August 7, 20214 yr This is great and he looks great. It was said in his induction video that in his thirteen years in Philly he’s one of the few players that the eagles fans have never booed. He still holds several franchise records for the team nearly forty years after he last played for the team. Either that shows how great he was or how bad the receivers the team have had since then. I think it’s the former not the latter.

They are in the title contention phase as one of the top elite teams in the league. Daboll staying one more year as OC when he could have taken a HC job. Bills are in win now mode. As for Allen, unlike Watson, he actually has achieved an elite level of play. He had all the physical skill and talent in the world coming out of college but doubts and questions were if he would ever be able to put it all together and he has. The sky is now the limit for him as a QB. He's worth it.
August 7, 20214 yr Cliff Harris and Drew Pearson were very good players, but they are benefiting from their SB ring and Cowboys' reputation more than being deserving, IMO.

Well having a ring does seem to help players get in or get talked about as a HOFer. I mean some people seem to think that Eli manning is a hall of famer because he has two rings which is true, he has two rings but he might want to credit David Tyree and mario manningham for having those rings.
August 8, 20214 yr I'm still shocked Edge got in, idk if I ever watched him and thought "oh yea, that's a HOF running back"

August 8, 20214 yr When Hurts does well in practice then all we hear is "it’s just practice”. When he plays bad in practice now it’s a big deal. He’s our QB this year, so let’s see how he does when games start.

They want him to earn it rather than be gifted the starting job (even though, face it, he HAS been gifted the starting job because of how events have played out). The question is not whether Hurts will be the starter Week 1; the question is how long will he keep the job. If you see a healthy Hurts sat down at any point during the season for Flacco or Mullens then you know what the direction of the organization will be for 2022 and after. I’m meant funny as a figure of speech. As for wanting him to win the job I mean come on who’s his competitor? Flacco? No way Mullens? That would be a joke. It’s his job yes but early returns so far as of now don’t look to good. It’s still early so I guess we will see

A good NFL QB should do very well at practice. Predictable coverages, he's not gonna get hit by the defense, etc. So when he's struggling at practice... not great.

Just that today he was straight trash and you hope he gets better not worse.

He’s been off and on

He’s been off and on I generally agree with this, but that’s if you are looking at him as a pure passer. I think he’s the type of QB whose going to be meh in a practice setting but look better in an actual game. Not to say that means anything in the grand scheme of things because you want your QB to operate and run the plays as designed, not around and play backyard football. Which has been 99% of everyone’s criticisms.
August 8, 20214 yr I wish reporters could give more info on the multiple looks the D is giving. Like, when lined up in a 3-4 what is the personnel? I have seen it said that Milton Williams is a DE. But is that in a 3-4? Or 4-3 as well? Who are the 4 LBs, compared to the 3 in the 4-3 alignment? Who are the 2 nickel LBs? Are we 1 gapping? 2 gapping? Does it change based on the formation 3-4 vs 4-3? How much wide 9, if any? Would love to know more about what this defense looks like.

What are people expecting from a back up RB??? From reports at camp sounds like Scott is getting the most touches and run with the 1st team other than Sanders, seems the coaches like him and why not??? Guy isn't an all pro and last I checked most teams don't have an all pro RB on the bench. So again why all the Scott bashing??? Not bashing him. He's a limited role player who I feel can be upgraded on. I even said no disrespect towards him to make sure people know I'm not bashing or hating on him. Just like we can do better than Greg Ward, we can do better than Boston Scott. I think he offers more value as RB3 than RB2.
