I stopped listening to Birds With Friends for months after they started trashing Lurie for not hiring a black coach, the woke virtue signaling just was too much for me.

So I checked back in for the first time in months in their last couple recent episodes just to get their takes on what’s going on in camp and Bo Wulf said "the Eagles will never win with a guy like Darius Slay on their roster” and didn’t specify what he meant, but Berman gave the "let’s change the subject and not get into that now” which I’m assuming Bo saw his tweets about being skeptical of the vaccine. And he took a shot at Zach Wilson for something vaccine related.

Then in another episode Bo said the Eagles should make you required to be vaccinated to go to the Linc during the season. Even though the CDC themselves said outdoor spread is very rare.

Had to stop listening again. I checked out for months and my first episodes back, he’s still at it. I’ve listened to the show for a while, but I don’t remember Bo being this insufferable until this year. I guess it’s possible I just didn’t pick up on it until now. I’m sure he’s a nice guy, but it makes for grating on my ears podcasting. Don’t think I’ll be listening again any time soon. Maybe once the season starts, though if the Eagles suck I’m sure "they should’ve hired Duce Staley” will be a regular talking point 😩

Good ol', Bo Wulff. Everyone else has a problem but him.

I figured you would have stopped listening to that podcast when you decided to stop being an eagles fan. I thought that came before that criticism of our coaching search.

I don't think I have hear anyone labeled a racist for criticizing Cam Newton. I mean there's been a bunch of articles critical of the Patriots re-signing him and he was called washed up last year a far amount.  Newton's injuries have worn him down and he's just not the same after his shoulder injury.

Came after and I’m taking time off from watching them. Though I can always change based on how I feel about things. Whatever is best for me 😁

He was just as bad last year.  They would do season prediction and schedule win loss prediction columns and Bo doing this unfunny shtick where he keeps talking about games being canceled and this and that.  Just a total doom and gloomer.

It's going to be really interesting to see what he hitches his horse onto when Hurts inevitably improves with his performance in the 2nd half of games. 

 

We got a peak of what it might be int he first preseason game though when he was seriously complaining about Hurts not running out leading the team onto the field when the teams were introduced.

Give the guy a chance; that's been my opinion the entire time.  I thought he showed MORE THAN ENOUGH to warrant a "chance" at starting for this team this year.

They have good insight into the players.  I don't think it's virtue signaling.  I think the point about the Eagles about not hiring a black coach was really a kind of dig at what Bo thinks is maybe empty virtue signaling by the Eagles.  I think the point about mandatory vaccines and Slay is simply him expressing a common frustration.  People who are unvaccinated at this point are morons.  Slay is a moron for not getting vaccinated as is Cousins or any other person with access, a significant financial risk and some minimal intellectual ability.  I also think the Eagles, as a private company, could mandate vaccines to attend games and most fans would be happy about it.  If it makes some morons not go, then good riddance.  Stay inside and don't go to games.

Apparently Mailata smacked him on the head first. Mills jumped offsides and Jordan went to point at him but smacked him so Mills kinda shoved back, but it wasn't anything too serious. At least that's Mailata's side of the story.

He was average to very good in his first 5 seasons and not bad for about the next 2.  He has been downhill since that time.  I think he was called out a lot in terms of his attitude after the Super Bowl.  I have not heard anyone called racist about getting called out and I think there were a fair amount of former players that called him out about it.  Maybe some of the criticism is based on racial bias but what does it matter.  More of it has been based on his play.  Maybe it's because I live in NC but I think plenty of fans and media here were critical without any accusations about racism.

Just, lol. For context, the full away team roster at joint practices gets dropped off at the same time. It's not like they're going to stop for Rita's water ice before heading to the field. And if their "dynamic warmup" consists of standing around, but as a full team, then sure, "dynamic warmup." 

Meanwhile, home team players trickle out to the practice fields from meetings/treatment/etc. The idea that this is some kind of great example that "tHe pAtRiOTs >>>>> eVeRYoNe eLsE" is hilarious. I'm skeptical that the Eagles will have a moment of self-reflection and "do things differently" because the Pats stood around as a full team before the start of practice.

It's hard for me to shake that image of him scoring a rushing TD against the Eagles and celebrating in the end zone with none of his teammates -- not one.  

He's never seemed like the most popular dude in the locker room, much less a leader.

Even if you can ignore Bo Wulf's political asides, it's insufferable how he's constantly cutting off Zach Berman just so he can make an irreverent comment.

I think that was one of the reasons Steve Smith didn't get re-signed.  They wanted to make room for Cam to lead the team. To some degree it worked out but he alienated a lot of his team basically calling out the o-line play in their loss to the Broncos.
