Just some random comments for people who didn't watch the game and have no intention to do so. I find myself being more annoyed at the result of the game than I probably should. It's ridiculous t

Deshaun Watson?  Google him.

No criminal charges of anything, no conviction not even suspended.

Guilty until proven innocent these days

Man. Actual Eagles football is on. Can we do this another day?

Surprise highlight of the night...for BS low level commentators, the term "Washington Football team" rolled off their tongue better than it did from any broadcast team in any game all year last year.  No hesitation.

I watched a Chase Young highlight against Pats tonight, that dude is going to be a monster this year

Lurie was such a good owner for so long. Seeing him now just pisses me off.

I’ll pump the breaks but Watson is a future Eagle so

My face when Quez scored that TD

He was a monster last year lol

It's early but figuring out this roster and numbers at each position is going to be tough.

5 RB deserve to be on the team

4 TE should be on the team until Ertz is traded.  Dick Rod can probably be cut and signed after week 1 but that's also a risk to put him out there.

5 DE, I think Jackson is going to earn a spot.  Milton Williams might help save a roster spot with his position flexibility.  However, TY McGill is looking like he could be hard to cut.

5 safeties probably deserve to make the team.  Adams hasn't practiced much yet but he's a ST, vet presence who could prove to be valuable.  Epps, Harris, Wallace, McLeod should be locks.

I think you go light at LB, WR and OL.

Only a matter of time before he surpasses Donald as top defensive player in the league

True lol

Watkins had good acceleration but was the dude on the Steelers who had the angle really slow too?  I watched it in a slow mow and I couldn't tell how fast he was.

Eh I’d take Garrett/Watt/Joey Bosa over Young

Well that’s thing that DB had the angle and Quez still beat him and pulled away. Quez has electric speed. I was expecting that from Reagor.

Ok My wife has seen enough.  Let me know what Megalacock Mullens does.

No one without an agenda would call Hurts’ performance tonight sub-par.

Bounced a pass to Reagor. Missed a wide open Watkins. Throw away. Scrambled for 3 yards on 3rd and long. 3 of 7 passing.

Yeah he lit it up.

Stat line doesn't do him justice, but Jesus Christ.

Yeah. He looked a little better than 3/7. But he also didnt look like a guy thats going to lead us to playoffs.

Theres a big difference in what looks good for Hurts. Vs what looks like acceptable QB play in general.

I think this is actually likely a playoff team with Watkins at QB. And with Hurts it looks likely not to be. There was no flow to that offense. It resembled the previous years offense. Lots of opportunities. Lots of opportunities squandered.

Haskins has been "impressive in camp” ha yeah maybe until tonight

Edit: good thing this is preseason

If Ward/JJAW/Fulgham/Hightower ALL got cut, 3 of those 4 could end up on our PS.  At least 2 can sit on the PS as depth and injury insurance.

If it comes down to keeping any number of them and cutting a promising player versus going light at WR...I agree...go light at WR.  It's all about Smith/Watkins/Reagor.  Ward is probably guaranteed the 4th spot as an old reliable behind all 23 and younger starters...and as a PR for when Reagor craps the bed in the regular season.

At RB...this isn't intended as a knock against any of our guys, but no one at this position has any value.  With the exception of Sanders, we got every single one of these guys for either nothing, or close to it.  No need to stash anyone.  Keep who we plan on using for the year, and release everyone else into the wild so we can repeat the cycle of small investments in the position next year.  I'm not sure we need to go with 5.

DE...might need to go heavy here, I agree.  If they don't, they'll be cutting a 2021 draft pick.  And freshly drafted DE's don't make it to practice squads.

Not that I care cause it’s our backup backups but wtf was that coverage

It's not a make or break move but he's the kind of guy that can help a team.  If the Eagles cut Dick Rod while holding on to Ertz and Jackson and someone then claims him.  It might make Howie hesitant to pull any trigger on an Ertz trade.

DG, Dick Rod, Jackson is much better than say DG, Jackson and Stoll.

No matter what, I think you have to keep Jackson on the team.  This isn't a reaction from 1 catch tonight.

Mullens is probably going to put some work on these 3rd stringers

Hurts is so bad that when he looks okay people think it's actually some great showing.
