Joint scrimmages are more valuable than pre-season games, b/c you can script the action, match 1sts against 1sts and 2nds against 2nds, and focus on what you want to see instead of hoping those situation arise in an exhibition game.

You' re trying to get reps and evaluate players, both are easier to control in scrimmages.

They'll have had two scrimmages, day off, then an exhibition game. Repeat next week with the Jets.

Just some random comments for people who didn't watch the game and have no intention to do so. I find myself being more annoyed at the result of the game than I probably should. It's ridiculous t

No Ostman now. Williams is going to play 100% of snaps

That third string DL is going to be reaaal tired tonight, considering they were gassed after one drive last week.

So why is Reid playing starters an entire half?

If there is no value to preseason games, just eliminate them and stop extorting the public.  The NFL can't say they matter... pay us for them, while also saying (by their actions) that they are just a nuisance that the teams are trying to survive.

Was Michael Barkann replaced on Eagles Post Game live?  Everyone doing pre-game but him.

He doesn't have to defend Reid any more, now he has to defend Lowie and their plan where they force their philosophy on Sirianni, while they blame it on him.

They aren't tackling in practice though.  We saw some poor tackling last week.  So what, our best defensive players will have played one or two series of tackling all of the summer before jumping into the regular season?  Seems reckless and asking for all sorts of bad missed tackles early season.

Sorry Landon, it's been done much better.

Braless - Salopette & no shirt is a regular outfit? We think so... so change the world girls! :) #braless | Facebook

Yes and no. I'm guessing more of the same next week. Avant and Mikell were talking about it and both agreed starters should get some kind of ramp up leading up to week 1, because it will be hard to play a full game without getting easily gassed. Plus with no live tackling during camp, I can see them coming out rusty.

Eh, I feel like folks freak out about this every year and it rarely ends up having a big impact

Couldn't have found bigger picture for a proper zoom in?

Starters should be playing 1.5 quarters but they better at least play the whole 1st.

Hey, I did a quick search it's the best I could find.  My apologies.  🤣

You don't think the team looked sloppy at the start of last season because of the canceled preseason games?

The team was dog crap all year, you could really tell the difference?

Outside of 2016 they haven’t really looked sharp the first quarter of the season. But I don’t think you can blame it on a certain thing like preseason because there were other factors like Carson missing beginning of 2018, other injuries, etc.

That doesn't excuse the defense not being able to tackle.

I thought so and I remember the team likely being rusty in the beginning discussed

Could have been a factor but who knows

True. Seeing 56 year old Vernon Davis hurdle someone (Gerry?) in 2019 was pretty bad.

When did Seaumolo change number to 56?

I had to say goodbye to this beautiful face last night, and I’ve been a wreck ever since. Tonight’s game will be the first game I’ve watched without her in the past five years; it’s heart-wrenching. I miss my baby girl.

However, I'm going to try being excited for some Eagles’ football and be grateful I got to experience a Super Bowl win with her.

It's better than CBs with single digits.
