Don’t think any fan can judge Penny on anything but his past career.

Lmao you can judge gainwell off 6-8 carry’s he had in 1 drive and the scatter 6 he had the rest of the game.
But I can’t judge Penny on looking slow lol 😂 it was pretty clear the man didn’t have the burst just looked sluggish and slow

Short summary gainwell sucks, Swift is better…. Siri is obviously forcing Gains as the starter…. So stuff he has been saying since NE.

Atleast he is actually saying a RB that probably better then Gains now though and not Scott

Stuff I’ve been saying much longer than just week one of this year. But my point really isn’t Gainwell sucks. Siri just overreaching with him since day one. If my belief is based on a players level of being a quality starter? Then Gainwell sucks. But I see it more as Gainwell is a quality backups backup RB. Very solid option to have as third or fourth string RB.

See I missed it all...I saw 31 points in like 34 minutes.   I didn't see any issues...lol.

Both teams struggled in the first 1/2. The second 1/2 was the game I was expecting. If JJ had caught the pass that was missed and ruled a touch back,it could have changed the outcome

Dean's on IR, foot injury vs NE, thought you all knew

They had Cliff bars at our car dealership in the waiting room free. Pigs would fill their purses with them. Now it's just chips and crackers etc. Like the dark chocolate with nuts

But ball in either guys hands? I choose Scott.

4.0ypc v 4.5ypc in the same number of touches last year pretty clear that Gainwell was the better option with the ball in his hands last year if we want to talk about earning it

Penny didn't look slow to me, just carried the ball loosely

Obviously right now they don't trust Penny....and Scott is never  guy that gets a lot of snaps.   But didn't get why so heavy Gainwell and so little Swift.

50 -50 to me...with Swift more 3rd downs.  NE game was definitely odd.

It's why I said Gainwell missing a game could be the best thing fir them to figure it all out.

He looked slow....but it was also in comparison to Swift... they all will look slow.

I said earlier that maybe we used Gainwell up knowing we had the short week coming and didn't want Swift beat up in NE. Swift had a career day

I liked Gainwell last yr, Sermon didn't play a lot. If we're going to a threat in both pass and run we need a good stable of RB's. They also want the RB's more involved in the passing game. Now if we could only pass! ;)

Yeah... let's all concede... ball in the hands....Swift,  Gainwell, Scott.   The unknown is Penny.

We can all admit Gainwell is not a bell cow..  let's not go overboard with saying Scott is better now.   Lol.

Yes...you called it.

I can't comment... last night from the part of the game I saw...they didn't need to pass...but Hurts hit Smith on a big one...and converted a key 3rd down.

I hear the beginning of the game he struggled.

I don't care really, but it seemed like a logical move vs NE to get Swift ready for the Thursday game. IDK that I called it,just worked out that way

Plus the receiving stats.

First 1/2 was very boring and pedestrian on both sides. A real snoozer

I agree... 100%.   I believe it to be very possible strategy

Not the last few minutes.

You didn't miss anything LOL

Well there was no choice but to open things up because neither team looked good

You can re-watch what you missed (didn't miss) or not. Most of the 1/2 was boring with few exceptions. but we got the W. The home field offset the short week

The passing game was just bland and bad thankfully the ground game got going then opened up the deep shot later…

Also have to say wasn’t a fan of the designed QB runs we used early especially when Swift was having success running and they kept Burts bottled up

You make a decent case. But only based generically on stats. Bigger picture stats at that. But I’m not so sure the situations and opportunities were so equal. Gainwell really been given the most choice chances from Siri all along. But starter went down…even Siri’s blind love for his chosen back Gainwell didn’t prevail. That says more than YPC based on not equal carries. Siri has done nothing but try to give and get Gainwell there. Hardly wanted to roster Scott. Scott just keeps forcing the issue. But I concede that there isn’t this massive divide between the two. I give Gainwell the nod in blocking. Leaning towards Gainwell running routes better as well. Might lean Gainwell on just falling forward more. Scott is short and really thick. Making him a tougher tackle for defenders. Scott has that hunger and competitive edge. Scott is more allusive and shifty. Scott also has an edge in burst through the hole. Vision I lean Scott also.

Also to add not 100% sure how many of the QB runs were designed QB runs(know there was a few) v Hurts opting to keep on an RPO

I thought it weird that for awhile we were getting to Cousins early the first 1/2,then that kind of fizzled out
