Incorrect.

Do you have any studies/actual science that shows that to be true of any substantial level?

Just some random comments for people who didn't watch the game and have no intention to do so. I find myself being more annoyed at the result of the game than I probably should. It's ridiculous t

Think about it. Do masks only work in one direction?

Yes, this is what the science has told us.  The effectiveness of a mask is to reduce water droplets from going into the air where they can later be breathed in.

Think about it.  Do you think a cloth is really blocking microscopic molecules from being breathed in?

Don’t worry, Lenny. Tom’s personal trainer will have some special concoction that will prevent you from getting Covid. You might get busted for PEDs though.

If Howard Eskin is 90% sure of the trade, then surely he knows the comp and salary cap implications?

Or Howard Eskin is more full of hot air than a field full of hot air balloons...

The question on Watson is what comp are the Texans wanting to get for him, and are they willing to wait for the legal issues to be resolved to get the maximum out of the deal (presuming they know the scope of the issues)? If they are, nothing will be pending for many months.

He’s the Eagles’ sideline reporter… Is this a trial balloon of sorts to see fans reaction?

The next time a Howard Eskin report turns out to be true will be the first.  I can't think of a guy with a worse track record of reporting things.

John McLain who is the go to for Texans stuff, tweeted that Deshaun Watson will not start a game for the Texans this year.

Yes, a cloth mask can stop droplets laden with virus.  If they are recommended to stop the exhaust of droplets, then why would they not stop the inhalation of droplets? The exhaust is going to be far more concentrated than is the inhilation.

Can you please provide an actual scientific source stating that masks give substantial protection from the virus instead of the mask's effectiveness being for those who have the virus to reduce it's chances of them spreading it?  I'm still waiting and this is now the 3rd time I have requested it from you.

No, that's why I'm asking for a study that shows what you are claiming to be true.  The only strong evidence for the effectiveness of masks with COVID is that if someone has COVID then it can help reduce the chance of them spreading it if they are wearing a mask.   But there is next to nothing concrete showing that wearing a mask does much of anything to protect if you if you do not have it.

Here is one from Harvard for example dated from May on it.

You never know. Equally, he is looking for Twitter impressions in a quiet time.

If Howard Eskin says something, I tend to ignore it.  There are connected Eagles reports and bloggers. And there is Howard Eskin.

And I get that. But doesn't stop them from retaining his rights and seeking the maximum return at some future point.  If a team offered the right comp, he'd be gone already.

"Without more research, we can't be certain that masks protect the wearer."

You ignored all that went before the part you quoted.

"We've known for some time that masks help prevent people from spreading the coronavirus to others. Based on an analysis of existing information, a new study contends that masks may also protect mask wearers from becoming infected themselves.

Different masks, writes the study author, block viral particles to varying degrees. If masks lead to lower "doses" of virus being inhaled, then fewer people may become infected, and those who do may have milder illness.

Researchers in China experimented with hamsters to test the effect of masks. They put healthy hamsters and hamsters infected with SARS-CoV-2 (the COVID-19 coronavirus) in a cage, and separated some of the healthy and infected hamsters with a barrier made of surgical masks. Many of the "masked" healthy hamsters did not get infected, and those who did got less sick than previously healthy "maskless" hamsters.

A similar experiment cannot ethically be done in humans. But researchers have studied doses of flu virus and found that people who inhaled a higher dose of flu virus were more likely to get sick and experience symptoms. Observations of coronavirus outbreaks in processing plants and on cruise ships also support the idea that masks may help protect mask wearers."

Flu cases were down huge this past season , mask wearing played a major role in that  , along with social distancing . Mask work

Theorizing but nothing proven.  What we know is that the primary effectiveness is to stop the spread for those who might have it but little actual research showing it is effective for protection.

You want to wear a mask go wild.  Do you.  Doesn't effect me.  But I don't get it.  Do you plan on wearing a mask the rest of your life?  Just curious of the thought process of those who similarly to you still wear the mask after vaccination.
