Is there a treasure trove of videos of him making these crazy athletic catches that I am not aware of? In college I saw Josh Huff.....that's why I thought he was a reach. Still do. Not his fault. But what is his fault is that he appears to be a mental midget. I thought it was a terrible pick. I think many people did. We passed on jefferson for this guy which is just crazy. There’s no legit rationalization for that.

Even if you ignore the unofficial 40 times in the 4.2s (which is reasonable) he was clocked at a max speed of 22.6 mph in a college game (better than anyone in the NFL that year). He was the Texas state long jump champion. And on top of that predraft Bruce Feldman reported as a junior he had a 620-pound squat, a 380-pound bench and a 380-pound clean. C'mon man now you're just being stubborn. His route running blows and he hasn't shown the effort necessary to succeed but questioning his athleticism is asinine.

As far as a football player is concerned, he is not an elite athlete. And the more I think about him....the more it appears he was a lot like Josh Huff in college. Size and production....although Huff had the one great year and Reagor had a better fresh and soph year. They both are from Texas!! I wonder how fast Reagor can drive on the Walt Whitman....... So a 600+ pound squat and literally a faster recorded in-game top speed than any player in the NFL that year doesn't translate to elite athleticism to you? not stubborn at all

You're still using the same avatar that I made you change to because you lost the bet.........which was a bet based on Reagor's production...........and yet you are still being his hype man.........and with all that said...........you call me stubborn? Think about that for a second. For a pro WR, he is not athletically elite. He is not elite in anyway. Quit being stubborn and come to terms with that. Seriously. Did you go to TCU or something? Be honest. His production had nothing to do with his athleticism numbuts. Mentality? Softness? Poor route running? Sure. But raw athleticism absolutely not. You claimed he was never an elite athlete which is objectively false. He's was literally the best long jumper in the state of Texas and has an insane top recorded in game speed and weight lifting numbers. And you lost all ability to claim those arent reasonable measures of athleticism when you used things like 40 times and a lack of a Fing catch highlight reel (which I'm sure you could easily find if you wanted or if it made any difference whatsoever). He was literally on a predraft "Freaks" list in The Athletic because of his athletic ability FFS: https://theathletic.com/1065937/2019/07/12/bruce-feldmans-freaks-list-2019-college-football-top-athletic-performances/ Now plenty of athletic guys fail in the NFL. Undoubtedly he was a disappointment last year. But pretending that he's never been objectively very athletic is seriously dumb. C'mon now you're better than that.

Whether that translates into football is another question. But yeah I'd agree he's a top athlete. This is where the unmentioned claps back with some juvenile insult. Insert here.^
August 10, 20214 yr I see there's a lot of discussion about Reagor going on. Allow me to weigh in: Jalen Reagor sucks.

I mean he's a rookie and it's notoriously difficult for rookie WRs... It was that he just looked sluggish and slow. We drafted him due to his burst and speed and he just didn't have it.

His athleticism and speed really don’t worry me. He’s always reminded me in that department of Chris chambers who had a pretty good career in he nfl. My issue since he came out was the reports about his atttidue where he’d give up on plays not going to him or if things weren’t going well he’d just go through the motions. Add on i think he needs to mentally mature. He also had some refining and work to do on route running. His athleticism and speed never has concerned me.

Still claiming he's not athletically very gifted is like saying Jay Cutler sucks cause he has a weak arm.

Yup last year he looked chunky and the game speed he showed in college didn't show up in NFL. Maybe he was thinking too much, maybe he was hurt maybe he was out of shape or all 3 who knows. Hopefully this year he plays to his speed.

I mean look he did a fast 40 time (and yes sure we know it was his coaches timing him etc) and we saw in college that he's explosive and he's fast. But he just didn't have it last year for whatever reason.

I mean part of showcasing speed cones from catching the ball in space, correcting time, correct angles, elusiveness, etc. All areas where he sucked last year. The play where they have him the ball on a short pass to end the game and he ran right into a defender comes to mind.

August 10, 20214 yr Either we have the makings of a steel curtain defense or this offense is going to be horrid. I’ve never heard of so many pass break ups in camp.
