Under Siri been real obvious. First whatever games he arrived they torched us doing this. Playoff game dissected us doing it. Super Bowl it was so easy we didn’t even slow them down. Only way to beat a great pass rush is get the ball out quick. Exactly what we keep telegraphing we’ll allow. Might need Siri to reconsider his core philosophy on things here. Chance giving up big plays more. But they only happen by a QB holding the ball longer and chucking it with a guy in his grill. With that pass just hoping his receiver gets open and wins instead of seeing it and throwing to that guy. Sure they’ll catch some deep bombs that way. But creates more blind interception opportunities as well. Clearly generates the opportunity for the Dline to disrupt and make plays. Which is the whole D philosophy approach. Don’t give up the plays our Dline can’t effect because the balls out too quick. Gotta try and give them the extra second that you rely on they’ll get it done. Most QB can hit the timing route five yard slant plays easy. Much harder to throw that accurate connection if the receiver gets disrupted even a little.

I'll simplify.... forget about how good the pass rush is..   vs ANY DEFENSE.... if they leave a huge cushion and the ability to get 7 yards....easily.   It won't work.

Anyway, for me,seems like a similar game plan vs the Bucs. Should play similar to how the Vikes played. Good WR's,their TE is nowhere hear hock talent wise. not real worried about their running game. Same old same old,get pressure to the QB

The game revolves around the QB.  Coaching and ten teammates designed to make his  job easier... Coaching and 11 opponents designed to make his job harder.

You want to beat a QB...  take away his targets... beat his protection.

By starting off giving a monster cushion... you are giving an immediate outlet.  Making it too easy.

Out for the night. GL 58 hope the rain isn't too bad

Thanks GB, need it, really coming down

BG thinks Sean Desai will bring a more blitz oriented approach to the Eagles' defense.

The RPO to me is a ploy to keep your QB from making multiple or complicated reads.    Read one thing and do one of of two things..

To me that isn't what a pro QB should be doing.  It's amateur stuff.   Use it a few times...but now you are limiting your QB.

They said Foles inconsistency was based off of his excellent ability to make the first or second read...if the play calls were having option 1 open, he would excel.  He struggled when 1st read was covered and check down didn't do enough.

As a QB, you gotta see the field.  Can't miss a wide open player if he option #3.

Reading the D quickly is a basic QB skill.  We did growing up in the back yard.  Pro defenses obviously more complex...so should the pro QB's mind be thst much more skilled and fast at reading them.

This should evolve....this is my problem with a guy who runs RPOs all his life and gets limited on his decisions...see 1st guy and check down or run...that isn't going to develop the skill of reading a defense.

Hurts is excellent athlete...put him back there and let him read a defense....he can escape from the DL..so let him develop that skill to hang in and make the reads.

One benefit of the RPO is it leaves one defender not needed to be blocked. That tips the odds for the O a bit. The decision making has to be quicker actually running these. It’s just another tool in the toolbox.

Foles was described this way for a reason. Really smart guy. He can read defenses well. But he has a glacial delivery. That’s why he’s better off limiting his reads. Takes him too long to get the pass out by the time he got to the third read.

Reading NFL D is a career long learning process. Even the most grizzled pros get fooled at times still also. Basically three separate factors. The personnel. The rush. The coverage. The job of the D is to muddy the waters as much as possible with the QB reading both. NFL athletes can cover much more ground.  Gotta realize it’s not just so simple as Man or Zone coverages. Many different forms of Zones. But what I’m pointing out is the mixtures also. Can play Man on one side and Zone on the other. Or a one player specific Man inside Zone coverage. Including Double Coverage.

The best way to expose the D is motion. Gives the QB an extra deciphering tool. Then you also not just have the QB reading all three factors. But then he needs to hopefully manipulate the defenders. Or really A defender. Freezing a LB or S being the most common. But when the QB deciphers everything correctly he’s going with his first read often. Him and his coach have expectations for read progressions for each play against D play specific. So if the QB is trying to manipulate a S….while doing that he’s not likely to be going through all these other read options. Still much of the time comes down to just a player beating his guy.
In the Pats game I think their D was showing some coverages that shouldn’t be possible to be lined up like they were occasionally. Because it can’t account for every receiving threat. A guy might be running free…but the D had tricked the O on the coverage. It’s a gamble that really isn’t that often played. Pats were gambling a fair amount. Doing so probably almost positioning the O reads in their favor. Showing the QB that the probable best option appears to be the very last option when hit and played just right.

LB room is really weak. S room is lacking.

LB we always go cheap at nothing new even last year it was more guys stepping up then us investing…. White was cheap but played well for us and obviously TJ developing was huge.

Now we need Dean to stay healthy and develop.

S im little more shocked we didn’t invest more at but FA market didn’t look that great in the off-season and so think we are high on Blankenship

Next draft I want Jeremiah Trotter jr. Howie's just going to have to buck history. I'm certain he will do what I tell him 🤣. It would, however, be a fitting, fan happy pick as well as a good move for the future at the position. Really want to keep an eye on him this year

Seen him hit a D guy and he goes back 5 yards in the air 😁

In the past but found this interesting. The last drive in the NE game, NE was down just 3 pts and brought in 2 rookies instead of JuJu. Evidently his knee is pretty bad. Never liked his mouth.

NO FLOODING ! Guees the work I did was worth it, was up all night anyway. Rain came heavy but in waves so had time to percolate. Speaking of percolate - need more coffee!

Glad to see you have power, they are saying 11,000 are out in MA at the moment. Not alot, but a few poles down or transformers blown LOL

You think you're the only one who planted windbreaker trees away from the house? Only lost power once in 15 yrs and have propane.

Anybody know that Scott is dealing w/ an injury along w/ Gainwell? Weird time to release Sermon.

I'm sorry, but I have to post this because of the "panic" in fantasy. Some guy just dropped the Wuss D and picked up the Gnats. I guess 40-0 showed him something??🤣

Waiting to hear about a signing having freed up roster spots - CB? A little strange not having a signing right away w/ extra time before our next game.

Don't play fantasy but that does sound funny. Guess that helps you

Good thing for us. TB plays DaBears and while the Bears are nowhere as good as we are,it will show us how they intend to play against a running RB. Gives us time to add to "the plan"

People told me "it will block the view" LMAO Yep sure as hell WILL,right in the direction where the cane winds come off the gulf. I'll trade one "view" for home security all day LOL

You don't have to play fantasy to know it's fairly ignorant to start a defense that just got blown out by 40 points. yes Dallas is good, but 40 points good, is a defense I would avoid in week 2 lol. Gotta love the rookie fantasy panic crew
