift gets 3rd down.    Some plays with 2 RBs etc.

We had a TD called back due to Penny messing up a pass protection....that's where I see the value of a guy like Gainwell who does the little things correctly.

Staley,  Buckhalter and Westbrook... Duce to me was not a playmaker...he was a solid assignment guy, all around...but the other two were playmaker.

I don't care who starts....I prefer the split... with Swift being out there when in need a play.   I don't care how the Sanders fluff snaps get split.

But nobody gets 14 carries and only 1 from the other guys.

17 games.... no bell cow, that's an injury waiting to happen.

See I missed it all...I saw 31 points in like 34 minutes.   I didn't see any issues...lol.
