It’s really hard to refute "made some plays in kick off coverage” (whatever that means) and "plays like someone that wants a job (whatever that means) across 7 whole snaps. Clearly that’s solid proof he’s the best ST’er we got. Yeah but you are forgetting about the non talented things JJAW does so well that we don’t see

You barely hear about him in camp, he wasn’t targeted once in the preseason game, and it’s not like the team is invested in him at all from a money as well as draft pick standpoint. I wonder if they actually have the guts to cut Fulgham and that four-game sample where he outproduced three years of JJAW. Fans might revolt.

I can’t totally see them doing it. This is the same team that benched him during that time cause alshon returned.

I think they would. I have to imagine it was somebody on the coaching staff or Howie that leaked the "bad practice attitude” reports when they cut back on his playing time. I’m also not entirely in on buying the JJAW stuff just yet. He played deep into that first preseason game and I think he’s getting more credit just because he’s one of two WR’s over 6ft that has a shot at making the roster. If they seriously stick with Ertz I can’t see them going with all 3 of Fulgham, Whiteside and Ward.

Though that's only in preseason and regular season IMO Lol I'm amazed no one made the joke Yeah in the regular season they can be really nice. Especially if the defender is playing tight defense.

Im thinking that the coaches are hoping smith and reagors emergence will make Fulham emerging a bonus rather than a need. and the Watkins kid needs to see the field he looks special. i really don’t see how he fits in if the guys in front of him stay healthy and progress

Interestingly, last week I heard Mike Lombardi say Jimmy Johnson brought the Quarters defense with him from Miami. Most NFL people said this "college system” wouldn’t work in the NFL. Unfortunately, they were wrong. Have we learned any more about Gannon’s philosophy since training camp started? Sorry. I didn't realize that is what they ran. I've watched it run at West Virginia since 2002. Todd Graham installed it and Jeff Casteel perfected it there. It has certainly caused fits for schools for years, including BCS wins over Oklahoma, Georgia, and Clemson.

He has talent, just needs to put it all together and show up on GameDay. Sirianni seems pretty happy with his development. Personally, I think he is going to surprise us this year.

I don't know enough about the coaching, except to say they seem very active and engaged with the players at this point. Fingers crossed that it translates to player development and wins. I should have told you earlier. It's not a positive to compliment him.
August 18, 20214 yr People are way over excited over Reagor and 2 catches in the preseason. I have to see a more consistent Reagor during real games in both route running and holding onto the ball. I was not a fan of him being drafted but I said the best we could see him and hope he becomes is a solid number 2. Way to early to determine that. Have to pump the brakes here on all the over hype off some preseason catches.

No one has drawn any conclusions based off of them.

Have to pump the brakes here on all the over hype off some preseason catches. I don't understand why it is such a crime to be happy that a 1st round pick is making positive strides right now. Those catches were insane. To see him making contributions in camp and getting positive reviews from his coach and the media is a good thing. Right? My feelings on him have not changed, since draft day. IMO, he will be a major contributor to the Eagles over his career. He has too much raw talent, but fell into a bad, bad situation last year. He just needs hard coaching and time to mature and develop.
August 18, 20214 yr Regarding getting excited about practice I think it is time to bring in the wisdom of the Dalai Lama: "No matter what activity or practice we are pursuing, there isn't anything that isn't made easier through constant familiarity and training. Through training we can change; we can transform ourselves..." Of course, he goes on to talk about training the mind through meditation but the jist of the above is obvious: gotta practice to make the changes. So it's good to see guys like Reagor, Mailata, Hurts, Watkins, Wallace, and of course the ones we take for granted like Kelce, Brooks, Johnson, Slay working hard to transform themselves. Seeing it in practice is the first step and it is OK to acknowledge the progress being made. Next step is keep practicing. Guys like Kelce never stop.
