Just some random comments for people who didn't watch the game and have no intention to do so. I find myself being more annoyed at the result of the game than I probably should. It's ridiculous t

This is some "yell at the cloud" old man thinking.

Imagine wanting to see less offense.

Watching a pitcher handle a bat(or lack there of) is one of the worst things to watch in all of sports.

It introduces infinitely more strategy than a DH, thats the point

Baseball is now unwatchable because of the full commitment to offense.  Enjoy the 1-2 home runs in between 30 strikeouts!  Yaay

He’s not healthy now. When he’s ready… whenever that is let him play. Even as a backup. Just sitting out the whole year for the sake of getting extra rest makes no sense to me.

Right.  It makes no sense to keep him out if he's 100%.  The experience is more valuable than extra rest.

This just sounds all too familiar to Sidney Jones.  I really hope he pans out but I 100% have my reservations with him.

7. A lot of people have been asking about what the Eagles have in mind for Landon Dickerson. I’m thinking the plan is to use this year as a physical recovery year. As long as Isaac Seumalo, Jason Kelce and Brandon Brooks stay healthy, there’s no need to rush Dickerson along. And Nate Herbig — who’s started to get center reps — is a solid guy who can capably back up any of the three inside spots. There’s no urgency to rush Dickerson back onto the field, and considering his long history of injuries, what he needs most right now is to just get his body right. Dickerson isn’t practicing yet, and there’s no word when he’ll start. The Eagles really have the luxury of bringing their vaunted second-round pick along slowly, letting him learn Jeff Stoutland’s technique and just doing a lot of healing. We all want to see him play, but in the interest of his long-term future, it’s best to wait.

Who is the 'thinker' here?   This isn't reporting, this is an opinion piece.

That was from Reuben Frank's 10 Observations, sorry I forgot to mention where it was from.

So... not an observation, but a speculation.

See, I dont care if they miss practice, I dont care if he skips training camps etc etc etc.

If he's 100% and they hold him out, i'd be upset

if he's 95% and they hold him out, I'd be ok with it.

Kids 22 years old, so if hhe waits a year he's a rookie at 23, literally no difference

Line 2 is what I was getting at. If healthy.

I’ll give the Angels credit for letting him do both. Most teams make him pick one or the other.

Agreed.

Universal DH is more likely than then getting rid of it.  Again, MLB is clueless

I agree, I hate the DH

I know.

Can you provide the link in the future so the writer can get some potential clicks, please?

That’s just how the game is played right now. Everyone is aiming for power. All they’d have to do is maybe lower the pitchers mound or something to make it easier to hit, but we’re in an ERA where everyone wants the long ball. Eventually someone is gonna have to learn how to bunt to beat the shift.

Hard to disagree with this list. Quez and Milton especially. Guys who we might not have thought could he major contributors this year but are looking more and more legit by the day. Ridiculous physical ability.

Back end of the roster, I'm looking at Patrick Johnson and Jason Huntley. Would love to see those guys make a solid case for themselves; intriguing athletic profiles.

This is so true

Actually... it's not true.   In college, windows are bigger and stay open for longer... in the NFL, the windows are smaller and they close faster.    The ball still travels faster than the man, that's just silly.  I get his meaning, but the statement itself is not accurate.   Good idea, bad way of expressing it.

Off topic, RIP Sonny Chiba.  When I was a kid I watched every martial arts movie I could find.  Saw a ton of his movies.

Why do windows close faster ?

not because the ball moves slower , because the players are faster

The players are faster in the NFL than they are in college.  They are not faster than the ball, which is what he said.

That was my understanding and belief all along.  Which is why I hated the pick.  Like the player.  Like the guy.  Hated the pick...for us...there.

Agreed.  100%.

Baseball has always been unwatchable for me.

But hey to each their own

Yup.

I'm looking for the eagles to run the ball a bit more, last game they had 11 total carries, some of that had to do with the defense letting pitt have the ball for 40 minutes.

Hopefully the second and 3rd units can be a bit better as last time it was ugly.

Howie said that he wasn’t going to be a redshirt. I don’t know where you got that snippet from, but it goes against what the GM has said.

Howie has a great record of honesty with the fans.
