You have seen this kid Chase though, right? The guy that was such a stud he took over at LSU and made Jefferson the second option out of the slot. I’m thinking Chase is the second best player in this draft behind Lawrence.

Maybe so. I guess we will see what side of the ball they go for. Probably wouldn't be a bad idea to look at Center or Guard in the 2nd round either...

Driscoll apparently taking first team reps at RT today. I like the move as Pryor struggled, and GB has a monster of an OLB in Smith. So getting a quicker guy at RT makes sense.

Also Ertz was activated, along with JJAW.

If it were me, I would roll with Ertz, Goedert, Fulgham and Reagor, with Rodgers and Ward taking up the remainder of the snaps.

We cannot continue to draft WR's in the 1st round. Much rather grab the best Defensive player on the board. Parsons is ranked #1 defensive player by some.

It’s early still for me in draft prep. I don’t do it all season like NC.

Welp, Just got told I have 8 Vacation days left and 3 sick days. I have to use or lose so not working any Friday or Monday starting next week plus off Xmas week entirely. Not worried about the Sick days.....

I think Ertz had to be activated or put back on IR. Not sure how ready to roll he is though.

Farley and Surtain are big time DBs. They should be in serious consideration for our high draft spot.

I can't understand for the life of me my Driscoll didn't get the nod over Pryor last weekend (unless he was still recovering from injury and not ready to go).  He was first up earlier in the year when Lane couldn't play and after a few early lumps, settled in rather nicely (relatively speaking, considering he is a rookie, etc.).  It kinda reminds me of playing Opeta and Pryor over Herbig recently (at RG).

Whoa...hold the horses. We just won the SB in 2017. Been to the playoffs in 2018 and 2019. We are having a bad season in this anomaly asterisk of a season....and you go there. Not even close. No preseason. Can’t even meet or huddle during some days and weeks. This post by you was a massive overreaction!

Yep, we were SB bound every year after 2017 right?(no) Re-signing aging players with little inter team development and less than stellar draft choices. I will stick to my opinion. As far as the asterisk season, every team had that. That is a level playing field no??? Not a 1 team excuse. Making the playoffs is not the same as being SB bound because you are a dominant team and I also said I was STARTING to see that here. It CAN be corrected, but we need to act NOW before it's 35 years of rebuilding

Trevor Lawrence is a no brainer. Which is why it’s not worth your time to consider. If we were sixth pick could we even give up two more first round picks to acquire him(three first round picks for number one overall)? I don’t even think that would work.

Our 1 plus Wentz for the #1 would not work?

Rushing attempt numbers usually reflect who was in the lead. Wasting time at the end you run. When you are playing catch up you pass. The point of Pedey needing to stick to the run more is valid. Us being behind having to play catch-up has been the situation most of the season also though.

Yeah because we give up the run even if it's EFFECTIVE

Like Chase, but as I said I am looking at his overshadowed teammate Terrance Marshall who can be had later

We have a C on the roster. In the past those have been cut for roster space and this one is still around, so that must mean something

Not prepping, just playing around with possibilities. Round 1 you have parsons. And another guy I would consider is Twyman(DT). This kid took the year off(not because of covid) to work on his body. I feel he will be the best DT in this draft. If he flies under that radar and falls into 2,you bet I grab him,but I doubt he will remain under the radar long. He was my choice if we drafted in the 12-14 range, but we're so bad we're going higher lol

You know at some point you’ll be glad we got real game film to judge all these younger guys.

Is he better than the Fl St guy Wilson? I don’t know? Rousseau from Miami probably ahead of both though.

Jets gotta take ‘um. They have Darnold...but still....HAVE TO TAKE HIM! Like the situation in Zona. Had to take Murray...then you definitely have to take Lawrence.

Well if we picking top 10 which is highly likely doesn’t matter to me what position draft the game changer... Should not be to hard to figure out who the best guy is in the top 10.

Ill take the LSU WR, any DL, OL, LB get me that all pro guy for the next decade

It’s early in some of these rankings but it looks like a lineup of big school Oline in the second round of this draft.

Only problem is....we pretty much have to draft Asante Samuel Jr in the second round. I mean...don’t we? 🧐

You mean like we took Reagor instead of JJ?

I like the Reagor pick just agree with some here on how our receivers are hardly ever schemed open, the lack of success hiring a productive WR coach...Why can't one of the fastest humans in the game run past these CB at least Once or twice this season?WHY?

Why was Marty hired? Where has he been successful in the last 20 years?

I am with you Marty ball was a disappointment here in Philly with his Pass, Pass, and Pass some more...his latest fame credits him with the Baltimore Offense and Lamar Jacksons recent successes. I thought he sucked with the Jets also.

You bring up a good point. Some players take longer than others to start producing. 3-4 years is too long for the early picks IMO. I still think Sidney Jones is afraid of the run game, will forever refuse to lift a weight, and will play physically soft just like he did in college.  The others you mentioned may fit better in other schemes.

To me a GM establishes the big picture of the team, goes and gets a HC that fits that vision, and then gets the most talented players who fit. Howie is responsible for the coaching hire and the players added in the draft, FA, and trades as well as re-signings. Howie has drafted 1 pro bowler since 2016 in Wentz. That's it. That's worthy of being let go as a GM if there were no other issues, which there are. I do put it all on Howie, because he's responsible for all of it. If one gets the big salary and make the big decisions, then one must suffer the consequences of his failures. No scapegoats. No blame shifting. Stand up and accept what was earned.

I just don't see Laurie firing Howie. He is going to be promoted to a new position in the organization. Now Doug that might be a different story.

Tough to know since noone has seen him play this year. I suppose the combine will be all important for him
