The biggest question from this is did daniel Jones trip himself before getting to the 100 yards

I still get annoyed by the way that play was marked. They gave him the slide, but by rule, when a quarterback dives forward, he is supposed to be marked down at the spot. Remember Carson Wentz's dive into the endzone a 2-point conversion two years ago that was overturned? Because the ball was short of the goal line when his knee touched the ground, the rest of his lunge didn't count even though he was untouched. There isn't some implied asterisk attached the rule saying, "Well, he would have gone further if he hadn't dived". It's pretty cut and dried.

Just some random comments for people who didn't watch the game and have no intention to do so. I find myself being more annoyed at the result of the game than I probably should. It's ridiculous t

Trying not to get over-excited about Zach McPhearson. If he can play, it's a boom for the franchise and gives the Eagles so much more flexibility in the 2022 off-season since we'd only need 1 CB and not 2.

It was interesting to see how excited the Eagles were to get him even though he wasn't on a lot of big boards at that spot. If he turns out to be good it's great for the team obviously but it also speaks to the fact that they may have actually learned how to evaluate DB talent instead of just trying to be the smartest people in the room and getting cute with picks. Which would ya know, be a nice change.

Fingers crossed.

Not loving these passes with zero pressure/coverage

Jacob Eason being terrible, and the Colts' aversion to trading assets, means they'll likely rush Wentz back. We do know that Wentz will work hard in his recovery. He started earlier in 2018 than we thought he would.

How is that even possible when Wentz injury was from high school? What are the odds

Wentz injury may have originally occurred in High School, and not healed properly and eventually broke. They aren't really sure. Sounds like its the same bone on Nelson that broke. It's a ridiculously improbable scenario, especially so close in time.

What is going on in Indy? Barefoot practices?

High second here we come!  Feel bad for the players but not the team. It’s the curse of Press Taylor.  Nelson may be a better guard than Brandon Brooks, he is that good.

C'mon, who's going to the first one to say, "Watch, Nelson will be back in five weeks and Carson won't be back til twelve"?

You know you WANT to say it, don't you?

Joey Hunt is their starting C? Man, there O-Line is going to be brutal. Even if Carson comes back early he's going to get wrecked

My hope is that he gets to play.  This season should be all about finding the players to build with for the future.  Younger players should get the nod over older players most of the time, with a few exceptions.

I look forward to seeing how the Colts try to block Aaron Donald in week two cause i don’t expect Nelson (really wentz either) to play in that game.

Nelson is the best G in the league, imo

I wouldn’t worry. Protecting a QB coming back from his own injury really isn’t that important.

Right?

Or the play was for the pass to be outside and the RB run under it.

It was Hurts to Sanders... so let's hope they work that out, or it will be an ugly ugly year.  That's a 'gimme' play.  Can't afford to miss on those.
