Just some random comments for people who didn't watch the game and have no intention to do so. I find myself being more annoyed at the result of the game than I probably should. It's ridiculous t

People always say that about hockey--"its so awesome in person!"

I dont think so, I think still sucks.  Im sure its fun as hell to play,  but unless you're in the 4th row you cant see ish, you have to wait for the horn/lights to even know if the puck went in half the time

Ive never gotten some peoples obsession with hockey and never will.  After 5 minutes its boring as hell to me and very repetitive, you have to have a rooting interest IMO.

This is literally every single sport lol. Same stuff every minute. It's all a preference of what you don't mind watching for 3 hours

Also, can we just work out a trade of Ertz to the Pats while its convenient?  I was reading one of their practice reports complaining about their TEs.  Well, we have them in spades.  Lets just work something out, Ertz can walk across the field and change clothes, done and done.

This may just happen.  The top brass of both sides are together, and they will talk.  They see Ertz in action in close range.  It is way easier to get deals done in this setting.

That said, reports are Ertz is putting in his efforts in practices and pre-season game.  The professional ethics is there.  So long his mind and effort are with the team, don't mind to have him around the team.

Well there was a massive concert with thousands of people bunched in recently I think in Illinois maybe? And there doesn’t seem to have been any evidence that it as a spreader event.

I think if they require masks that’s good enough. I really don’t see an Eagles game anymore dangerous than anything else. Who knows

His Michael Jackson dance at the line was interesting.  He has some quick feet.

I'm waiting for the Sturgis fallout, what could go wrong with 800K people at a bike rally where the majority is probably not vaccinated or taking precautions.

The problem is the Delta variant is far more contagious than the European variant which peaked last February.

I don’t remember if this was ever posted, but…. not looking good. This year and possibly next.

It's not surprising, when you realize the reason teams usually end up in cap hell, attempting one or two more runs with an aging team, so when they finally bite the bullet, they've got an old roster with no cap room. Which is when the rebuild begins.

In the NFL, you can rebuild from scratch in 3 years, as long as you don't have Cleveland's former GMs running the show.

Well I suppose for me is no one in my family likes sports, like not even a little. So I basically taught myself how to play everything by just going outside and getting in on pick up games. Well hockey was never one of those sports lol. None of those kids or even in school no one talked about hockey or gave a crap about it.

When you go 20-30 something years with no one playing it or even talking about it, plus having a family that hates all sports you tend to get discouraged when no one likes any of the other sports you do like as kid. So learning football, basketball and baseball all on my own I couldn't possibly add another sport lol. So that's part of the explanation.

So by the time I was able to understand sports and have an actual TV in my bedroom I was obsessed with the football and basketball and didn't really bother caring what happens with hockey. I've tried watching it a few times and it bores the hell out of me.

I mean maybe a live game would change my mind, most things are better right live..  hell I freaking loved going to NASCAR races in the Poconos. Now? Haven't watched a race in probably 15 years because I couldn't get free tickets anymore and I'm not watching that sheet on tv lol.

I hear you.  Definitely all comes down to environments we are brought up in.  I would 100% suggest going to a game live...even an AHL game.  Even if you don't know the ins and outs, it's non-stop action and being a sports fan I'd imagine you'll pick up on things fast.  I'm not a NASCAR fan but I've been to some dirt track races up here at Williams Grove and the old Silver Spring track that is no more.

Another live sport that is a lot of fun live....the rodeo.  I have a client who takes me to the Cowtown rodeo and man can that get exciting...also never hurts to have cute country gals walking around in cutoffs.

I guess the 400,000 at Lollapalooza were surely all vaccinated in your mind.  Waiting on the fallout there, too?

I had a friend in high school his name is Kevin, he was a big strong farm boy. There was another kid named Doug who liked to bully people and dreamed of being a professional boxer (he was big and fast with his hands). One day Doug cornered Kevin in the bath room and kept jabbing him and keeping Kevin in the corner until Kevin went completely insane and kicked Doug's arse from one end of the bathroom to the other. It was great to see and did a great job at humbling Doug for the rest of his high school career.

Gotta love that.  It's funny, if you look up that fight on youtube, the little bully tries to play the victim card.  Also, big hoss appears to wear the same outfit every day, even in the interview.

The latest "taunting" penalty thing may end it.

Sometimes you need to get your ass kicked to understand how things work in the world.

Or take an HR class in bullying, of course

I get a feeling the Smith/Reagor/Watkins is going to be a big surprise this year, if Hurts can get them the ball in space.  All three of them can go deep down the sideline, which seems to be a Hurts specialty.

Actually having speed on offense!!

Soccer would be much more entertaining if they incorporated some of basketball or hockey rules into the game.  Say a shot clock or a back court violation something that forces more attack and less retreat.

True.  The worst thing we have going to us right now seems to be that Miles Sanders can't catch consistently.  That would be a big help.

Just get rid of the offside rule.  Actually, indoor soccer was somewhat watchable but would have been better with body contact.

You guys do realize they just signed TWO of the top Free Agent TE’s like 4 months ago? And gave both top 5 money. They aren’t going to also trade for Ertz just to have a third TE make $8.5M
