Just some random comments for people who didn't watch the game and have no intention to do so. I find myself being more annoyed at the result of the game than I probably should. It's ridiculous t

It wouldn’t surprise me if the first 4 picks next April are all defensive players.

Hell no. I’m not a gambler but I’d bet a decent amount that doesn’t happen.

Need a QB and possibly two OTs.

they've outlawed drag racing, exhaust modifications, plastic straws etc etc but have more private jets per cap then any other state.

My favorite is all the idiots moving out of Cali because how bad the taxes and politics are getting, only to go to their new state and vote the same way.

Actually, the primary reason for leaving is housing costs, which is due to both zoning restrictions (of course, Houston is the opposite extreme, doomed to extreme flooding b/c lack of zoning restrictions) and demand for people wanting to live in California.

I think one is enough if Mailata plays well. Have to replace basically our entire d-line and Slay will be gone sooner than later. All of these one year deal band aids will need to be fixed at LB & S too. Not to mention that we’re only having those 4 picks if Hurts plays great. A lot of work to do.

Well Hurts isn’t going to be great. I’m talking first 4 picks in general.

Just read it a second time, not seeing it.

She said it didn't get bad until the second appointment. Personally, a finger in the butt request would be enough for me to bail, but she didn't think it was bad until he started to grope her.

Still does not explain why any of them booked a second appointment if they were uncomfortable during the first one.

Maybe they have modified Sirianni's "Alexa" at home and turned it into "Howie".  Total surveillance from field to home.

The backlash if Cowboys got Lamb and Giants got Smith and they both turned out to be studs.

Howie can’t win

You spelled... "draft", "contract structure", "identify talent", "take responsibility" wrong.  Not sure which you were going for.   But the lack of wins in recent years falls squarely on the above.

Eh, I'm 100% guilty of griping over CeeDee Lamb to the Cowboys.  I still hate it.  The domino effect of the Eagles not trading up for Lamb has been franchise changing.  Word on the street is it would have cost the Eagles 2nd round pick to move up.....that 2nd round pick turned in to Jalen Hurts.  How would this team have been different if they gave Carson Wentz CeeDee Lamb and didn't bring in Jalen Hurts?

However, if the NYG took Smith, I wouldn't feel any certain way.  I still don't know if I like the pick for the Eagles.  I wasn't a fan but I'm approaching Smith with an open mind.

Bold prediction, Kadarius Toney has more highlights and TDs than DeVonta Smith as a rookie but Smith has more yards.

The issue wasn't Lamb.  The issue was having Jefferson land in their laps without needing to maneuver a bit, and Howie flubbed it.  Completely flubbed it.  And he wouldn't have had to overpay to do it (like with Lamb).   And because Howie didn't take Jefferson when he was sitting there for the taking, he was forced into making the pick for Smith.  If they had Jefferson, they could have taken the extra trade down option and not have been in a bad WR position.

In the world of economics there is compound interest.  In the case of Howie and the NFL, there are compound mistakes.  No mistake sits isolated, instead they add up to be worth more collectively than merely the sum of those blunders.

ugh

4 voidable years... which means that they would still have to pay Barnett (on the cap) if they choose NOT to resign him.  And they didn't extend him at all.   Howie specialty... voidable years to pay for the present with the future.   And what is the goal of this $14M for 2021?   I'm tired of Howie's maneuvering.  Seems like there is might now be close to $34M in dead for next year.  ($25M already, plus $9M for Barnett).  Great job Howie.   He's inching closer to that $49M he set up for this year.

I will never blame the QB for throwing an INT when targeting JJAW.

It’s for optionality purposes. If they don’t use the cap savings this year, it gets tacked onto next year.

Optionality purposes this year, which is a year that frankly, they will not be able to compete anyway.   Great idea.  Get options for a meaningless season, and limit them for the future.

We can officially say that Howie’s solution to the 2021 cap crisis was to kick the can down the road.

We couldn't say that before?

Sirianni going to make us a soft football team.

We have a whopping $9M in space next year IF the cap hits the ceiling lol

Maybe it’s to be ready to strike if Watson settles

I agree with you. I do NOT want to use this year's cap space. A couple of things do help us though

1) Watson's contract now easily fits under the cap, if we got a great deal on that. I'm not saying we should do that, but that option is now available.
2) Makes it easier to trade Zach Ertz. Teams can't bluff us thinking we must cut him to get under the cap.
