Just some random comments for people who didn't watch the game and have no intention to do so. I find myself being more annoyed at the result of the game than I probably should. It's ridiculous t

Nope. It's distance/positioning/timing data calculated via network of satellites. Satellites that circle the earth.

So what happens when you lose your GPS signal, did the satellite fall out of the sky, I know, maybe those that are using the satellite didn't pay their bill.

Science Fiction writer Arthur C. Scott dreamt up the idea of geostationary satellites in 1947, shortly thereafter we had satellites above us that are moving in concert with the rotation of the Earth so for us on the ground, they're not moving at all.

WTF, reporting to the Mods a comment on GPS where it was referenced in a MPH stat for an Eagle WR.  Yet you quoted Duck Walk, or whatever the F that troll is today.  JFC.

He is tactfully going flat earth.  He was given a safe space.  Don’t bring it here.

In what way?  They're a year or so into trying to replace him and what?  The quality is down tremendously.   All good things must come to an end at some point...

Because it's still a great show. The show has always been about the contestants and the question material. And it's still great even if it's Joe Buck reading it out for them.

Incidentally, the current champ is an all-time great. Well worth watching.

Still think Fleming was a better host than Trebeck.  Trebeck’s interviews of the contestants were cringe worthy.   The new host will be that executive producer guy who was the second guest host.

I'm glad someone else noticed that. I tried to mute the interview part whenever I could because Alex's interview skills were that awful. His attempts at humor were indeed cringe worthy.

It took me a long time to get used to Alex since I had grown up watching Art, but after a couple of years I decided that he was actually better. Sans the interviews. And the "look at me and the way I can pronounce French words correctly" pomposity.

Don’t mind that self righteous poster.  He feels the need to play devils advocate with every GD topic.  I put him on ignore.  Yet people quote him and I see his Bs. EagleVa…:not yet.  But soon.

Maybe you should stick with The Price Is Right and Jeopardy replies, I don't give a damn about that so you won't have to worry about me playing devils advocate.

I'm going to go in to my employer next week and tell them that I wanted to be traded.  I'm sure they will be happy to comply.

Let me know how that goes.  I might try it too.

I hate the Dallas Cowboys so much. I’ll watch Hard Knocks because hbo does such a great job, but this is the silliest team and fan base on the planet.  Training camp in California (which I know they’ve done forever). What a f’n joke.  Yet they continue to dominate national media and have zero fans that are actually from the state of Texas.

Since living all over NC since college (and a brief stint in Chicago), I’ve met dozens of Cowboy fans.  To this day I’ve never met one that knows Dallas’s area code.  They’re the most pathetic fans I’ve ever encountered.  F the Cowboys and F all their fans. Fight me.

How much of Hard Knocks airtime will be on Jerry Jones?  I'm going with at least 50%.

Music and not even close. Longer shelf life, way less commitment, way more perpetual income.

Seeing CeeDee Lamb getting a nut shot within the first 5 mins was worth it

And for people crushing Sirianni they should equally crush McCarthy for motivating his players with an Austin Powers clip.

You mean Clarke, not Scott?

Seemed like he was carrying too much muscle. I remember one of the insider guys (Caplan maybe) mentioning a big point of emphasis for Reagor was getting his weight down. He's very muscled up for a WR of his size.

Yeah he is. I seem to recall he bulked up for the combine last year but then lost some of that for his pro day?

Oh yes it is.

Think about it, when did the GPS become popular?

Answer, when cell phones became popular, they realized that you can use 3 towers, by timing the amount of time it takes for a signal to reach a tower they can triangulate your position.

That's why if you go to a sparsely poplated area your GPS won't work because they don't have 3 towers close enough to receive signals to one or more towers.

Triangulation was used decades ago by the military before cell phones hit the market, research the LORAN (Long Range Navigation) system that used radio signals for their triangulation, there's also another system that was used by the military but I can't recall it at this time.

Uhhh, I hunted in a very sparsely populated area and gps is what got me there. Sat phones are what my guide used at the cabin.

This team lacks quality depth all across the roster.   RB included.  Scott is not dynamic in anyway.  I think far too many people see him and hope he is a Darren Sproles replacement and he is far from that.  He’s just a guy, IMO.

yup

Athlete, you get to retire earlier and don't have to keep performing until you keel over

Maybe you should stick to keeping your crazy flat earth b.s. in cvon where there is a nice thread for you to debate it.

He’s much better than Sproles was for half his time here, fwiw.

Eagles-Steelers replay is at 11 Eastern on NFLN Thursday night for you out of towners.

If you’re talking about the half where he was always hurt.  Then yeah ok.  But that’s it and not by much.

Sproles was so bad and unreliable his last 3 years here that the Eagles were basically working with a 52 man roster.

In 15 and 16 you could make a case for Sproles being the MVP of this team’s offense.

However, I’m convinced that Sproles getting hurt in 17 was a great thing for the team. That sounds harsh but it forced Doug to implement more of a north/south run game with Blount then later Ajayi.

Last season the Eagles defense only forced 19 turnovers -- 8 INT and 11 fumble recoveries.  This season I'm predicting 30 takeaways -- 15 INT and 15 fumble recoveries.

My bold prediction for the season, along with the 7-10 record.

Eagles should spread the rumor that Dillard is winning the battle. Pay the fake news people to spread the propaganda, and try to get SOME worth out of this flop.

right now, I dont think you could get a 5th for Dillard.

Think about how bad that is, #22 overall, a 4th and a 6th and you can turn him into a 5th rounder 2 years later.

That's good ol' Howie for ya
