The standing over players ? I mean they kind of have a point. Make the big play and walk away.

Did you watch the video? That was minor. Brandon Graham likes to talk a lot, so he will probably get flagged if they call it that closely.  Can't take all the emotion out of the game. I agree with flagging if it carries on for more than a second or two.

Just some random comments for people who didn't watch the game and have no intention to do so. I find myself being more annoyed at the result of the game than I probably should. It's ridiculous t

No. I was simply replying to your post about the giants front office being a big proponent of the rule.

Eh you don’t know he said and he looked down at the guy. They are cracking down at players standing over the opponents and talking smack.

Yeah, the ref probably doesn’t know either.

The call that lead to this current discussion was not 'standing over players', it was just stupid.   No Fun League, indeed.

I’ve admitted I posted in response to the giants front office being in favour of enforcing the rule of not taunting players after the fact.  I hadn’t seen the previous conversation in full.

Congrats, on the baby, now onto more serious stuff, is that my candy cane

I’ve now seen the video on the previous page and that flag was ridiculous. It’s like that rule where defenders couldn’t put all their weight on a QB.

Howie failed at getting him help over the years. Constantly getting doubled and tripled because the player Howie brought in became injured

That’d be a coaching failure, unless the player arrived as damaged goods

Kind of sucks because Hargrave (or Hargreaves as some of the dopes call him) looks ready to unleash this year.  While I’m still optimistic about that possibility, I almost expect Fletcher Cox to consistently decline at this point. I’m crossing my fingers for a couple more dominant years.

Super Bowl year Jernigan was a good pair with Cox

Schwartz didn't do much to help cox, constantly lining him up in the exact place and running him into double teams.

Are we blaming Howie for injuries too?

You have to read the card to find out...

I would guess at least 4 players from other teams  , will end up on birds 53

4 seems high but I would be fine with that.  Give me 1 or even 2 linebackers, 1 WR and maybe a DT or RB.

So 1 year out of how many?

You can if you want. He does employ the trainers/strength&conditioning people so you have that going for you. I was blaming Howie for bringing in old and oft injured players though

There are going to be some really annoying penalties this year.

We can all agree or disagree on whether or not we like the entire team sprinting to an end zone to celebrate after a turnover but how in the world is that encouraged and then something like this a penalty???  The NFL just can't help but get in the way of itself.

The only thing I can think would have caused that penalty is he was taunting the player he ran over and we couldn't hear it. I'm pretty sure they are enforcing taunting directed at other players more strictly this season.

Incomplete without a Swag or Drip rating.

If he signed anywhere near the league minimum I would have loved to see him back here.  Kendricks and Wilson would have been a great 1-2 and that would allow Singleton to be more of a roll player.

Not like he hasn’t tried at least. Bennie Logan, Jernigan, Beau Allen, Malik Jackson, Hargrave, now Milton. Some just haven’t worked out, injuries happen that shouldn’t be blamed on Howie.

Not sure how much Kendricks has left but he was an Intregal part of that 2017 team after Hicks went down

I said he failed

I guess. Beau & Bennie were decent, Jernigan had that one year. Malik was a fail. Hargrave has jury still out but looks good so far
