Once again the lack of coverage is really annoying. I have to try way too hard to find good info about camp. I have no idea how we really look but I have a feeling its not good.

Just some random comments for people who didn't watch the game and have no intention to do so. I find myself being more annoyed at the result of the game than I probably should. It's ridiculous t

Silence is golden.  It's what Lurie fears the most.  Being irrelevant.  At least that's what he feared in the past.  He's changed obviously and I am worried he cares more about his role, Howie and the social BS he likes to chime in on, over the success of the franchise on the field.

I would argue this is the least excitement surrounding a new Eagles season since 1998.

1999 and 2016 are noteworthy in that they were coming off horrible prior seasons and there wasn’t too much excitement around AR or Doug, but they did have #2 overall pick qbs the fans were anxious to see.

We know they’ll be bad and we also don’t have new franchise play, nor is there anything resembling a young core.

I do. You only hear about 3 to maybe 4 plays per day, and it's all the same plays from every reporter. Back when Don was posting the dailys tweets it would take awhile to go through them all. I feel like now you can do it in under a minute. Maybe its not the coverage per se, just boring dink and dunk offense that's not even worth tweeting about.

Give me a combo of Vick and Rodgers and we’re set.

Besides the speed what did Vick have that Rodgers doesn't?

Who has/had the stronger arm? They both can sling it

Rodgers has the better QB IQ though

He does have luck. That doesn't mean he isn't arguably (most likely) the greatest QB the game has ever seen. Is that so difficult to admit that with greatness there is luck involved?

Tuck rule wasn't lucky?

Malcolm Butler wasn't lucky?

Edelmans catch against the Falcons wasn't lucky?

Matt Ryan completely wetting the bed when he literally could've kneeled three times isn't lucky?

(To be fair, all the credit in the world for that comeback. Props.)

Dee Ford lining up offsides isn't lucky?

Putting up 13 points in a Super Bowl and still winning by two scores isn't lucky?

He is still the GOAT, but let's not pretend he's been on some bottom dweller team with no support his entire career and still managed to win 7 rings.

Having an easy division for over a decade helps too

That's strange and actually seems like it could be a problem because of the delay. Why isn't Nick just talking to the QB himself?

Great for his trade value

Hopefully it's nothing serious but if it is then he lost the health battle

That's not an interesting development. What were they supposed to do. Wentz is out for a min of 4 weeks now

Side note, this has been BY FAR the worst coverage of any year. Don't know if it's because nothing special is happening, beats are just saving it for their podcasts, the team is boring or a combo of all 3.

Doug was very secretive and it didn't really matter

Definitely less tweets posted in the blog. Not blaming anyone, just saying. Are they down outside too?

Maybe the tweets are less, but the podcasts, feature stories and practice report articles are all on par with previous years IMO.

Fair enough. Agreed with all that, coverage was probably just a poor choice of words.

LT only and about a 3.4m hit this year, 4m next year.  A little rich for an unproven backup who can’t play RT.

If the Eagles have to eat all/most of that if they trade him, then they’ll either just keep him as depth or look for a meaningful asset.

If the new team assumes all of that contract, then we are looking at 7th round value if he loses the competition.

It is a fully guaranteed contract.  Sure, the other team can pay his base salary, but in regards to the cap, it is still a dead cap hit of 3.5 million this year and 1.7 million next year.

Jalen Hurts has 270 team drill reps with the 1's and only 10 TD's for those keeping score.

That's Doug's fault as a carryover from last year.

It's $1.7 both years. Would have been $3.5M this year if he was traded pre-June 1st with $0 next year

Oh  yeah, hit the wrong selection.  My bad.

Has one of the greatest Eagles plays of all-time

I think Vick flicked it better than anyone I’ve ever seen.

Hmm .... too bad so many posters in here have already donated that first round pick back to the Colts.

He will come back too early and get reinjured.

Vick may not have had a significantly stronger arm but he just made it seem effortless. There was no heaving the ball.

Brady's decision-making was/is next level.  Especially in NE with Belicheck.

Practices have been shorter.  There's very little in the way of footage from practice.  I do think the podcasts is a big reason but it's not like there's a lot of solid information especially about the offense.  It's just not like it was in the past when the practices were all open at Lehigh.  I mean there was just a ton more that we got to see.  I think we're getting more than last season but not much.  I do think there's been some good information about the defense.  I mean it seems like the defense may be pretty good which will be nice.

Interesting notes.

Avery is starting at SAM

Howard is RB2

7 Tight Ends?  JFC.

I have never heard of that punter.

Marlon is looking like he's not making the team.  I have to think Pryor may be a trade candidate.

In years past there were a ton of tweets of what isbocrruing over the course of a practice.  This year there is hardly anything coming from the beats.   A fraction of what we have received in years past.

That's not reporters fault, they aren't allowed to film anything after warmups. It's just weird, like today for example the only thing tweeted out was Reagor dropped a Hurts pass, Slay broke up a Hurts pass and Ertz caught a Hurts pass. But there was clearly more than just 3 passes.

Maybe -- I mean, Hurts does take off a lot.
