Just some random comments for people who didn't watch the game and have no intention to do so. I find myself being more annoyed at the result of the game than I probably should. It's ridiculous t

Why does Tomlin look so surprised?

Why?

He thinks it’s a nice number.

The Eagles need offensive Tackle Depth. Dillard as  back up is the best option this team has currently.

Doesn't sound like he's a good option at all if he has to play.

Would love to trade him but I doubt he has much of any value around the league.

A question that I asked last year:

How many players on this roster could fetch a first round pick in a trade?  Devonta Smith does not count.

Probably 0

All of them.

Smith is the only one. We have good players, but they're older with bigger contracts. Unless a team panic trades a 1st for Cox/Johnson, it's not happening.

I'd be curious to see what Mailata would net. Not that I want to trade him or anything, but he's a young starting caliber LT  who continues to improve and with insane measurables coached up by Stoutland. A first seems unlikely right now but wouldn't be surprised if he's worth one by the end of the year at all.

How many are worth a second-round pick?

Goedert, Johnson, Mailata.

that’s all I got

I guess Hayden Hurst was traded for a 2, but he had two years left on his deal and isn’t close to as good as Goedert. Lane, I’m not so sure with his cap figure and injuries but maybe. Mailata, I wonder how other teams see him. He’s gonna get a really big contract from someone, I imagine. Probably us.

Mailata is too much of an unknown still IMO. He still needs to win the LT position, stay healthy, and improve this season for a new deal. Howie will likely give him a mega deal soon though

My personal opinion is that Goedert isn't worth close to a 2...but the precedent of overpaying for Hurst puts him in the discussion.

Lane is in a transition period.  Given his contract and health, I'm not sure he's worth anything at all in a trade right now.  If he stays healthy this year, then suddenly he's worth quite a bit as an elite OT at the deadline, even if he's near the end of the line.

Mailata is also tough to nail down.  By the end of the year, he's either worth a 1 (or more) or something in the 2-3 range.

As a defender of the media, I still thought it was funny. Obviously he was annoyed by his story about the Eagles being concerned about his work ethic.

I must have missed this. There was a story about his work ethic?

It wasn’t a whole story about it, but within the story was this paragraph…

"There was a feeling among some coaches, however, that Cox wasn’t maximizing his ability over that span, or taking the necessary preventative steps in terms of his health, team sources said. And there is an internal concern that he won’t take the extra steps as he enters his 30s to retire in Philadelphia.”

Lanes cap figure is tremendous for a team trading for him, mostly because Howie can’t stop restructuring him. $1M, $7M, $14M, $13M and $16M, which they can get out of at any time. A contending team would throw a 2nd for that. However, on the flip side Eagles realistically  wouldn’t take on $35M in dead money this year or $20M next year.

Is this a clip from today? They are back to zoom PC’s?

For those interested on the Singleton and COVID...

I suspect that will be a recurring theme across the season. Vaccinated players stuck isolating.

It's a shame that they couldn't ever get him decent help and the decent help that they tried to get always ended up injured

Wonder what his career would have been if he wasn't doubled and tripled all of the time

Good point. I stand corrected.
