Are you the one who was calling Quez for nasty nate just the other day? If so it doesnt surprise me to see you werent blown away by his TD today.

To be fair, it was perfectly blocked and the safety took an awful angle.

He looked fast as hell though.

Just some random comments for people who didn't watch the game and have no intention to do so. I find myself being more annoyed at the result of the game than I probably should. It's ridiculous t

I did lol. I think he's being overrated still to be honest. We'll see.

How many times was Fulgham targeted?  I don’t recall any. (They know what Ward can do.).

Lol, most of us know what he can do. And what he can’t.

Yeah, the Steelers were really stuck in mud. Quez is fast, but I wasn't blown away by it. Perfect play call and execution.

Fast for sure but not elite speed.  You could tell he was giving everything he had for every stride, that was his top gear...and that's perfectly fine.  Guys with elite speed (DJack, Tyreek...) when they run they don't even look like they're trying.

This is not a knock on Watkins.  It was a great play and going back to the Cardinals game last year, he seems to be the only Eagle WR that knows how to make a WR screen work.  His speed was showcased and will help this team during the season.

First team snaps — Ertz 7, Goedert 5

Raequon or Milton Williams?

Raequon.  Don’t think I saw Milton at DT at all.  I thought Milton outplayed Jackson at DE.

Nope. He’s also had a not great camp. I would only be surprised if he’s cut because the depth at the position is bad.

Milton had a really good snap at LDE beating a double team. Would have had a sack if TY didn’t get there a half second first. He’s on his way to being baby Aaron Donald.

Hahahaha.   That guy is easily the dumbest poster around.  Holy F that guy is obsessed with me.  I’m glad you quoted him.  I wouldn’t have seen it otherwise.  He’s a creeper.  Tells me he doesn’t want to engage me on here.  So I put him on ignore and the dude still can’t stop talking about me.  Total Freak.  Maybe he likes men. NTTAWWT.

I'm onto you, Bacarty.

The usage of Milton Williams will be key to his development.  I tend to prefer early playing time for rookies...threw them into the fire...BUT, I also want to do so with a narrow, defined role.  i.e. keep WRs and DL at one position, ease up on ST/returner requirements.  Get them out there, but keep it simple.

With Williams, I'm not sure he's going to maximize his potential by retreating into one position.  I'd really like to see him get a nice mix of snaps at both LDE and DT.

Appears that way.

I never think anyone has elite speed.  But I'm not sure how anything else can come to mind watching him play tonight besides elite speed.

Real test?

A whole half of Hurts and the ones will provide a better read.

And if they do actually mix in some 3-4, he do well as an end there.  Much more so than a 4-3 DE.

I would have liked to see some blitzing from the defense.

Yeah, him as a 4-3 end seems so weird to me.

Smart.  If there's one starter to keep out of the entire preseason, it's the RB.

Williams and that USC NT were pretty much getting blocked one on one with the Steelers 3rd string IOL.  Williams showed no savvy about playing off blocks and attaching the runner.  Jackson struggled at RDE but faired better at LDE.  Spin is lousy move to use much because of back to the play.  Ostman and Johnson saw snaps at SAM.  Unfortunately, the Steelers didn’t test them with throws to the TE.
Rashad Smith was bad. I am pretty done with him.

Yup

Kept hearing how tuilpolu from USC or however you spell his name wasn't much of a pass rusher but had heavy hands and was stout against the run

If I remember there were a few articles saying he would get more playing time than Milton because he's not as raw and better again st the run

I always thought that was a stupid take and after tonight sounds even moreso.

USC NT got abused all night by the Steelers 3rd string, not good 👎

He made that nice rush that created the sack for McGill

I saw that, his size and short arms seem miscast as a 4-3 end.

Lol

That's why his usage in the defense is critical.  He's a unique talent and tweener.

Schwartz was overrated by some, underrated by others.  While he did a pretty good job of putting together better than average, even keel defenses despite modest talent...creativity just wasn't part of his arsenal.  A player like Williams would never develop into anything with Schwartz as the DC.
