Loved this throw from Hurts.  Two pass rushers coming right at him, he gets off a perfect pass to hit Goedert in stride as he is cutting out towards the sideline.

You didn’t know! Apparently Jalen Hurts can’t throw the ball according to some taters so this is obviously fake. 😂

Just some random comments for people who didn't watch the game and have no intention to do so. I find myself being more annoyed at the result of the game than I probably should. It's ridiculous t

Wrong.  This is a totally overrated part of his game.  He is an ok passer and has average vision.

That just isn't true.  The amount of open looks for 3 that he sets players up for compared to when he is off the floor is extremely noticeable.

The Sixers need to trade him at this point and they will but to try and say he is just an okay passer with average vision is completely ignorant and par for the course when it comes to Sixers takes in this thread.

Yup this throw is a top level timing throw by hurts, he's got a guy In his face and he just tosses an on point over the shoulder pass to Goedert in stride right over the top of the head of the corner, who had good coverage, which allows goedert to pick up yac.

The problem isn't that hurts can't make these types of throws it's that he doesn't consistently make those throws

With a bit more work /comfort in the system and more experience hopefully he can, cuz like I said thats a high level NFL QB throw.

Like going with Cary to shop for wall sconces?

Makes sense Kelly ran a 34 and Gannon has some hybrid looks and graham played OLB under Kelly.

Maybe Gannon will occasionally use graham as a stand up rusher???

That’s why it makes no sense to already condemn the kid when hasn’t even played a full season yet. Who makes absolute claims about any player after four games? To me it’s someone with a clear bias.

he doesnt do it with vision and great passing.

He does it because when the 6'10'' athletic guy acts like he is going to drive the defense is forced to collapse. So then Ben hits the brakes at the foul line, turns his back to the basket, and underhand passes it to a wide open player who filled in behind him on the perimeter.

You have read a stat, and assumed it meant something that it didnt. Pay attention. Youll see there is nothing impressive about the vision or passing required to do that.

I still say give me a top QB

Tom Brady has faced a top 10 Pass DVOA defense 20 times in the playoffs.

He’s 15-5 and his teams have averaged 27.9 points per game

Yup. The claims either way on hurts by some have been prematurely over the top.

Im going to maintain what I've said from the start that I will take a wait and see approach.

4 games as a rookie and 2 series in a pre season game dont really do it for me.

I think as a whole too many organizations give up on young qbs too quickly.

Look at guys like Chris Chandler and rich Gannon.

Both were career journey man who led their teams to Superbowl well into their 30s.

Gannon win a league MVP.

Yet the jets gave up on darnold after 2 seasons of giving him zero weapons and a crap O line.

Sometimes it's obvious that a QB just sucks and it's time to cut the cord and I think with hurts he's a guy that works tremendously hard and if one is patient and outs in the work with him and grows with him he could be good enough to win games with.

Like has been said one not need an elite qb to win a super bowl, just a competent one paired with a good roster.

Eagles have a way to go to having a good roster adding a new shiney 1st round QB isn't going to automatically fix the lack of roster talent

Fields looked okay. Some poor throws, a horrible pass that should've been picked and a really, really stupid fumble. Also showed some good poise and hit on 70% for 140 (or so) and a TD. Definitely seemed to improve as the game slowed down a bit.

It takes a brave person to speak out and say that Tom Brady is good.

Whatever happens the one thing I hope they stay away from is giving up a lot of assets to acquire Watson. He’s the prime example of a guy with a lot of talent who put up a lot of numbers, but led his team nowhere. The Eagles should be using their many first two day draft picks to improve this roster as a whole. The Eagles need more players. We always witnessed how the great hope quarterback can’t do it alone. He needs help.

Yeah, you've certainly had your fair share of good takes...

Point is , defense doesn’t always win championships , it takes a quality QB and quality D , or a elite all time top D… but you’re not winning a super bowl with average QB and average D

Yup I agree, if Howie spends a 1st on a rookie QB next year then great whatever.

If he sends a bunch of picks to the Texans for Watson, not only will he be bringing in a polorizing player with questionable character but he'll be bringing that player to a team that lacks the assets to supplement the roster around that QB.

I'd rather they use those picks to build up the rest of the roster rather than blowing their whole load on one player.

This has nothing to do with vision.  He is the fastest guy on the court and can only do his one move which is transition to the other basket faster than everyone and then he passes it to guys who are wide open for 3's.  He is a good cross court outlet passer.  He does not have "good" vision and is just an average passer.  The stupid fancy drop passes between his legs, even I can do.

I was just typing up my reply and you beat me to it.  We were all hoping he was the next Magic Johnson during his first few years but doesn't have even 25% of his vision or b-ball IQ.

I don't watch the sixers nor Ben Simmons so I'm not going to comment but here's a clip of one of if not the best passers the NBA has ever seen

If Hurts is as bad as some claim (after 4 games) then the Eagles won’t even need to use picks to trade up. How can the Eagles win with a quarterback some of the dopes say can’t throw a football? 😂 So that means the Eagles will be in shape to draft a quarterback without needing to trade up to get one. That means they would still have picks to improve the roster. If Hurts turns out to be better than any of us imagined then the Eagles have 4 picks (unless Howie does something) in the first two rounds to improve the roster. The best move is to wait and let this play out.

Yeah we do. Name the last "playmaking" QB who was crap passing his rookie year that won a Super Bowl? Answer that has been discussed here multiple times...nobody. He is a freaking one trick pony and that doesn't change. I hope he tanks beyond belief this year without any question and as fast as possible so we aren't sitting here next year having this same stupid conversation. Tebow 2.0.
