As much as I really really want Chase or Pitts....I can’t reason a way for us to make that move to four. We need a massive youth injection. Get as many young guys playing time as possible. I don’t care that much about a billion day three picks. I’m fine staying at twelve...or even trading back. It’s moving up into day two that I’d be trying to make happen. How much do I have to give up to turn pick 84 into pick 60? That’s more my thinking.

I’d sooner keep those picks to use to restock the roster than package them to move up for any player.  There isn’t a single player I’d give up the farm for.

Trevor Lawrence I would. But I get your point otherwise

What is consider giving up the farm lol...Because I’d image if the Eagles traded up would be for less then what we gained from Miami...

Finally was watching some of the presser with Siri. He still refers to himself as an offensive coach. Doesn’t think of himself as the Head. Basically still feels like he’s the OC with Gannon coming in equally at DC.

I haven't checked it out, but if that's the case it sounds like the last regime.

Thought HR was the coach? Kinda like the power behind the throne type of thing.

Pretty scary for fans and people who like good football in general.

It was interesting hearing the Rosie forced the Phins to tell him who they were trading pick three to as part of the condition of the deal. He really can be good in these type situations. The Art of the Deal so to speak. Maybe made trades just to make a trade at points: Avery and Tate come to mind. I totally believe he screwed up the Ertz trade....considering he got injured right before he closed the deal. Think he was getting a little greedy on that one. But, like in Wallstreet, greed is good! I have no doubt we’ll be moving around the board this draft. (Sorry FL and all your mock drafting)

Rosie has the most draft ammo ever(11 picks this year....several being high in there round and also a big draft haul next year ...,which we’d expect would be in the upper half of the rounds)

No doubt.  If he blows these next 2 drafts with all of these premium picks at his disposal his head better roll ... finally!  No excuses to not come away with at least 6 immediate starters over these next 2 years with a couple eventually becoming pro bowl caliber players.

Who are the prospects you don’t like? Or maybe feel are really overhyped.

One guy I’m not feeling is probably Paye. Seemed like he got garbage sacks mostly. Not really seeing a guy that can beat top caliber talent. Where as Barmore looked to be the best and most dominant player on the field several times. Not sure Paye can translate to the next level. Probably be solid. Can stop the run and set the edge. But first round I’m not looking at run stopping DLine. That’s why I gravitated more towards an Ojulari type. He wouldn’t be as stout against the run...but he has big time pass rush potential.

IDK I cant see them up close so I can only go by what others write. They could be wrong. Barmore seems like a reach at 12

Yeah him too. I think he is overrated also. I like Oju if we go that way, but again not at 12

It will kind of lose some steam when he goes out there and yells to Cleveland fans, "And your franchise is so bad, you failed to draft Carson Wentz, which we have now turned into a third round pick this year, and a conditional second round pick next year."

Suit Golic up

Noone's losing their minds, but isn't the point of a draft to get the best players you can? Guess we lost our minds moving up for Wentz then, since we failed to support getting him weapons and linemen him after that

Di you just quote yourself and argue with yourself?

A good read about how a change in scheme could impact the draft.

NFL Draft: Eagles could select an edge rusher or trade down at No. 12 (usatoday.com)

Some thoughts.

I think Samuel, Melifonwu and Newsome fit much better in a cover two scheme, and trading back to the 20s to take one of them or waiting to see if any of them are there at 37 is a good plan.

A lot of people think Horn and Surtain go in the top 10, and so I imagine we go wr if one of the top 3 is available.

I would hate a DE pick at 12. It's not really that I am opposed to Paye or Phillips, but rather the fact that there will likely be a ton of developmental guys available later. In mock draft simulations, it seems like the fifth, sixth and seventh rounds always have a ton of edge rushers.

If we want to run cover two, we had better get committed to bringing in better LBs and safeties.

It's called quoting a line. If you don't like it scroll past it, or maybe I Di

Yes, basically we can and will do 57 things. Each one has a reason because the writers need to stay employed. Only a few options/stones unturned, like we will trade all our round 1 and 2 picks, for all the 32 round 7 picks for the next 3 years, in a 32 team deal. You know it's a possibility. I think that's the only article there is left to write. Here's another one to add lol              https://theeagleswire.usatoday.com/2021/04/20/nfl-draft-carolina-panthers-trade-back-scenarios/    The writers can't crank out possibilities fast enough

Was just wondering.  Lile or dislike play no role.

4 days out another article on Philly not likely to stay at 12.... This is either the worst kept secrets or a pretty damn good smoke screen.

A list of roster locks ahead of the draft.

Mailbag: How many current Eagles players are locks for the 53-man roster? | PhillyVoice

He has 34 players (Hurts, Flacco, Sanders, Scott, Goedert, Ward, Watkins, Fulgham, Reagor, the top 8 olinemen, the top 5 dlinemen, Singleton, Edwards, Taylor, Wilson, Slay, James, Maddox, Harris, Epps, Wallace, Elliot and Lovato.)

I would say other guys really likely to make it are JJAW, Hightower, Bradley, Arnold, Jacquet and Ridgeway.

Some thoughts.

We will likely keep 10 olinemen, and I think the team would be comfortable keeping 10 out of who they already have, or upgrading in the draft.

I think JJAW makes it based on his ability to play an hback role.

If Tate is a qb, I like his chances. He is basically a Hurts clone, so keeping him on the roster gives them a backup with the same skill set.

Corner is also obviously a huge issue, but so is TE2 and DE4, both of which are likely to get significant snaps.

Maddox is the one guy on the list that I think is in danger of not making it. His salary is $2 million this year, and they save a lot of it if he doesn't make the roster. Unless his deal is redone, I think he gets cut unless he has a huge training camp.

There has been a lot of talk about the Eagles not keeping their 11 picks, but I think they need them.
