The best sport to go to live imo is hockey. I would actually rank football last out of the 4 major sports. Tailgating at football games might actually be better than the watching of the football game. Basketball probably third just cause the technology of tv has made it much more enjoyable. Still really enjoy going to baseball

Agreed, although he would of been bullied more if would of snapped that kids neck and went to Juvenile hall. That looked rough but still funny lol.

They have an incredible organization, have won some Calder Cups and always put a great product on the ice. I've still never been to a Flyers game but for $26 and a 30 minute drive you can't beat going to see the Bears play. Always great to see them beat up on WB-Scranton too.

I don't remember much of the hassle.

A group of American's just watched their entire adulthood crumble before there eyes. There's a lot of people dying inside right now. I thank Providence for every vet that made it through and am embarrassed that we as a nation put that burden on you. I would buy anyone of them a drink if I could and did a few at chance meetings in airport bars. I also look at all and who we lost or injured and shake my head in shame. None of it found and killed bin Laden and very little of it focused on Al Queda, which is why we went there. Would rather have spent trillions on US infrastructure instead of Iraq’s and Afghanistan’s, too. We have a generation of heroes that I really hope are not forgotten for answering a call to serve in an increasingly unpopular war. I grew up with the Viet Nam War. I really wish with all my heart that the tragedies and miseries faced by those vets don’t visit the current group.
August 17, 20214 yr So the Peacock network is making a Field of Dreams based series. Is a different dead dad coming out of the corn for a game of catch each episode. WTF.

How could people possibly be skeptical of the pharmaceutical industry? Have you watched commercial television? First the drug advertisement comes on and because of litigation narrates a litany of side affects (my favorite being "if you are allergic to this product, quit taking it”) followed by the advertisements for the mill attorneys "have you suffered because of_________, if you or a loved one took_________ call 1-800-We Get 40% + Costs. And my industry, underwriting pharmaceutical companies allowing errors and hanging our hats on regulatory exemption to avoid massive payouts. So if you play CB for a living, who do you trust. There are morons (sheep) that are not vaccinated for political reasons and stupid acceptance of social media misinformation (not tweets from borderline Eagles beat "reporters”), but some vaccine hesitant look at the confusion created by growing scientific knowledge and the lack of actual approval by the FDA and are waiting. The latter aren’t any more morons than I am for taking the vaccine when available to me six months after others got the vaccine. I will accept my industry’s role in helping create the skepticism, will you? I have to respectfully disagree, FDA approval is more a formality than anything, jumping through hoops. 100 million have taken the vaccine, other than minor hiccups with J&J, the two better vaccines have had almost zero reaction, no recorded fatalities that I'm aware of, and long-term effects are highly unlikely (most vaccine impacts are allergies, which doesn't seem to be an issue with the MRNA vaccines) - now compare to COVID, not just mortality, but "long hauler" impacts on up to 10% of infected (and the actual impacts are still unknown and mortality impacts may not be known for another decade). Vaccines aren't like drug regimes, where long-term use can lead to unexpected side effects (gee, the trial went for six months, but we have patients on it for ten years . . . ). The cost/benefit is ridiculously one sided in favor of vaccines, not to mention the social value of herd immunity.

For me, I've always been a fan of watching the ice get cleaned. Just a great time. Not trying to change your mind just curious.

The idea of the game was great. They lucked out and had one for the ages. I think it would be neat to maybe start a Field of Dreams game once per season and leave it at that. Almost like the Winter Classic. Rotate the teams and such. Even that would take away from how special the game was. However, like anything these days, it's never good enough and they will ruin a good thing.

I’d love to trash talk to the players on the bench. In good fun. Almost all loved it. I once told Leslie on the Ontario reign that i was gonna take his mom out to a nice seafood dinner and never call her again. He gave me a thumbs up and couldn’t stop laughing. At the end of the game he gave us his stick. Honestly hockey players are usually really fun and awesome guys.

Like they have a cult following just for him.

One of the funniest books I've ever read is Slap Shot Original by Dave Hanson. It's all about the making of the movie and the real team they modeled the Chiefs after. Minor league hockey in the 70s sounds like it was a wild experience.

A difference between typical outdoor events and stadiums is the density of the seating. An outdoor event where people are the vaunted 6 feet apart is one thing, the Linc may be another. I don't know the seat spacing at the Linc (never been there) but I doubt it's 6 feet. There should still be excellent air movement compared to interior spaces and lots more UV during the day but I wonder if that would be enough to limit/eliminate transmission of nasty airborne viruses. Well there was a massive concert with thousands of people bunched in recently I think in Illinois maybe? And there doesn’t seem to have been any evidence that it as a spreader event. I think if they require masks that’s good enough. I really don’t see an Eagles game anymore dangerous than anything else. Who knows

Got to talk to Riley cote recently as my sister and her company had a business meeting. Super awesome guy.

I just think we need to better understand those that might have hesitancy. Excuse the regulators all you want but it is BS that the vaccines are not full approved with 50% of the US having been vaccinated and close to 70% partially vaccinated. They have tons of data. WTF more do they need? It is regulator CYA or worse PYJ (Protect Your Job) over regulation perhaps because of US government bears the liability. Why else take your time approving it, when the polls suggest tha some of the vaccine hesitant would then get the shot. You don’t refute that as to approval that the "jumping through hoops” is a bit of over regulation. You sound like you agree more than you disagree. I swear if I had a nickel for every time I saw a regulator more concerned with PYJ than the greater good, my wealth would put Bezos to shame.
