What do you guys think, Graham and Cox are right up there with Reggie and Jerome ??

Graham isn't Reggie White but no one is Reggie White.  Graham is just an all-time Eagle great player.  He hasn't put up the best numbers but he has been an above-average starter for years.  Mamula isn't a fair comparison in that part of Graham's lack of production was an early injury and then playing 3 seasons in a 3-4 scheme.  He's also a much more disruptive player than Mamula was and a better football player.   Look at Graham's TFL numbers.  He is, according to pro-football reference, number 35 all-time in that category. His closest comparison is really Trent Cole.  He is probably at his level and again an all-time great for the team.

Cox is a better player than Jerome.  Part of that is longevity which is unfortunate.  Jerome, however, wasn't as athletic or as disruptive as Cox.    Brown played on a d-line that was an all-time great between having White in his prime and Clyde Simmons.  He also had consistently good DT play next to him in Pitts and Golic.  Brown was very disruptive in more of a gap control scheme although he had a big season under Bud Carson who used the 46 but varied at times. Brown's production, I think, came when it was a known passing down and he had a favorable one on one matchup.  I think he was also sometimes the player cleaning up the sack that Simmons and Reggie created.0  Brown was a great player and it is sad that he died far too young.  It's not a slight on him to say Cox is better.  Cox is a HOF player.  He is athletic and disruptive and often the player that puts the pressure on QBs.  I mean how many times do we see him make QB's move.  How often do we see chasing down a RB from the backside.  He has a motor that is unique.  He actually reminds me more of Reggie White in terms of his body type and dominance at times.

Just some random comments for people who didn't watch the game and have no intention to do so. I find myself being more annoyed at the result of the game than I probably should. It's ridiculous t

There have been some interesting takes but this is top 5.

Sirianni being the next Bill Walsh was a "good" one, too. He's more likely to be the next Bill Cosby, but instead of drugging the women Nick just beats them at RPS.

When is the first round of major cuts?

Tuesday they have to cut down like 4 spots or something small.  There's no big cut until after the last pre-season game.

Sounds like an avatar bet is in order.  I win, you have to have a Bill Belichek avatar of my choosing for a month, you win, I have either the Jets or Dolphins coach avatar of your choosing for a month.

Deal - If for no other reason than I am sick of my current avatar.

That’s pretty disgusting.

So in other words, Hurts was bad today.

I think for ESP: Good = OK, OK=Bad, Bad=Pat Ryan

So you want the Patriots to suck because of hurt feelings about my comment.

I don't have feelings.  Also, I want the Patriots to suck because the reporter is a jackass as are all of their fans acting as if they didn't just luck into Brady and then cheat to win.

Such a tired narrative.  They didn't beat McNabb because they cheated, they beat McNabb because the secondary make Deion Branch look like Jerry Rice.

Yes and they cheated...

Obviously a lot can change, but it’s always interesting to see which of these mock draft guys don’t really pay attention to certain teams. Kyle Crabbs of TDN dropped his first mock & had Eagles drafting an OT at 6, and Luke Easterling had Eagles taking a LB at 9.

The Patriots will not make the playoffs this season and will lose twice to the Jets.

As long as they sweep the Dolphins I don't care.

I don't think you could have watched that Super Bowl and thought there were times when it seemed like they knew the Eagles defensive and offensive play calls.  It is a true statement to say they were punished for cheating and that cheating involved stealing signals from unauthorized cameras during games and taping pre-game walk-throughs without the consent of the opposing team.  It is also true that Jim Johnson believed that they knew the Eagles defensive play calls during the game.   It's not tired.  It is just a true statement that they broke the rules to win.  The NFL punished them for it.  Did they cheat in the Super Bowl? Who knows for certain but it seems likely.  Would they have won that game without breaking the rules? Who cares.  F them.

You do know that there are other talents then just physical talents, right?  Footwork, mechanics watching film and reading defenses can all be considered "talent".  Things that you have to work on to get better at.  It's not just physical acts that require talent.  An artist has talent.  A singer has talent.  A chef has talent.  They all need to work hard at their craft to perfect their talent.

What they are talking about is:

being on time

commitment

working hard

being detailed

eating right

staying out of trouble

I mean I could go on and on....

Footwork, mechanics and reading defenses are not "talent." They are skills developed through hard work.

Body control, coordination, football IQ are talent.

Talent is your innate genetic component, what you do with that talent generally depends on your intangibles, disciple, hard work, high motor, commitment, being detailed, etc.

I think this has been the craziest take I’ve seen on here yet

Hurts threw picks as well. Seriously doubt we "dominated" both sides of the ball like ESP said. Dominated is a very strong word to use, at least in my book, though it sounds as though we had a good day of practice. Let's see how it goes tomorrow now that we won day 1.

Are you saying something is rotten in Denmark?

If you go look at the Pats guys on Twitter, you would think they won the day.

Sorry to quote the whole selection not sure how to select one tweet.  For those that don't follow every Eagles player and memorize their social media handles, I wish they would give us their actual names...especially if it's someone no one really knows.  Reagor is obvious but who the heck is moronsex?

Fortunately I don't truly believe that. Can't say the same for some people...

If Mailata keeps improving and Lane stays healthy....an OT in round 1 with allllll of the needs on defense this would drive me crazy.

Maybe not, but craziest one I’ve read recently on here. I read the first post in that thread and immediately backed out
