August 9, 20214 yr Just watched the full live practice on YouTube. Offense looks horrible. They had some moments but overall the defense dominated. Hurts had one good throw where he broke the pocket and hit Quez Watkins for a deep TD but nothing much else. DBs shut down the WRs in one on ones. Just not looking good so far on the offensive side.

Which video did you watch the ones I can find are just drills there's no offense v defense, do you have a link?

He spoke for a long time, and didn't say anything. Dawkins' speech might have been the best one ever, with a very clear message. Yes, I'm biased, but Dawkins made it about everyone who helped him get to the Hall. And gave a message to anyone who was struggling through some tough times. Ray Lewis, once again, made it all about himself.
August 9, 20214 yr Jacorey Shepherd was great in 2015 camp before he tore up his knee. He was never a fast guy, so the ACL unfortunately KOed him.
August 9, 20214 yr I'm happy to see Tyree Jackson improving and becoming an NFL tight end. I've been comparing him to Logan Thomas since the season ended and he's the kind of guy you need to keep on the active roster. The Eagles aren't going to be contending this year. They might surprise and win a few more games than expected but I don't see them winning more than 6. There is no reason to have a Dick Rod at TE3 instead of Jackson. We need as much young talent as possible.

August 9, 20214 yr How do people still get fooled by camp reports?? Unless a guy looks totally lost, they mean next to nothing

So my guess is, unless Reagor plays out of his mind(which I dont think he has the talent or skill to do) Mr. Reagor will be buried on the depth chart. There’s more proof that you’re a Steelers fan

Every snippet means either you were right about something, or need to find a way to explain it away.

Unless a guy looks totally lost, they mean next to nothing I agree, but take Hurts himself for example. In college he played pretty good, but had poor mechanics, accuracy issues and had an issue reading the field. In the NFL, he has shown spurts, but has been abysmal with ball security and accuracy. His mechanics have had issues and he's still struggled to read the field. Then comes the off-season where we have gotten 15 hype videos and reports every single day about how he's working on mechanics, working his butt off to get better, etc. In camp - we still see poor mechanics, issues reading the field, poor accuracy, poor ball security, etc. Against as basic of a defense as you'll see. Not very encouraging, but obviously it won't be an actual issue until we start losing ball games.

Payton Manning threw more picks than TDs his first year in the NFL with a proper training camp etc and went 3-13.. Not saying Hurts is going to PM, but give the guy a shot for a season at least before writing him off..

I've said it countless times before, but I think it bears repeating, if only to inform Eagles fans who weren't aware of his history. By his second year, he started opposite Eric Allen, who was in his fourth year. And Smith was the better player. Then in a game against the Browns later in the year, after intercepting a pass that ended a record non-INT-throwing streak of Bernie Kosar, he tore up his knee. Done for the year. Came back the next year and was just another guy. Shipped off to the Broncos later on for a third round pick. I don't think he did much anywhere after that. That was a tragic injury. Buddy Ryan sure could recognize defensive talent. Smith sure had some ability.👍

He really hasn’t earned a shot… But the Eagles are one of the most poorly constructed, least talented teams in the league. So he’s all we’ve got. The issue is that he’s going to have a legit excuse that he looked bad while playing with horrible weapons and a bad OL (after Lane and Brooks go down). And that’s why it’s important to acknowledge that he hasn’t earned a shot....because understandably playing poorly with a horrible supporting cast doesn’t mean he gets another shot for another season.

What are people expecting from a back up RB??? From reports at camp sounds like Scott is getting the most touches and run with the 1st team other than Sanders, seems the coaches like him and why not??? Guy isn't an all pro and last I checked most teams don't have an all pro RB on the bench. So again why all the Scott bashing??? It's what the blog does. We obsess over the things a player can't do and downplay the things he can.

Different coaching staff, but when Agholor struggled his first season he was given more targets and more opportunity his second season, not the other way around. Nelson was drafted before Doug took over, just as Reagor was drafted before Sirianni took over. They were drafted in almost the identical draft slot and Reagor will get full opportunity before any coaching staff would "bury" him. Coaching a player hard doesn't mean the coach doesn't like him -- it means the coach wants to get the best out of them. It's up to the player to recognize that and respond appropriately. Sirianni is also quick to praise and congratulate Reagor when he does something well.
