The players are faster in the NFL than they are in college.  They are not faster than the ball, which is what he said.

Good catch

Just some random comments for people who didn't watch the game and have no intention to do so. I find myself being more annoyed at the result of the game than I probably should. It's ridiculous t

If his name was Joey, and his hair was light brown with a pale complexion, MLB would be promoting him as the (or one of) crown jewel of their game.

Does the MLB promote anybody though?  For years many felt Trout was the best in the game but he wasn't promoted either.

Problem is nobody cares about regular season baseball.  People watch once the postseason starts.  The big names need to be in the postseason like Ohtani, Tatis, Vlad Jr, etc.  Nobody cared about Trout all those years because the Angels didn't make the playoffs.

Universal DH is more likely than then getting rid of it.  Again, MLB is clueless

I agree, I hate the DH

When Peter Ueberroth was commissioner, they ran a survey among all fans about whether they wanted the DH or didn't. Supposedly this national survey -- election, if you will -- was supposed to determine what Major League Baseball was going to implement permanently. Well, it turns out that the vote was against the DH. Obviously this was a surprise, and the idea that the vote was actually going to be implemented was ignored. It was obvious as hell that they were planning on shoving the DH down our throats and were going to use the vote as justification.

I suspect a vote now would turn out in favor of the DH, but that's not the point.

Good stuff.  I love seeing and hearing coaches coach.  I am warming up to NS.  I hope to eat that crow.

There is no use mic'ing up a player.  They spend half of the time walking around warning people that they are mic'd up.

A lot will depend on how good/bad he is delegating, game planning, and in-game management.  I'd really like him to let Steichen call the plays during the game so he can focus on the flow of the game and decision-making -- I always thought Doug had trouble in that area because he was focused on play calling.

How much crap are they talking on the coaches for Sanders to be warning everyone that he is mic'd up?

DH really takes the management of the lineup out of the game. Hate the idea.  Yeah, it keeps aging sluggers around longer but it hurts the professional game.  Not that doing away with it is likely to bring me back to watching the game.

Sirianni is gonna call the plays, but he will relay them to and through the OC. We will see how it all plays out.

No ones calling Dillard.

Or if they do, it's a "hey when you cutting that jabaroni"

Or it's "hey, we will give you a 2025 7th round pick"

Conditional 6th. If he starts 70% of the snaps, it becomes a 5th. If he makes the Pro Bowl, we all do snow angels in hell.

So you don't think they can trade him ??  I would be willing to bet they can, and get as high as a 2nd round pick for him.

He was the consensus #2 tackle in the 2019 draft, and people will pay for potential.

Eagles would be fortunate to get an early day 3 draft pick for Dillard.  He's 26 years old and hasn't shown any potential at the pro level.  The reports on him 3 years in are that of physical and mental weakness.
