Now it’s a real Eagles offseason

He had a good play on a run play where he was lined up as a stand up edge on the weakside, he blew right past the block and blew up the runner, next play as a pass rusher he got totally stoned and engulfed by the LT.

I like his motor and how hard he works and I had hopes that he could be a situational pass rusher but the more I watch him the more I think he's just a tweener, too small to be a DE too slow to be a LB.

Oh well.

Just some random comments for people who didn't watch the game and have no intention to do so. I find myself being more annoyed at the result of the game than I probably should. It's ridiculous t

I don’t think this is anything new. There was always criminal investigation going onward depending based on that if there was sufficient evidence to actually bring the charges to trial.

What changed? I thought this has been the case this whole time. Unless I missed something

Right? That’s what I was thinking. Either way trading for Watson is risky. Honestly I’d rather used the draft capital to fix this team.

It seemed like they were only going to go the civil suit route, easier to prove, gives the accusers the ability to keep their name out of the media.  I think this may be the fallout from Watson not wanting to sign any NDA's.

So would I, and everyone else.  Problem is, Howie Roseman is the one using that draft capital.

It was thought that it may eventually lead to a grand jury determining if there would be criminal charges. Now, it's confirmed. So not necessarily a major change but it's a new step and more of a hold up to a potential trade. If he's indicted he will be put on the commissioners exempt list probably immediately until who knows when.

I also think it's a lot more likely criminal charges are coming now that it's going this route.

I guess it’s just another step in the wrong direction for Watson. No way any team would trade for him now.

Well unless the Eagles total stink this year an go something like 3-14. Howie was got to be gone it it gets that bad right?…Right???

Forget Watson and that circus.  Go get Michael Thomas.  New Orleans open to trading him now.

Ostman already won Nasty Nate once.  There's never been a repeat winner.

I mean it's better than sexual assault sure, but Thomas is a nutcase. Gonna pass on paying a premium for that drama.

From the interviews I seen i kinda question the charges. Now I only seen two women tell their side of the story I know there’s many more but a lot of stuff didn’t add up. For instance one women said she heard he was a football player and didn’t know him but figured it would help her business then she found out more about him. Then she said during the massage she said Watson told her to pay attention to the upper thighs cause he does "a lot of kicking”. A QB who kicks a lot? Sounds off. Just stuff like that.

22 million against the cap next season. No thanks.

From what little I saw of last night game, Flacco looked pretty good.  Being a vet, he see the field well and get the ball out in time.  The QBs that are available at this point are likely the back-up or unproven ones.  As #2 to help develop a young QB, and take over games if needed, he fits the bill.

These are the cap hits for the team trading for him

Sure.  Let’s keep throwing assets at the wide receiver position.   Put the shingles on the roof before you finish the foundation.

Is the house built or did they go unfinished Foundation-roof shingles?

Well, it was pretty obvious they were forcing the ball to Gainwell and Huntley. Gainwell passed the test with the second string OL.  Huntley failed with the third string OL.  I expect to see them get some snaps with higher level OLs in the next two weeks.

Huntley looked so much better on KRs. Reagor looked lost and cost the Eagles valuable yards on kR and PR last night.

I'm not sure if I would trade a 7th for him given that contract anchor, his age, and the competitive stage of our team.

This is the kind of thing where, despite Gainwell looking better than Huntley, people scratch their heads because next week we see Huntley with the 2's and Gainwell with the 3's.  Makes it easier to compare.

Slow motion watched Hurts two series and the defense’s one series.  Most of Howard’s plays, he was running outlet routes. On his one pass pro, he absolutely stuck the defender.  Scott ran some outlet routes.  On his pass pro, I think he got away with a hold.  Opeta was okay at LG, although bull rushed back.  Both Lane and Brooks looked a little rusty.  On the end zone throw, Mailata’s first step was too far and cost him leverage.  He got bull rushed once and started to lose ground but gave a couple quick punches (mean hands) which allowed him to win the engagement. He did have one play where he took the defender behind Hurts.  If it was Carson, as deep as he would drop) that would have been a sack.  Sure looked like the OL was playing mano a mano.  On Hurts’ run, Scott was open right in front of him.  He needs to keep the pass as an option until,he crosses the line of scrimmage.  Scott may have been screened from his line of sight.

There were obvious things that the STs groups on both sides were focusing on.  Huntley looked decent on KOR.  Reagor did exactly what a player is coached to do.  Within ten yards of the end zone, let the ball hit, fake the catch and clear out the area.

Wonder if they do any of that with Mullens.
