McNabb wasn't a polished passer getting McNabb to 60% was a miraculous feat.

Reid developed AJ feeley and won games with him, then turned that into a high pick in a trade

He won a playoff game with an old over the hill Garcia.

He developed kolb enough that he was able to trade him for a good pick.

Kafka come on now...

Then he took Vick and molded him into a respectable passer.

In KC he took Alex Smith and got him going.

At green bay he worked with brunell and Matt hasselbeck.

And now he's got Mahomes.

Reid has a pretty good track record.

Walsh had Montana and Rice.

I think it's a fair debate to suggest Reid might have been better at developing qbs than Walsh though one could make the case for Walsh as well as he won 3 super bowls with Montana whom I would rank as the GOAT.

Donovan McNabb completed 62.5% of his passes his last year at Syracuse.  He only eclipsed that number once as a pro, the year he had TO.  He completed 61.8% of his passes as a freshman.  He only eclipsed that number once as a pro, the year he had TO.

AJ Feely was 4-3 as a starter, and the more he played, his completion percentage got worse.  And he sucked when he move on.

Garcia completed 53% of his passes for 153 yards in the playoff win.  Westbrooks 20 carries for 141 yards won that game.

Kevin Kolb, just like AJ Feely, the more he played, the lower his completion percentage was.  And he sucked when he moved on.

Vicks stats are about the same with Atlanta and Philadelphia, had one year completing just over 60% of his passes.

Alex Smith had a noticeable improvement.

Matt Hasselbeck completed 55% of his passes with 7 TD's and 8 picks his first year in Seattle.  Mike Holmgren and Seattle's coaching staff developed him.  He got better when he moved on.

Brunell, completed 58% of his passes with 15 TD's and 7 picks his first year in Jacksonville.  Their coaching staff developed him.  He got better when he moved on.

Reid did not develop any QB's he drafted.  They were the same guy when they came into the league when they left the league.

Just some random comments for people who didn't watch the game and have no intention to do so. I find myself being more annoyed at the result of the game than I probably should. It's ridiculous t

Absolutely.  Brooks also didn’t cost us draft capital and spent more time at his best.  But Andrews was more dominant.

You failed to mention that McNabb had a 49% completion as a rookie.

Look one can debate who was better at developing qbs Reid or Walsh but to say Reid didn't develop anyone and just dismiss it Al together is short sighted.

Give me a list of qbs that Walsh developed.

Its a short list, has one name on it.

I just googled "Shawn Andrews.” It returned the guy who wanted to throw the house party in Dazed and Confused.

The Eagles’ Andrews went from the verge of "best ever” to almost completely forgotten. Crazy

Try googling get my michael phelps on.  He should pop right up.

Okay, what? Reid did not develop any QB when drafted cause they were those QBs in college? The hell.

College ain’t the NFL.

Yes but brooks cost more money so...

Too bad that doesnt make him a better qb

Sounds like he is developing into one when multiple reports have him looking like the best QB from the Patriots-Eagles joint practice which included a former Super Bowl MVP, former league MVP and recent 15th overall selection in the draft.

And then it took him 5 years as a pro to pass his freshman and senior year completion percentage at Syracuse.  McNabb was the same guy his entire career, his best year took a hall of fame WR.

You still have yet to prove one QB he developed.

Please list all the QB's Andy Reid developed.  McNabb was always a 60% passer in his career.  He had a spike to 64% with TO, but was always the same.  Tell us how he developed the QB"s he drafted.  Kevin Kolb, AJ Feely, Mike Kafka ??  With his other teams, he had Brett Favre ( Reid did not become the QB coach until 5 years into Favre's tenure in Green Bay)  and has Patrick Mahommes.

The team traded AJ Feeley and Kolb for 2nd round picks because of how they played under Andy Reid.  Vick had a great year under Reid.  McNabb had limitations but he's also the franchise leader in passing yards and TDs. He had accuracy issues but Reid got the most out of him despite his limitations.  He has Mahomes but it's silly to say he has had no role in his development.  Reid is a great QB coach and probably has a better track record than almost any other coach now coaching.

That’s a shame. Now he’s an IR stash at least. TE is now set barring an Ertz trade.

I just googled him and he was the first person to come up on the page

He can't go to PUP. He can't go to IR without being waived. He probably makes the 53 and then is put on IR so he can return at some point.

He throws some really nice balls so the passing skills are there.  23 year old that just needs to develop further. Has all the leadership intangibles and work ethic to successfully develop the other aspects of his game.

Love to have him prove me wrong. I just see another "good leader" who is a "playmaker" that ends up being just a guy who gets his *** kicked by a real QB in the playoffs.

Sad you had to explain the comparison. But not surprising.

Is a horrible comparison. There is no comparison.

If Hurts takes this previously 4-11-1 team to the playoffs then he is doing something right.

Assuming everyone stays healthy, I wonder if this sets up the Eagles for making a trade deadline deal for Ertz.

Great...

So if they put him on IR now his season is done. Needs to make the 53 his they want him to be eligible to return this year. Annoying

Eagles are trading for Ertz? That would be an interesting twist
